I had a terrible experience here I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The psychiatrist I saw was not very friendly &made me feel really uncomfortable. I was persistent about not wanting to take antidepressants because of past experiences with them but she kept insisting thats what I needed to do, regardless of how I felt. When I left my last appointment I did not make a follow up appointment like she said to because I did not plan on ever coming back. I get a call about a month later saying that I missed my appointment? I never made a follow up appointment?? I still get letters to this day about how i missed my appointment. I never scheduled one. Very frustrating.

I was suppose to have a phone chat with one of the people there earlier this month and they never bothered to call me or tell me why it didnt happen

My son and I both reiceve services here. My son sees the Dr Haymaker. She is beyond phenomenal with my son. Always extends a hand..checks on him when change in meds. Shes very informative on side effects & what the meds are for.She has always given constructive criticism to my son. I would highly HIGHLY recommend her for any juvenile.Now I only gave 4 stars due to my experience here.I see a NP that works under a psychiatrist. Thats what im told.Ive had quite a few issues with her. Belittled me made me feel like I was worthless. No NP should make anyone feel this way!!! Honestly she has a very dry personality & not friendly.I also see a counselor .. When I do see her when my appointments arent cancelled she is very helpful. Probably one of the best counselors ive had. Only situation im not keen on is she doesnt remember much from last visit. Which I totally understand cant remember everyone and has a lot of clients but thats what notes are for. Refresh your memory so it doesnt hurt my feelings. As if she wasnt listening

Dr. Stephen A. Miller was absolutely unprofessional and rude. He interrupted me during my introduction phone visit and refused to help me during a stressful time. Went on to fib about medications that I was educated that should not be cut off cold turkey. What really disappointed me was that I was polite and did not get angry with him, yet I was firm to seek help and he went on to hang up on me. Do not see this Doctor if you are seeking treatment. Tried calling to complain about the copay considering he refused to treat a patient and they have not answered my voicemails or calls. Poorly ran facility.

Ive been with my oldest daughter for help when was around with me and now I am coming here with my oldest son. As my oldest son is coming here to seek help with his behavior some, the doctor can not even be on time for the appointment scheduled and yet says she wants feed back from both of us parents. But only takes one parent back. My thing is how do you say you want feedback from both parents and only take one as both parents are here, how can you schedule a appointment and not even be on time for it and etc. I am curious if anyone else has dealt with anything similar. I am about to have this doctor replaced with one that wants to actually hear from both parents instead of one parent and who will actually listen to the concerns of a parent. This is ridiculous with how doctors are today.

The worst of the worst when it comes to helping people. Clueless staff; I now have 2 charges in collections from their mishaps. They never turned my paperwork into the court system and also wont pay for the Jackson Twp ambulance THEY CALLED. The CEO there is a heartless paper pusher. The head of their medical department is a quack and she prescribes anything she wants, without regards to the patients feelings or reactions to medications.If you want your problems to get worse, go here.

Amazing facility. Top of the line counselors and doctors. The most organized office Ive ever seen. Great place for both kids and adults. Every one deserves great mental health care and this place goes beyond that. No matter if you want to talk or want to express yourself through music, they have something for you and everything in between.

After months of waiting for a med appointment, I was incredibly disappointed with the treatment I received. It took the doctor all but 30 seconds to decide she didnt care what I had to say. I was very adamant about not wanting to take an antidepressant, because of my previous experiences with them and the fact that they cause me to have suicidal thoughts. Not only was the doctor rude, and condescending, but she treated me as if I was a drug seeking criminal. She acted as if I have no reason to have anxiety in the first place, and disregarded my wishes to not be prescribed an antidepressant. She was stand-offish from the moment we started speaking, acted as if I was an addict, and didnt even ask what my physical symptoms were. Then when I told her I was apprehensive about taking the Prozac she kept trying to push on me, she told me the medication wouldnt work for another 4-6 weeks, and if I had suicidal thoughts, to call her. Now I understand why people dont seek help. For being a treatment center, you are doing a horrible job. Ive never felt as hopeless as I did leaving this place. I will be telling my therapist that I will not be back.

