The bottom line is to pay attention to your intuition. If something feels awry with your therapist/counselor, leave. Dont let them bully or manipulate you. Therapists/counselors are human beings. Just like every profession, there are good ones, mediocre ones and horrible ones. Stay away from the horrible ones. Its challenging with therapy because youve opened up and shared your most vulnerable parts of yourself. You want to believe the person youre sharing it with has your best interest at heart. Often times they do. Sometimes they dont. Please use this information as a way of saying no and teasing out the bad ones. Like love, if youve been burned, dont give up. Good therapy can be the most healing elixir around-and can improve your overall health, relationships, career, lifespan and quality of life.All I have to say is for me that was not the case.Proceed With Caution: When it comes to seeking a new psychologist, haste makes waste.
