Great staff, doctors, everyone was very helpful, accommodating and friendly. It was a great experience.

After getting a severe cut to my right thumb I got patched up at ER at Northside Canton. Thankfully they referred me to Atlanta Hand Specialists. Dr. Patel quickly scheduled surgery to repair a severed nerve. Everything went great and I am fully recovered. I cannot recommend him and the entire staff and highly enough.

When I injured my hand last month I called and received an appointment within two hours. Dr. Patel was extremely helpful, concerned and explained everything to me. Since that time I have had three follow-up appointments and have never waited longer than five minutes to be seen. The staff at this office as well as Dr. Patel are outstanding.

I see Dr Amit Patel at this location. Dr. Patel has done 3 surgeries on my hands: 1: trigger finger, right hand, October 2019, 2: ganglion cyst on finger, left hand, December 2019,3: carpal tunnel, right hand, August 2021. He is an excellent Dr! And his staff personnel are awesome, so nice, professional, friendly! I live in Dahlonega, GA and it is always a pleasure going to their office!

My wife Kimberly and I have both needed help with our hands and wrists.Kimberly had surgery on her wrist due to a cyst. Dr. Patel did a wonderful job and she is able to resume normal activities.I have had numerous injections in my fingers due to trigger finger. Dr. Patel has taken really good care of me. I can now return to playing golf with a full grip

Dr Amit Patel was wonderful, very responsive to questions, very attentive to my surgical needs. He always saw me at my appointment time and the physical therapy staff was very thorough. Kudos to this practice and Dr Patel.

I sliced the top of my hand with a very sharp piece of metal and cut through my extensor tendon. I walked into the canton location in a panic, but Dr. Patel and that staff were absolutely amazing. They guided me through the entire process and always kept me up to date on a time line for my hand. I’m two months past surgery and have full movement back in my hand. Dr. Patel did a fantastic job putting my hand and tendon back together. The staff were always polite and very helpful. The Physical therapist, Robert, is also amazing. He kept track of all my measurements and progress and is very honest. Their goal is truly to fix and guide you through the process of a full recovery. I am extremely thankful I was directed towards this hand surgeon and facility.

Doctor Patel was an amazing surgeon. He was so very polite and nice he helped my partner Dustin so much after his accident that severed his tendons. If your looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable hand surgeon I could not speak more highly and recommend Dr Amit Patel honestly the level of care was outstanding. And the compassion for his patients is unmatched. Hope to never need his services again god willing but if needed he would be the surgeon we would want.

Dr Amit Patel was so awesome! After an accident, I tore my Ulnar Collateral Ligament. I was initially told by an urgent care it was a bad sprain so 12+ wks had passed before seeing Dr Patel. He explained everything in detail. He questioned the MRI report and got it read by a second radiologist. First report suggested total reconstruction surgery but he did not think it needed that with looking at the images and his suspicions were correct! He has such a caring bedside manner and involves you in the decision making. We voted for surgery which ended up being the right thing to do as my ligament needed to be anchored and repaired but he was right, it was not in need of a compete reconstruction! Now I am doing PT and my thumb is awesome. He also had to deal with my active farm life looming over my recovery! Patience of a saint with me he had! I would highly recommend him! Awesome doctor! I am extremely grateful for all he did and for his patience and willingness to get me out of the cast as soon as possible! Yay!

Dr. Patel was super helpful in getting my fractured wrist back in working order. He’s very thorough and makes sure you heal well. Michelle and Robert’s therapy helped tremendously after the cast was removed. Would definitely recommend ATL Hand specialist to anyone with hand/arm injuries

I have nothing but great things to say about Dr Patel and his staff. I had a very serious accident to three fingers on my right hand. Dr Patel came to the emergency room to apply temporary sutures to my hand. This was followed by an office appointment the next morning and surgery several days later. Three months later my hand has healed and I am now doing therapy to gain full use of my hand.

Office was clean and taking COVID-19 precautions. Friendly receptionist, Lacy was extremely nice and lowered my anxiety. Dr. Patel was great. Seemed very knowledgeable and put together a plan for treatment. Was a great experience!

I went in to have my hand examined, it had been causing me pain for a few weeks. Dr.Patel didnt spend much time with me in his office & didnt seem to pay attention to anything I said about how work was affecting it. He sent me right back to work with a brace that didnt help me at all (& it broke twice while I was working)- the PT that was there even understood & asked more questions about my job & requirements it entails & was equally as shocked that I was being sent back to work with no restrictions. To clarify, I work for a paint company & I am lifting gallons & buckets that can weigh up to 60 or 70lbs per bucket. I told dr.patel this & he said that I would be okay as long as I wore my brace. That is the furthest thing from the truth. I havent wanted to return because it felt like he just wanted me in & out instead of taking the time to actually assess my wrist & an actual treatment plan. It has been over a month & I just received the bill for my 1 xray & the consultation. Which he charged me over $900 for 10 minutes of his time just to tell me to ice it and take advil since I cant rest it. He also googled the diagnosis in front of me. I will not be returning & I wish I could have my money back because it was not worth it to go.

Doctor Patel removed a benign cyst on my ring finger after 16 months from surgery my finger is worst then ever can’t even move it now 5/14/21Patel toid me a month after surgery had a bad joint would never be normal. I had carpal tunnel with two trigger fingers on my right hand. I made an appointment with Atlanta Hand Specialist and got in with ease. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. One of the friendliest office staffs I’ve ever been. Dr. Amit Patel looked at my X-rays, then suggested surgery to relive the pain I was experiencing. He went over ever detail of what he was going to do as well as what I could expect. The whole experience, though no one wants to go through surgery, was a pleasant one, especially with the staff that makes you feel like one of the family.