Horrible, horrible practice and doctors. Myself, my husband, and 2 of my children came here at one point or another. One of their psychiatrists treated both myself and my husband. She treated me with a large cocktail of medications for illnesses I later found out I never had, and learned to deal with what I did naturally and with a GOOD therapist, while she was treating me with 700 medications and switching them almost monthly I gained over 80 lbs which I lost, thank goodness. But, she never noticed my massive weight gain because she could never remember me, spent half my appointment reading through my chart. If I had a problem, she prescribed another medication. My husband got yelled at for seeking a second, better opinion and was treated so poorly I cant believe this doctor even has a license. Both of my children who came here never received any real help. This place is a joke...dont waste your precious time. Find a good therapist, not in a practice with a doctor who will prescribe medicine...they will tell you HONESTLY if you need to see a psychiatrist. And never be afraid to seek out a new one if it doesnt feel right with your current practitioner. And do not go to this place. Ever.

I am being very generous here. If I could give this place and a certain counselor a negative rating, I would. I am a father who was asked by his daughter to come save her from an abusive relationship with her now former boyfriend. Yesterday, my wife took my daughter to this place for counseling. When it ended, a counselor favored my daughter to going back to this abusive person. He emotionally and psychologically abused my daughter. The therapist stated I see you still love him. Its your decision. I support you. The therapist supports my daughter going back to the same abusive relationship. I believe it will only get worse. It will. Should anything happen (or worse) befall my daughter....I will personally hold this agency, its supervision/supervisor/administrators as well as my daughters therapist personally responsible.....followed by a lawsuit coupled with much publicity!

I love my Nurse practitioner! The photo is of the quiet room that i sit in and wait quietly for my name to be called. In the old office they didnt have a quiet room. The receptionists from the old office are the best because i fell like they care for my health and where real friendly.

So I started going here about a month or two ago. My first visit I was left in the waiting room for literally 2 hours. When someone finally came to get me they said they were sorry and they forgot about me. I thought to myself ok I really need help so I will let it go for now. They set me up with a counselor who performs EMDR therapy which is therapy to help you not relive a traumatic experience which was what I was going through. While I liked my counselor I had been going to him for about a month and we still didn’t really start the therapy and then he got a new job and left. So he set me up to see his boss who had taught him and was supposed to be very good. He said I will get you to the place where she can actually start your therapy with you on your first visit with her and get down to the thick of things. So I was really happy we were finally going to start. I showed up ready to go she called me in and I basically had to tell my story all over again and start from the beginning. She was unprepared, really didn’t know why I was there, ended about 20 minutes early and kept looking to me to make conversation. It was uncomfortable and awkward at best. Then she blamed it on the previous counselor for not giving her his notes. When I said I wasn’t going to come back I got a letter in the mail with in days saying they closed my case. Seems like the best thing and the most accurate thing they do is close your case. They were on it! Lol Needless to say I would not go there.

This place is aweful, very unpleasant experience here i wouldnt recommend it to anyone.

Staff ok but experienced several billing department mistakes. It was very frustrating. After months of dealing with it I finally was able to speak with chief of finance who listened and is working to correct situation. She was very helpful and kind. I will not be returning for services but am thankful to finally have it resolved.

My son sees Joann and she is the best. She has done so much for him. I wish we would of had her sooner.

I love my counseler and she is amazing but the nurse practitioner hoopengarder is horriable. She invalidates anything i or my mom says and always cuts us off. She is disrespectful and lies about her title. When i go back she always asks why i bring my mom back and always cuts us off neither of us getting to talk. She is one of the only one lisensed for minors. Everyone else that works there is amazing.

