I took my grandson here for 2 cavities and a couple of loose teeth. He needed to be put under anesthesia and they could get them in the quickest. Instead of giving him something to calm him down, they forcefully fought with him to put the nasal mask on. Then when the dentist came out to tell us how the procedure went, she informed us they had done SIX crowns and 2 extractions! My grandson is 6 years old. I see this as an extreme abuse of power, abusing the system, insurance fraud, etc! There was not any discussion prior to this about the possibility of crowns, the number of them, etc. To top it off, they woke him from the anesthesia without anyone familiar there! Wake a 6yr old to a bunch of strangers…traumatizing to say the least. I would not take my worst enemy’s mangey snake to this office! The office staff was great, the dentist was horrible!!

Great day at Canton Pediatric Dental Center. Dr. A got my wiggly son to sit for a filling and a crown with nitrous. No tears. Great job!

My children came here for many years. I would have rated this place 5 stars years ago, but lately things have declined. The last straw was when my daughter had discomfort occasionally with her one and only cap.. Which ended up needing to be pulled. They couldnt schedule her in for nearly 3 months! What!!? That is crazy. So I called my dentist, Dr. Romito, who got her in the NEXT DAY! They xrayed her tooth and set up an appt to get her tooth extracted 2 weeks later! Now my 8 year old has asked to stay with my dentist. She loved him.Get it together Canton pediatric dental.

This has been the only dental office my children have ever known. They are now 12 and 13. My son had to have 2 adult teeth extracted for the next phase in his journey with braces recently and we set the appointment here. The staff, as always, were AMAZINGLY friendly. Dr. A was so great and so kind. His teeth were out so quickly and he felt nothing! He had no pain at all, even after the numbing wore off ! My daughter had the same procedure done here for her prep for braces 2 years ago and it was the same great experience. When I called them with a question several days before the procedure, I did have to leave a message, but someone called me back within the hour which is way better than most other medical offices I have had to contact in the past. I would recommend this office to anyone.

It’s obvious they are taking on more customers than they can handle at this office ... Every call is routed to voicemail it does not matter when you call you can’t get through even when a message is left. Twice now I’ve left messages and never got a return call ... they say all calls are returned within 24/48 hours that has never happened.My son was seen as an EMERGENCY after I had to call on the weekend to the answering line which happens to be the owner ... I’m actually going to take the owners advice and find another dentist for my children.... She’s clearly more worried about quantity of patients than quality of care 😐

I have been bringing my son here for years, but things definitely need to change. My son had caps put on his teeth an one popped off leaving his nerves exposed, bleeding and in extreme pain. I have tried 35xs to get ahold of this office but yet no one will return the messages I’ve left nor answer. It’s become a concern especially in this situation! I’m definitely calling the better business bureau and seeing if this don’t change the way this dentist office runs. They are dealing with kids not adults kids can’t deal with pain as much as we can do it’s important that this is addressed immediately. Their scheduling is completely messed up and now this! I’m not sure about other people but this has to stop. If they have this many calls then they need to hire more people it’s that simple or hire people who know what they are doing.

This place is horrible with phones their phones are never on and when they are on it runs and goes to voicemail smh get it together

I brought my son in last week for his routine cleaning. The assistants are always so sweet and patient. They helped him feel comfortable enough to do his xrays and cleaning without my help. Dr. As over the top personality made his appointment fun and feel less like a typical doctors visit. The Canton community is so fortunate to have a dentist office thats focus is on our children.

Getting though on the phone is next to impossible. It rolls straight to a recording that says to leave a message and they will call you back. When they called back they hung up after 2 rings and never left a voicemail. I am beyond tired of trying to get someone on the phone to schedule an appointment. They aren’t worth the hassle of dealing with their phone lines.

My 3 year old knocked his front tooth out. I tried calling the office for hours the following day and could never get through. They only let you sit on hold for a couple of minutes before transferring you to a voicemail that says it can take up to 3 days for someone to return your call. I left a voicemail explaining the situation and 3 weeks later still never received a call back. I called Dr Erwin Su’s office the day after I left the voicemail for this place, got right through to a friendly office person who scheduled me same day. If you need a dentist for your child I highly recommend Dr Su!

