This place needs a reset and some people who genuinely care about their facilities. The equipment is old, much of it is in need of maintenance and replacement. Treadmills are old and skip, the ellipticals are old and very noisy and inconsistent with their resistance, the free weights are old and the barbells are bent, the dumbbells are inconsistent with their weight, the staff is extremely rude to people who are new to the facility. I only used this place because the hotel had guest memberships for patrons, thank God Ill never have to use that place again. Avoid it if you can, the Fuel Fitness and the Courts fitness are much better and are more driven to ensure you get a good workout.

Great Staff!! Raye manages the pool better than any pool Ive visited. Personable and friendly life guards and they all keep it clean. Plenty of classes, and a great workout area up top. Matt and the crew do a great job with the kids programs too.

Excellent facilities. Just passing through the area on a road trip. The swim and shower were refreshing.

Iam appauled on how my husband and i got treated by a life guard very rude and accused of us of making out and things that we werent doing we were gettimg ready to leave the lap pool and go to the hot tub my husband wasnt even near me at that point we came because our backs hurt and our kids wanted to swim. We are a married couple and we have every right to hug and hold hands and kiss. We were not being inapropriate by any means. Or maybe the life guard just got offened because our children were the only mixed kids there but when ray is there we never have problems by any means we have never been accused of such things ever in the 5 years i ve been coming there. I will take my business out side of town if my family and i want to swim never in my life i just couldnt believe. How we were treated

Another great night at the Butte YMCA! Used the new Expresso bike for the first time tonight, created a username and started on the pedal games. This is crazy addictive and really fun, and adds a new element to the workout experience. Of course, competing with fellow Y members for hi-score is the real goal here....besides staying fit!

This YMCA is relatively new and, of course, has various activities for the hole family. There is ample parking. The Y has a swimming pool with lanes for lap swimming and where swimming meets are held. There is a nice water slide that empties into a pool made for that purpose. There is a shallow pool that the children can walk into. In this shallow pool there is an oversized frog shaped water slide. There is also another swimming pool for those who know how to swim. This pool is used for aqua-arobics in the evening. There are dressing rooms for men, women, and families. On the second floor there are all manner of exercise equipment to use. There are walking machines, all kinds of weight machines, and an area for calisthenics. There are many programs available for those who are interested to sign up. The facility is well maintained and the staff are very pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend the Butte Family YMCA.

Good place to exercise or relax for swimming

Was there for a swim meet. The facility was very clean. They have a water slide that looked really fun.

Was just rudely approached by a lifeguard saying that me and my wife couldnt hug or kiss or hold hands while there with our kids seriously cant believe the disrespect will not be going back i feel discriminated against

Great work out facility. Staff is super helpful. Plenty of programs for all ages. They host special events for kids, and the whole family can come have fun. The pool area is top notch. Slides and kids play area. The hot tub is my favorite feature

Such a great facility for the Butte Area. We help the Special Olympics Area Spring Games here yesterday. The staff were so accommodating and wonderful to work with and the facilities are great. They have a wonderful pool area with a kids area, a shallow pool and then the standard pool. If you are looking for an affordable place to work out with many of options, go no further.

This pace has the best pool area in Montana. An amazing lap pool, areas for all kinds of water activities, and a waterslide!! The staff is uber kind and the lifeguards are great.

So amazing at community events. Last couple years have really focused on nutrition and the way they do it is so fun. They are fantastic about swimming lessons and partnering with local schools. My kids going to parties there as well.

Its been awhile since Ive been there a lot of my friends to go out there they have a really fun time all the time with their kids but Im thinking about getting myself off a membership its well worth it. And Im 56 years old.

A fantastic facility, two pools, hot tub, nautilus, free weights, several cardio classes, and water exercise classes, even ones geared for arthritis.

Excellent facilities, gym, pool and area for the little ones.

We had a birthday party with about 20 children in this location and it went off withouta hitch.. helpful staf.