I love this place and my Doctor i wouldnt switch unless my Dr left been seeing him since 06 and he listens well and gives me great advice not to mention they have a pharmacy right inside

This place used up be great but I recently saw two different doctors that had no understanding of medication and lacked compassion. If you need help and rely heavily on your doctor to help you, do not go here because you will feel 100x worse going here than you did prior to visiting Phoenix rising. Worst place I’ve ever been.

Every Staff member you meet makes sure that you are taken care of, treat you like you matter and are very kind and friendly. The best Staff members there are Joanne Vaccani and her nurse Lizz I absolutely love them and they always take the best of care of me and Joanne, she saved my life ( Literally )....

I attended anger management here, and I was uneasy at first but my counselor has made me feel comfortable and my nurse is also a very kind women. Great place to if you maybe just wanna try out the whole counseling thing

This place doesnt deserve any stars. My first visit was when they were located on Garfield sw. They put me in a room where I sat for over an.hour. They forgot about me.Attempted to try again now they are on market and my initial appt allowed the gay receptionist to make fun of me and discussing my situation loudly with the 3 ppl standing behind me and the entire lobby. I had my sun glasses on during the visit because of sever migraines and he wants to joke about famous ppl and how Im from hollywood. He made these jokes with the intake person who I was scheduled to see.I refused to go back and they called asking me what happened. I explained. Nothing ever came from it.My husband is looking for a caseworker so he decided to try phoenix. Left a message 2 weeks ago and still no call back.Called today and wasnt a pleasant message left this time. I will follow thru with my promise to report this agency because unlike them, I actually am reliable and give a damn about mental health, not a status symbol for.more government funding they dont deserve.Funny thing....after leaving a message 10 minutes ago regarding reporting them they immediately called back.If u want help be prepared to fight for it.

Not very helpful at all. Difficult to get in to see while they are adjusting husbands medications. Trouble getting them to call back and develop a comprehensive treatment plan.

They will refuse to work with you.Example they put me on new medication I passed out totaled my car can they wouldnt put me on something new said they wouldnt there was nothing wrong with what I was on. I’m not gone bash the place maybe I was paired with a counselor that didn’t work for me but I am hesitant about any service they provide they didn’t diagnose my kid but it’s a nice building!

My girlfriend has been trying to seek local treatment here and finally she got an appointment yesterday. She showed up early to like the said to fill out the paper work then when she got up to the desk the lady told her there was no one here to see her. Now today they left a message saying she missed her appointment yesterday and are making it out to be her fault.

They have done a bit to clean up the place & the counselors are decent - but the reception staff is rude and treat the patrons with little or no respect. They are situated behind a large glass window with a small metal slot at the bottom - which gives the place that dangerous feeling - like if they are worried about being hurt, shouldnt I be? More than one occasion the clerk behind that glass has gotten nasty with me and slammed her little metal window. If you have the option to go somewhere else - you should

I got dismissed from here and have to find a new place. Lynn, the nurse practioner wasnt very understanding and slammed the door the one time.

Great place for your meds if you crazy lol

They can never line up their schedules and refills right. My husband works on Wednesdays (when they have prescription refill meetings) and has struggled to get his prescription refilled every few months. You can call none stop but no one will call you back for days. The people that work their tell you not to suddenly stop taking antidepressants(because it amplifies your depression or anxiety really bad) but they have no problem forcing their patients to do so while they take their time refilling prescriptions. My husband suffers so much and can hardly handle his mood swings while they do this. This has had a crazy effect on our family and no one I have spoken to cares. Its always someone different we need to talk to and usually all we can do is leave voicemails for days on end. They made him go three weeks with out his meds once. I am concerned for all the people who probably have killed themselves waiting for thier prescriptions. ***Update: He ended up going to one of the refill meetings. The lady that ran the class just embarrassed everyone and critisized each persons idividual reasoning for not getting a refill sooner, did this to each person in front of the group. Openly critisized people for being addicted to pills.

Now, although I have rescheduled, they will not give me any medication to cover the two weeks until that appointment. If I live to make that appointment, I will never go back. Horrible, disgusting, inhumane policy.
