Being completely honest, this treatment center legitimately changed my life for the better. I was in hospitals for about 5 months consecutively before going there, and I stayed at Evolve Calabasas for about 60 days, almost 7 months of treatment total. Evolve Calabasas is located in a beautiful house with an epic view. The house was incredibly clean and felt like a real home. Ive been to some pretty gross rundown hospitals and residentials before Evolve, so compared to those places, Evolve Calabasas is paradise. The schedule is pretty packed with school, group therapy, and experiential therapy. They have billions of groups, such as DBT, CBT, relapse prevention, anger management, healthy relationships, communication skills, SMART recovery, life skills, self esteem, cooking lab, and tons more. They have really fun experiential therapy, such as art, music, and drama. They usually have surf and equine therapy, but I went during covid so those were temporarily postponed. They had tons of fitness, yoga, hiking, and an awesome gym. Personally I loved the gym, and left a lot stronger both physically and mentally. Staff member Lice helped get me to be able to benchpress 135lbs, whereas before treatment I could only do about 85lbs, so that was cool, he got me tokyolked. The weekends were relaxed, sometimes we would go on outings, and those were so fun. Some issues I had were that there were only 3 computers for school, but 6 clients typically stay. We only got 2 hours a day Mon-Fri for school, so you would basically only have an hour for school if your schoolwork was completely virtual. The wifi kinda sucked and the computers were mega slow, so I barely got any schoolwork done. Some of the rules were super dumb, but made sense. So if you go here, just prepare for some weirdly specific strict rules. But overall, the staff was incredible. Shoutout to Brackus, Lice, and Shmandrew (Im not sure if they would like me using their real names, so those are just nicknames I gave them. They know who they are). Those three staff members legitimately helped change my life. I came in with absolutely no desire to live, struggling with suicidal ideation, self harm, major depressive disorder, severe anxiety, PTSD, and borderline personality disorder. They helped teach me a lot about what it means to live. I still struggle a lot with these issues, but these staff members helped me get to a place where I could go home and stay out of hospitals after being in treatment and away from home for 7 months. I strongly believe that they literally saved my life.Shoutout to house-mama-Lindsay, the best facility manager ever. Shoutout to Tanaz and Carly, two of the most incredible therapists ever. Im still mad at Tanaz because she wouldnt let me hug the staff members or clients when I left due to stupid covid. I made some hilarious memories with the staff members and clients there, Ill remember them forever.Evolve was a really good environment where I legitimately felt safe and where I felt comfortable being myself. Thank you so much, Evolve, maybe I actually do have a life worth living.

Man yk what it wasn’t too bad. shout out to lice (Bryce), love ur ig pfp. Another shout out to Braxy, found photos of you with GH. Was not expecting that to be the famous ex... my condolences. I was there for almost fourty (idk how to spell it) but 4t days and some of the staff made it bearable. There were a select few i wanted to deck but i toughed it out. We pulled pranks on the staff and they didn’t level drop us so i guess they’re cool. Only four stars because lice’s sud is always a 0 and it’s sus. Bad form.

I am so disappointed, I came here to get help for suicidal ideation and instead they made my treatment more about “behavior reform”. Most of the staff i interacted with were very unempathetic, with the exception of Andrew and Parry. Still, these staff only come a few times a week and it’s very difficult to feel heard by any other staff. All of the kids there are extremely unhappy about being there and cannot express it because they will be level dropped for being “negative”. I am really peeved that my parents sacrificed time and money for me to be somewhere that didn’t help. Don’t send your kids here.