I just wanted to apologize because I messed up on my end. Im truly sorry, her appointment is tomorrow. I feel so bad. I got her other doctor appointment time mixed up with her dental. I guess thats what happens when you have a busy schedule 🤦‍♀️ See yall tomorrow! And again Im soooo sorry!

Great great great women working here! They are so good with my daughter! Dental assistant Brittany makes sure my daughter feels comfortable every time we come here! She makes sure my daughter knows how every tool works! Just amazing! & I can’t express how great Dr. Darr is! When she took my daughters tooth out she was absolutely comfortable and healed perfect!Thank-you ladies, you’re amazing! I will always bring my kids here!

Had a appointment 5-15-20 for my child to get work done and when we arrived they told me all normal procedures were currently canceled so I drove 45 minutes there and out a days work because they couldnt call and inform patients that they canceled there appointment. I was trying to call in to the location for a week and got the same message we are unable to make your call at this time... need better practices on informing your customers about there appointment my dentist called and rescheduled my appointment before they were even back open the 1st but not this place

Canton Pediatric Dental is simply hands down amazing. The assistants are very kid friendly. The doctors are fast & efficient. I wouldnt trust anyone else with my daughters teeth!!! By working in dental myself, I know the importance of getting your teeth checked every 6 months. I have a 6 year old and a 22 month old. They started coming here when their first teeth popped through. Start them early! Make it routine. Thank you Dr. A for always being AMAZING!

Best dental team ever ! I can honestly say everyone cares about each child that steps through the door and we all do our best to fulfill our motto Improving childrens lives through dentistry! Everyones daily goal is to make each child AND parent have a good FUN dental visit.. every child deserves a good dental home and this is definitely the place to go!

There is a reason it takes 4 months to get a scheduled visits. They are awesome! I usually make my next 6 month visit when I leave so Ive never had a problem. Also, when my son had an emergency they saw him immediately (our old family dentist would make us wait for emergencies). All the dentists are great and specially trained in PEDIATRICS. Very clean and professional.

Dr. Ahn is amazing with all three of my children but especially my difficult child.. we have a routine Everytime we go in there .. the staff is always friendly and polite as well. The only thing I would say that is terrible about this place is the call backs and the answering their phones not to mention before the covid-19 trying to get in was next to impossible...

Great with kids. Not so great relaying infomation. Phone service is horrible. They dropped my child bc he turned 11 but forgot to tell me. They cancelled all appointments bc of covid but never told the parents. I get hung up on constantly bc no one answers their phones. They need better front office help apparently abd could work on better communication with parents. Not oops we dropped your child due to age. Oops were closed but didnt tell you about cancelling your appointment.

Dr. Gretta was AMAZING with both kids! Professional, knowledgeable, confident, and let me watch the whole time! Extremely kind and upbeat staff, very clean and beautiful “ kid friendly” office. I’d recommend this practice and Dr. Gretta to anyone looking for a pediatric dentist!

I absolutely LOVE this place. This is our 1st visit. My son lost his filling, our reg dentist cant get him in till next week. I called here, we were able to come in within 2 hrs. The staff is so friendly and this place is all about kids! When they called my son, I was able to go back! The dentist is super nice an awesome. We will be switching Dentists immediately!

This dentist ruined my sons life, we went in as a consult referred by our dentist to get root canals done on my sons molars, they took x-rays and told me all 4 of his molars were too far gone and they needed pulled. They told me it was only his 6 year old molars and his 12 year old molars would replace them. Never once did they tell me his 6 year old molars are actually his ADULT molars and he will now need extensive orthodontic work done to move his teeth around to replace those adult teeth that were there. They rushed everything and I believe because I have Molina health insurance I was just looked at as low income and a waste of time. I’m furious and I will be taking this to a lawyer.

