I have never taken the time to write a Google review but the Silverado Calabasas team deserves the utmost recognition! My dad transitioned from home to Silverado a month ago and the staff has been incredibly professional, caring, thoughtful and eager to please. It means the world to us that our dad is in a memory care community where the residents are treated with dignity and respect, compassion, and freedom to make choices based on their capabilities. We greatly appreciate Silverados amazing staff, the wonderful environment, the medical/nursing care, the activities, the individualized attention, communication updates to our family, and their openness to our suggestions and our dads ideas, too. If you have a loved one who could benefit from a memory care community, I highly recommend Silverado Calabasas!

Always always short staffed on caregivers and I can see why. The caregivers job is very hard. They have to shower residents, change briefs, lift and transfer residents. And the starting pay for caregivers is sadly only $14.50. Meanwhile the med techs make a starting pay of $22 for a much easier job. All they do is pass out meds. Often times only one nurse in the whole building. Too much stress for the nurse and also not safe. Things were better in the past.

My husband has Lewy Body Dementia and placing him at Silverado Calabasas was the best decision I made. They are very knowledgeable and caring. My husband adjusted quickly to his life there and is always smiling

Silverado Calabasas and its wonderful staff came into our lives at a very critical time of my husband’s dementia. He has a very rare combination of two different types of dementias and they were so warm, caring and professional with our transition into the facility. They were there when I needed it the most and I cannot say enough about every staff member there.

Truly an amazing place. Eveyone Ive come across is so kind. I always have a sense of relief. I definitley recommend this facility..

Most loving and caring treatment my husband could have received. The staff were all compassionate and attentive to his needs and displayed a remarkable ability to see past his very difficult behavior and see the man he really was. They could not have been more helpful and supportive through the most difficult time in our lives. I would give Silverado Calabasas 10 stars if I could.

I visit this place often because I have a loved one who volunteers in this community and I am always amazed at how kind and compassionate the team is here. The staff is ready to assist anyone, from the front staff to the different team members. The managers are helpful and the staff do their best given that they care for people with different levels of dementia. I see that at times, there are families that are unhappy but the staff remain calm and speak to them with respect. The place is always clean, residents are smiling, and the pets help make the place look like home. This is a gem of a place and for me, the people who work there are heroes! Thank you, Silverado!

Quite unclean and unsanitary. . Several issues with scabies outbreaks the past couple years. Scabies is highly contagious and takes rigor to contain. My aunt had many rashes including ringworm while residing there. This past September, she saw a nurse outside the facility, who diagnosed her rash as scabies. She has since left Silverado and her items were sanitized. Her skin is getting better.

Place looks clean & gorgeous! But the staff, where do I start. When i came in, 2 staff personal were standin next to the door...NOT a hello or good afternoon just came in and thats it (seriois face) the Receptionist, Marisol makes it very awkward (no expression on her face not even a smile) I mention, this is a nice place, beautiful place...you will think she might say thank you BUT! NOTHING! Its like I was talking to myself...tsk tsk tsk. On my way to the dining room, med tech just looked and didnt ask if we needed help. Ones we came in, this small philipina woman (with a loud voice) are you eating here to? NOT even a hi...I told her no, Im just here to take a picture of him and his mom. And her response (with a yelling voice) of who other residents NO!... I repeted myself again...No maam just of him and his mom... so I place both my resident and his mother together, was taking a picture AND this small Philippines lady AGAIN! (with a screaming voice) NO! just them 2 not the residents... I JUST DIDNT FEEL COMFORTABLE AT ALL AFTER THAT. And as I was leaving, the receptionist didnt even say have a nice day or good bye. I WILL NO LONGER STEP A FOOT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN. RUDE & NOT INVITED AT ALL 👎👎
