Best pediatric eye doctor near Canby! Weve been bringing our kids here since we moved to Canby in January of 2020. The eye doctors here have been great with talking to our kids and teaching them about their eyes. Our kids always have questions when we come and the optometrists are more than patient with them. Pulling out the models and showing them the different parts of the eye, etc. It doesnt just stop there though, even the opticians are knowledgeable and patient with our kids since all three of them have glasses. They have always had a good selection for them to choose from and even ordered a pair in another color for our youngest since they didnt have them available in the office. We highly recommend Canby Eyecare as your family Eye Doctor!

This was my first visit to this eye clinic. Upon calling the receptionist was able to get me scheduled for a same day appointment, which was great because it was an emergency! When I arrived they remembered that I stated my eye was super sensitive to light and gave me some shaded glasses while I waited to be seen. Everyone was very personable and let me know information that really helped make sense of what was happening with my eye issue. I cannot say enough about how quickly everyone worked to get me relief as soon as possible, everyone was great from the time I arrived until I was finished with my visit. 10 out of 10 and would definitely come in for other eye health needs!

I was very impressed with the urgency they had to get me in. I also was so pleased to be greeted by two professional, kind front office associates. They were very knowledgable and helpful. The Dr. was so detailed in her exam and really took time to identify problems. She explained next steps and it was a breath of fresh air to have a new eye doctor that was so amazing. I definitely would recommend the clinic to everyone wanting a kind, professional experience. Also, they have a great cash price for non insured eye patients.

I have been an extremely happy client of Canby Eye Care for over 10 years. Dr. Mcferron is a talented professional who actually takes the time to explain issues with her patients for great outcomes. When i experienced a hole in my retina she arranged special care to so i could recover eyesight in that eye. Great doctor!!

Although a little overpriced, the past couple of times I have received great service and help with picking out frames from both opticians. Also, I really like Dr. Ashley. I am rating it with only 4 stars because they dont have any rimless options for frames and they are expensive, otherwise they have a good selection.

I paid far too much money for this pair of glasses. I am a disabled, senior citizen and feel that I was taken advantage of. I took my own prescription in. I did not need an exam and did not have one. They kept sending me messages for me to set an appt to see their doctor. I have a good doctor. Their prices are far too high.

I would give this company a big zero. They gave me the wrong eye prescription. Then I had a migraine for 2 weeks straight. They told me that it looks like they doctor accidentally added the wrong prescription to my eyes. Then asked me if I ever had made a mistake then laughed about it. I clearly remember talking to the doctor about my prescription and she was clear on what prescription she was going to order. So when I told them I dont trust them with my eyes again and that I want a full refund. All she could say was that I was not welcome back to their building again because she said I was being rude. Well hello it was me who had a headache for 2 weeks!!! Yes I was not happy about this mistake but clearly remember saying sorry but i really was sick for 2 weeks.Thank you I will not in any rightful mind ever go back there ever again!!!!!

The staff here is always so friendly and very helpful. The office was very clean and they kept everything well sanitized. The selection of glasses was very good too. This is our family’s favorite place to go for eye exams and glasses.

Were new here and needed to find a new eye doctor. They were great with my son and great at explaining everything he was curious about when looking at his eyes. Were pleased with our choice.

I went in with my prescription to get a pair of glasses. The front desk was nice enough and they had a decent selection. However, once I picked out the pair I wanted, the person who I was turned to became a very hard sales person. The sales tactics were tacky - not so much as giving options as it was insulting if you didnt pick the higher option. Im disappointed in the way they approach their sales and would not buy from them.

I am greeted when I open the door to enter, the wait time for service is swift, the testing is done with my comfort the total consideration and Dr. Mcferron is great at her job, and I am told good bye when I leave, very nice people and I always feel better after I leave. I would and have recommended her to people that ask me about needing her services.

Canby Eyecare has always been a great clinic! The other day I injured my eye and they were able to see me within an hour of calling and make things more comfortable. Friendly, helpful, and caring staff.

My husband and I are very disappointed with our experiences at Canby Eyecare and our family wont be going back. My visit with the doctor went fine, but they were busy and it took a while for my turn to pick out frames. I was contacted later and told that the lab broke the frames and they couldnt get the one I had picked out after all. Because I had already paid cash for them, I went back and picked out a different set even though I didnt really like any others as much. Weeks went by and still no frames. I got a voicemail that the frames I picked out were on back order and would take much longer. She said she could give me a different color until mine were available. I went back several weeks later for the frames and wear them even though I dont like them. Such a hassle and I dont like the glasses I wear everyday. My husband also had a bad experience because of the bill he received for his exam. He was told to come back in a month for them to check a freckle at the back of his eye. They didnt tell him it wouldnt be covered by our insurance and would cost hundreds of dollars on top of what it cost out of pocket for the first visit. He thinks he should have been informed of this beforehand. He has has a comprehensive exam before and it didnt cost $300 out of pocket. The one thing I really liked about this place is that they dont have to numb or dilate my eyes (although it costs extra).

The assistant helping my son and I get ready to see the ophthalmologist was getting very frustrated. My son is 6 years wanted to touch everything. I would not recommend bringing young children here

As one who has never worn glasses or contacts I was a little apprehensive about going to the eye doctor. My wife and 4 kids have all attended the Canby Eyecare for many years and only had great things to say about the Doctors and the staff. My experience was no different. Doctor McFerron was attentive and explained the many options that were available to me. I ordered a pair of glasses and they arrived in less than a week. I will order a pair of Maui Jim prescription glasses in 2 weeks at their frame event and I look forward to that too.

Charged us for services not rendered and would not fix the problem. Insurance couldnt do anything about it because apparently office can label some things different to show an accurate and legitimate charge. NEVER going back!

Canby Eyecare always takes care of me. I see them once a year for an exam for new lenses and, every other year, I see them for new frames. They are always patient and thourough and quick. They even got me in same day when my eye was having a problem back in December and were very helpful in treating it. I love the Women of Canby Eyecare.

I started going to Canby Eyecare several years ago because they advertised their skill at dealing with memory care patients. At the time my 90-year-old mother was deep into Alzheimers and unable to understand simple commands, let alone report on her own experience. I was struck by the positive and energetic staff from the moment we entered, and watched in amazement as Dr. McFerron’s magical methods to communicate with and figure out a prescription for my confused Mom. I knew from that visit I would be a loyal patient. As the clinic added staff I was a bit hesitant to be seen by a new doctor, but found Dr. Malensky to be outstanding as well. I was sad when optician Grace left to be a Mom, but fell in love with Cinthya. I’m not sure how they maintain such a happy, helpful environment even through turnover, but my initial impression is reinforced with every visit. I suppose the true test of a business, though, is what happens to patient experience with something goes wrong. I selected new glasses last April and had trouble adjusting to them. The nose piece not only hurt my nose (even though adjusted four times), but kept the glasses so far from my face I had trouble seeing through the bifocal. I finally gave up and confessed I hated my new glasses. Without blinking an eye Cinthya did some research, helped me pick out new frames and worked behind the scenes to secure me a new pair of glasses in an unbelievable deal. I am forever grateful. I highly recommend this outstanding organization.