My daughter had gone in for a exam and found out she needed some work done. So instead of having her come back a few different times and put fear in her we just did surgery. She had surgery last Monday and they did great(her and the dentist).4 teeth pulled 4 capped and a few fillings done. I dont want my children having the fear I have of going to the dentist. This place is amazing. Thank you guys..

Everything from start to finish was perfect. The dentist and the assistants were all extremely wonderful with my girls during their visit. I would recommend this office to everyone.

Honestly never had a good experience here. This place is like the Walmart of dentist... Always some new charge and impossible to get a hold of. Also they didnt notify me that they stopped supporting Cigna until I was in for my sons appointment and this is after I pressed on an issue of them charging me for services I wasnt aware of. The women who work the front counter are beyond rude. This place just feels like they are after one thing money!

They are nice people. The dentist is very gentle with your child. And you are able to go back with your child for his or her appointment. I had a very lousy dentist in the Belden Village area that never returned your call when you called about a dental emergency. I had to wait until Monday. I called these nice sweet people and they got her in right away. My daughter will be with this dentist until she ages out.

My 4 year old fell and knocked a tooth loose. We gave it a few days and the pain went away and tooth seemed to be okay. We took him here for his first ever dentist appointment a few weeks after that. Dentist was with us for approximately 4 minutes. She said the only option was removing his previously injured tooth (one of his front two). When I asked if there were other options Dr. Hong shrugged her shoulders and said “I guess you could wait it might be fine”. It absolutely seemed as soon as she realized she wasn’t making a sale that instant she moved on to the next patient. We went to Dr. Erwin Su for a second opinion the next day and guess what?! Not only does the tooth not need to be pulled, he described extraction as the last possible option! Save yourself and your child the trauma and just go straight to Dr. Erwin Su. He and his staff are 1000% more professional and actually ANSWER questions the parents have.

I had called today to get my child in because he is complaining of pain, I spoke to someone lovely at first (she sounded young) and then the phone got disconnected while I was driving so I called back! I called 3+ times (why) then spoke to someone named Michele who was not pleasant at all. I understand if the office is busy I’m a patient person, but to be talked to like that with such attitude is unnecessary and unacceptable as a CUSTOMER. We love Dr. Ahn, but I will go to a more friendly office from now on.

ORIGINAL POST: Thankful and grateful for this place beyond words! Our personal experience has been with Dr. Hong - she is incredible! We are so impressed with all the hygienists/dental assistants. It’s really hard to get an appointment but do not give up! This place is worth the wait and drive!UPDATE: I booked my daughters appointment over 10 months ago specifically so she would have Dr. Hong, who has been her pediatric dentist for 3 years. Show up today for our 11:30 appointment and wait almost an hour to be seen. Never once was I informed via phone call or email or in person today that we would NOT be seeing Dr. Hong and that we would be seeing their newest dentist. I asked to speak to the office manager, who I could see hiding in her office. The “new” and unpleasant receptionist didn’t give me a reason as to why the office manager wouldn’t speak to me and ignored me to help another parent. (said parent was just as angry about the office manager ignoring her 2 weeks prior and shared in my disbelief and disgust) All the negative reviews you are reading are 100% accurate. You can’t talk to a human to book an appointment, you will wait days for them to return your call, if they ever do, you will wait months for your child to be seen and they will not be forthcoming with the truth about your appointment if the doctor/time has been changed. My poor child with high anxiety had to wait an hour to be seen and then to be surprised by having an unfamiliar dentist- UNACCEPTABLE!

I have called in to schedule a appointmentFor my son at least 10 times now and they keep sending my call to a answering service. It’s crazy how many times you can call and don’t get a restiveness call. We will be taking our business somewhere else

Most amazing dental staff ever! Super friendly and have treated my daughter like one of their own for years.

