I have been a patient of Dr. Farjo for many years. He is a gentle, caring man who is a gold standard in patient care. He recently did cataract surgery on left eye and will be entrusted to do my right eye in two weeks. If you are looking for a doctor who is experienced and provides his patients with excellent care, he is highly recommended and will not disappoint.

Dr. Farjo was great. His medical assistant was very friendly. However, his scheduling staff is very rude and difficult. I needed a follow-up appointment for a stye that I have had for more than 6 weeks and was asked if I use a hot compress when I attempted to schedule. I told them that I regularly do the use one last time I tried to schedule and could not get an appointment. (Im confused. Does my condition not warrant a follow-up appointment? ) Also, I have been unable to get an appointment at 3:00 PM or later. I work during the day and was able to get an appointment at 3:10 as a new patient. From that point on I made several attempts to make an appointment at 3:00 PM or later and was told that it is not possible and was offered a 2:40 PM appointment as the latest. I was then informed that appointments at 3:00 PM or later are not at all possible unless I call the day of-then it could be possible. Lastly, I was told that if I had called Wednesday they could have scheduled a later appointment. I was willing to wait and take an appointment in a few weeks if they were booked for 3;00 PM or later in the near future. The receptionist also mentioned that the farther out they schedule, the less availability there is. (What??) I asked if I need to go elsewhere since I cannot get an appointment without taking off of work. (This is not an emergency where I would take off of work.) She said that is up to me. I said that if I cannot get an appointment at 3:00 PM or later, I would need to go elsewhere. I was reminded that I was offered a 2:40 appointment. I reminded her that I cannot get there before 3:00 PM. I told her that I would need to go elsewhere and she said OK. This is such a disappointment and I wish that I would have known before filling out a ton of repetitive new patient forms.

I actually see Dr. Farjo. they are great Drs in this office. and sometimes the wait time is great, plus it takes forever to get an appointment because Dr. Farjo has multiple offices. My only complaint is they charge you a $35. fee for your prescription after the $20 copay, which is not right its extortion. the prescription is part of the office visit fee. what is the use of getting an eye exam if they dont give you your script? if they dont fix this I will find a new Dr. and my entire family goes to this Dr. my wife and I are in over $3000 this year alone not including my parents and rest of family. they stand to lose more then I.
