My precious Nana spent several weeks in the hospital before coming home on hospice. Our goal as a family was to never leave Nana alone in the hospital (as she was also dealing with some dementia). It became clear to us after a couple weeks of splitting the time there amongst 2 of us that we were going to need help. We were exhausted & just couldnt continue doing it on our own. We were so thankful when someone told us about care at home. These ladies were so attentive, very kind & respectful to Nana. Such a blessing to us to know when we were leaving for the evening that she would be cared for in the same manner we would do. When the time cameTo bring Nana home on hospice, Care at Home came with us. They continued to be our right hand until the end. These folks are the best of the best. . The kindness & love they showed to our Nana ( and to us) will not be forgotten.

After the loss of my dad in 2020, my very healthy mom experienced some severe changes both with health and memory. When visiting a drs office while she was in a rehab facility for a broken hip, the nurses & I noticed how sad and changed she was. They put me In touch with GCAH-Lauren and Lauren helped me bring mom home. We now have caregivers 24/7. Because of them, I feel like I have my mom back - physically and mentally. I can sleep again without worry. I can be away and I know the wonderful women who are with her truly care for and love her. They are the ones who encourage her to exercise, get out, garden again and they laugh with her. This has been a gift from God. 4 months ago I was feeling hopeless and now, mom and I are both happy. We brought my mom home early from rehab after a massive stroke because we were concerned about the care she was receiving. Care at Home helped us every step of the way. She received incomparable care by some of the kindest people. She was treated with dignity and respect in her own home until she passed away. They worked closely alongside hospice to make sure she was always comfortable and even stayed with the family until her last breath. I still have contact with two of her caregivers two years later. Care at Home has been a life saver for me. The caregivers I have make it possible for me to live at home. My husband passed in 2013, I lived alone for 2 years.