I took my daughter to this office because she was complaining of tooth pain. They took x-rays and told me there was nothing wrong with the tooth. It was recommended I give her Tylenol for two weeks and if she was still complaining I was to bring her back and they would pull the tooth. I was also told she needed three other teeth pulled (two of which are molars that wouldnt come back in until she is around 12. My daughter is only 7). I was horrified at the thought of pulling four of her teeth so I got a second opinion with my family dentist. He discovered six cavities (one being the tooth she was complaining about). A week later my daughters cavities have been filled and she still has all of her teeth. Do yourself and your children a favor and avoid this office! They rush your appointment and give poor dental care.

These guys wants to remove several of my 6 year olds adult teeth. went to another dentist who simply filled two of them and sealed the other two.

Took my girls to this office for the first time this week and was so impressed! It was my 4 year olds first visit and shes been terrified of any kind of dr office ever since her vaccinations last year. They were so patient and kind and their tone was amazing! They talked to my girls and explained to them what they were doing. They let my youngest put the polisher on her teeth before sitting in the chair to show it didnt hurt and when the dentist came in she cried when she held the cookie finder and the dentist asked if it was making her upset and it was so she put it down then tried again in another minute by letting my daughter pick which tooth to count first!! I was almost in tears because they treated my children with extreme care and went out of their way to make them feel comfortable!! My youngest even said she couldnt wait to go back!! Thank you so much!!

I cant Stress enough how amazing this center is! They are so comapssionate and caring of children, their fears, and concerns! Making them and parents feel comfortable in every way! It was my sons first dental appointment today. He is typically very shy and stubborn but the staff was able to get him to laugh and cooperate every step of the way! They sure know what they’re doing!!

If I could leave a negative star review, I would. My son who is two and a half has cavities. It was decided that oral surgery would be needed. So far so good (although there was no x-ray to help confirm the extend of the cavities).I was told surgery was scheduled for April 4, after our visit on Feb 26. I had some additional questions, so I called in early March and was told that he wasn’t actually scheduled on April 4 (?!), and that next available day would be April 18. I asked my questions, some of which the receptionist couldn’t answer. No problem with that, but I was told the specialist would call me back within a week (she wasn’t scheduled to be there every day). No call. At all. I had written off the office and set an appointment elsewhere, when I got text messages about a scheduled visit... on April 18. Seriously?! I called and was confirmed that he was scheduled for surgery on the 18th. I had been told before that prior to the surgery an anesthesiologist would call to confirm details (since, you know, he’s two and a half... so it’s kind of a big deal), plus my unanswered questions (I had wanted to know if there’s a possibility of fillings instead of crowns, to confirm that there would be an x-ray done and all the cavities would be fixed so he doesn’t have to go through this again soon, and a couple other similar questions).We cancelled the surgery appointment. I’m not comfortable at all with the lack of communication and the way this has been handled. Like I said... my son is young. This was his first visit to a dentist. The visit itself was okay (although nobody spent any time in trying to get him comfortable around dentists and dental work), but the scheduling and communication afterward? Not at all.

We took our oldest son for his first visit. He was scared, but the office did such a great job with him and he walked out smiling. Would recommend them to anyone in a heart beat and we will be bringing all of our kids here for future visits!

Having 4 children Ive always had a pleasant visit. That can be challenging in itself. I strongly appreciate the friendliness and professionalism shown here. 👍

We have had wonderful care up until today. My son had cavities in his 2 front teeth and I was told they could put him under to repair the teeth. When we came in today to have this done, we went over his treatment plan yet again assuring me this was to REPAIR his teeth but then Dr Hong took it upon herself to remove both teeth without my consent! He is only 4 years old! I was never consulted about this decision and when I expressed my concern I was told it was because his teeth were bad all the way to the root. We were given his teeth back and they were not rotten & infact had huge roots still in tact! Along with all of this, they also returned my son to me covered in his own urine! Seeing as he has been potty trained for 2 years I am assuming this had something to do with the anesthesia but no one attempted to clean him up or even inform me he was soaking wet until I said he’s soaked and I was told oh that happens some times. Shouldn’t I have been told to bring a change of cloths or shouldn’t they be better prepared for something like this?! His nurse & anesthesiologist were both very wonderful and I have nothing negative to say about them but Dr Hong should be held accountable for preforming a procedure without my consent!