Dr, Patel, Robert, and the whole team were great!Every time I went in for a visit the staff was very prompt and pleasant. I felt very safe with the COVID precautions every took. Dr. Patel did surgery on my cubital tunnel and carpel tunnel, same arm and in the same operation. I honestly dont remember much of that.The follow up appointments with the staff and Dr. Patel were all good.Robert was great with the physical therapy! Very clear about what I should be doing at home and pushing me but not too hard.About 10 months after I first felt numbness in my fingers Im completely back to normal!

Dr. Patel did a remarkable job on my surgery, finger looks good considering I cut off a 1/4 inch. He discussed every part of the procedure and made sure I knew what was involved. Per Byron, Byron had a table saw accident with two finger damage, losing first joint on the ring finger and partial nail damage on the middle finger.Two bad memories from the whole experience, first look at the damage. Second experience was the needle injection in the emergency room.The multiple visits to Dr. Patel, the Hand Specialist, went very smooth and timely. Happy with the results. I would recommend Dr. Amit Patel. He was extremely thorough and spent the time needed. My friend has neuropathy in both hands and Patel was a second opinion. Although both said he needed surgery, Patel said it wasnt needed at this time and he wouldnt even do it until things were at the point of need. The other doctor wanted to do it immediately and never took x-rays like Patel. Dr. Patel even recommended a hand surgeon that was closer to my friends house so we didnt have to drive two hours away, if and when he may need surgery.

I took my son there for a hairline fracture injury to his hand and was told he needed surgery by Dr Amit Patel ASAP, however Dr Patel initially looked at his calendar and said he was completely full and then all of the sudden he had an opening Shady. Fortunately I went and got a second opinion 2 days later and they put his hand in a hard cast for 3 weeks. Its completely healed and no problems. Im writing this review because Dr Patel attempted to hard sell me on the severity of the injury. To add insult to injury we received our end of the bills from 2 separate practices and Atlanta Hand Specialist was 53% higher. Thats right 53% higher for less service, they actually had to put a hard cast on my sons hand and it was less than the wrap. The out patient charge was an astounding $705.00 vs $215.00. Our insurance covers most of the bill but its a great example of practices trying to inflate pricing.

I was extremely pleased with my carpel tunnel surgery . I had both wrist done 3 weeks apart . I was very hesitant about having surgery but after the first one I was excited for the 2nd one . Pain was gone almost immediately, no throbbing , no tingling or numbness . I wish I had gone to see Dr. Patel sooner . He explained everything so well and and surgery and rehabilitation has gone better than I could have imagined . Great staff and care across the board .

Arrived 15 min prior to appointment time. Filled out all paperwork and still sat an hour in the waiting room until taken back. Staff seemed unfamiliar routine health history and vitals services. And not in any hurry. Doctor put so called medical records emergency In front of me, when it had already been 2 hours in office. After consult with doctor, no answers and a high dose aleve, 3 hours wasted.

Great place to have trigger finger tepaired. Feeling good this morning. Ronald dont like needles but it fixed my problem.

Dr Perez was great, very professional and very skilled. She did a pretty involved surgery on a very bad laceration if my thumb/hand which was a total of 7 procedures in one surgery. Tendon repair, nerve repair, bone debris removal, cartilage repair & removal, & a couple other things that are recorded in doctor terminology (Latin). I will save myself the embarrassment and not try to act like I could successfully translate everything correctly. Hahaha. EVERYONE HAD BEEN GREAT. I RECOMMEND IF YOU LIVE IN THE AREA AND NEED ANY TYPE OF HAND SURGERY OR MEDICAL ATTENTION. THANKS AGAIN.

I arrived 15 min early for my appointment and waited an hour to be seen. That’s 45 min past my appointment time. It would have been nice if they would have notified me that they were behind so I didn’t have to sit and wait. When a patient arrives late their appointment is rescheduled because they failed to arrive on time. When the doctor sees you late nothing happens. There is a flaw in the system.

After an appointment with Dr. Michael Mangonon at the Canton office on August 7th 2017, it is now October 8, 2017 and I am still waiting for my prescription. Have called the Canton office four times. Four times I have been told they will get right back to me. About the only thing that was prompt was their bill. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend in them in any manner whatsoever. and really wish I could have awarded a zero star The worst patient follow up I have ever experienced, literally in decades.

I saw Dr Amit Patel in the Canton location. He looked at the already sutured laceration on my finger and said that we should do xrays to rule out any damage to my bone (there wasn’t any) and said that based on my complaint of numbness I would need a surgery to try to fix the nerve. Found out that their surgical center was considered out of network so I went to see another practice with an in network surgical center. Just received the bill for my visit. He billed my insurance $1410 for the 5 minutes he looked at my finger! I only pay a portion because of my insurance but that is RIDICULOUS! Additional charge for the X-rays. 😡

Dr. Perez was incredibly knowledgeable and diagnosed my daughter’s wrist/arm issue very quickly. She also showed great interest in my daughters Ehlers Danlos Hypermobility Disorder which was very encouraging.

I visited Dr. Kyle Herron for wrist pain and numbness. He is well educated, professional and personable. After thorough testing, I felt very comfortable with his diagnosis and treatment recommendations. He patiently explained my minimally invasive procedure for both Carpal Tunnel and de Quervain’s surgery, making sure I understood everything. The procedure went perfectly and the scarring is almost nonexistent. He is an expert hand surgeon and someone I would highly recommend to those who are in need of hand surgery.
