I had an emergency I couldnt stay in my apt for a week. I called catholic charities and left a message. Chuck called me back immediately and when I told him the issue he said call him that morning when i leave my apt and hed get me and my children into a motel. Sure enough that morning he did exactly what he said he would. They were/are very accommodating. It was something that needed done quickly so they interviewed me after I was in the motel which they have an office in for quick access to them. Im here now and feel very safe. Thank u Chuck and Catholic Charities for the help. Also to anyone leaving bad reviews; they have rules from the government they have to follow. They are not turning ppl away for just no reason. They have a job to do and bosses like any other job. If u want to get mad at someone get mad at the US government for their rules and regulations.

Catholic Charities in Butler, PA helped my brother when he was homeless do to his drinking problem. They paid for a motel to stay in rent free and feed him. They also, helped to get a job and clothes, shoes and a monthly bus pass for his job.He found an apartment and Catholic Charities paid the first 3 months rent and the security deposit. God bless you all for donates their time and money to help my brother. You maybe thinking why I didnt help him myself. I was constantly bailing him out again and again. I had to let him go because I wasnt really helping him. He had to hit his rock bottom .

Horrible, worst case scenario is much better than this place. Filled with cockroaches and evil doers who prey among the weak. I would beyond definitely not recommend.

I had lived there over 10 years ago as a 12 year old girl. My mom and I were in a bad home situation and the employees there accepted us with open arms that same day. Because my mom didnt fall on hard times with drugs the people let us stay there for over a month before we found a place to stay. They were kind to us. When you live there you get your own room. You share a bathroom and a kitchen with three other rooms but if youre down on your luck and need a place to stay it will help you.

Chuck had me list my expenses and income and said You dont have any money and we dont have free housing. Talk to your bank you may need to declare bankruptcy. You dont need a car there are plenty of places in Butler you can walk to. I know you dont want to here this but you may very well become homeless.... I didnt expect a free appartment. I didnt expect any money. I was under the impression this is where you can get help finding affordable housing.

Karen was very rude and unprofessional, she got my husbands information (when asked what could they help us with she said she was unsure if they could us with anything) why ask for my husbands name and social security number, if youre unsure if your organization can help us. Karen let people finish talking before you interrupt them, my husband was trying to explain our situation to you. This kind of behavior is unprofessional and unacceptable. Learn how to be a little more compassionate and work on your social skills.

Chuck Allen was sarcastic and condesending. We were reaching out for help, and he made me feel like our hardship was entirely our fault. He should get a different job.

CC helps with paying for housing when you are at risk of eviction or homeless regardless of religious beliefs for all of Butler County citizens.CC does not find people housing and there are income requirements the state mandates to be eligible for services.