They make my kids feel comfortable. My son is autistic and they handle him beautifully! I recommend them to everyone!!

The worst place I have ever been! My son needed his teeth fixed and they told me the next appointment would be in 6 months so his teeth are just supposed to get worse and they told me to call every day and see if an appointment had come available, they would not call you! and finally 3 months later after calling every day they told me to come in to get his teeth fixed, I got there and they said they were just going to look at him and they told me they would fix them on the phone! Then after I told them what they told me on the phone they said they would fix one tooth, my son was scared so he was moving a little and they said if he cant sit still they wont do it, and they gave up after about 3 minutes and told me to let it go for 6 months to a year and they would try again unless it got too bad and then they would just rip the teeth out! like wow! you couldnt just talk to him and try to calm him down! I was so angry when I left there! my child is in pain and they just said just let it go! I dont see how this place is still in practice.

My son unfortunately needed his front teeth extracteded from past trauma to them and one developed an abscess. Dr. Darr took us on as a new patient same day I called and treated him at the same visit. I was feeling the mom guilt and she really was so kind to me as well. She is an expert in her field and is very caring, funny and professional making both parent and child comfortable! It was an outstanding experience for my son and he is excited to go back. We are so thankful to have found this dental group! The front office staff was also great, welcoming and professional. The actual office was updated, clean and the hygienist/assistants are very kind and courteous.

My grandchildren go there they are very nice and friendly my grandchildren love the people

My daughter loves the staff and dentists at Canton Pediatric Dental Center. I took her to another pediatric dentist in the Belden Village area and had a horrible experiance. She had to have a filling and the dentist filled it without fail. But my daughter had an allergic reaction to the material the dentist used. I called and the voice mail said the staff will not be returning until Wednesday please leave a message. I did leave a message but no return call. I took her to the ER they gave her some medicine to releave the hives all over her little body. The dentist never did call me back so i called the dentist to make the follow up visit from the ER and they were unable to get her in for 2 weeks. The dentist wasnt booked its that she was going to her home country for a vacation. So, I started looking in the phone book. I came across Canton Pediatric Dentists. The are great with her, the staff is wonderful, the dentists know what they are doing and very compassionate. If you call them for a dental emergency they will squeeze you in either the same day or the next day. They call you back and you NEVER have to chase down their staff to ask a question or make an appointment. The downfall is that for a normal cleaning you have to wait awhile to get in as a new patient but after you are established the make an appointment for the next 6 months. I reccommend this dentist to anyone that needs a pediatric dentist. I wish they accepted adults!!

Best place ever for Childrens dentistry

I’ve been debating on even writing one of these because honestly who reads them . Won’t EVER be returning to this office , it was a TERRIBLE experience as a new patient . I was in the waiting room for over an hour and a half with a BABY !!! The waiting room is dirty , the carpet is GROSS . There are stains all over the carpet I didn’t even want my child touching anything , like CLEAN YOUR OFFICE . Then I was taken back by a girl at the front desk who couldn’t even answer how long I would be there . First off , I clearly read about the practice prior to making an appointment, I asked for a specific doctor , when I got there they told me the doctor is never there on that day . So the front staff is clueless . I saw the owner just walking back and forth in the hallway while I’m standing there waiting for someone to come in the room and see me . I was talking to the mom in the room beside me who also had said they’ve been there over an hour and a half and still no doctor . Don’t make the same mistake I did , go somewhere else .

Place is a joke daughter was scheduled at 2:30 today got a call yesterday had a cancellation at noon said to show up early sitting in the waiting room at 11:15 1130 still havent been seen gentleman in front of us has been there for 4 hours still hasnt seen if your schedule somebody at a certain time keep the appointment people make their schedule around yours youre costing me money !!THIS PLACE IS A JOKE
