Ive been a patient here for years. Most of the young doctors Ive had here are very good doctors, but just try calling this place. Its been awful for years. On hold 5 mins, 10 minutes. Just awful! The front desk lets you know you arent that important to them.

This place is by far the worst place I have been. Every time I go I have a different dr and non of them know what they are doing. Makes yeah feel a bit defeated when you have to discribe ur situation to every new class clown.

Horrible. I can’t wait to switch doctors. I been waiting on a prior authorization for my prescription since February, it’s now the end of April and my doc has JUST NOW contacted me. I even contacted my insurance and tried getting an appeal for my prescription and they didn’t even follow through with that. Now I have to go in for another visit for something that should’ve been done correctly in February. I’ve done everything on my part, they just aren’t doing theirs! They never answer the phones you just stay on hold for forever. Neglectful!!! Not sure if they are having difficulties working since covid or what but they’ve definitely lost a patient. If I could give zero stars I would.

My family is blessed to be patients here no doctors were taking new patients and we are treated kindly & professionally by every employee at this clinic. What I have seen while in the office is other patients arguing, yelling & swearing at the front desk employees about not having their drivers license or insurance card it is shocking to see child like behavior in adults. I feel sorry for all the employees there they tolerate a lot of bad behavior. This is a gem in Ascensions crown!

I just love this place!!Prior to becoming a patient here I read the reviews and most were negative so going in I didnt have high expectations. Thankfully I decided to give it a shot anyway. So here are my thoughts/reactions to those negative comments.Expect longer wait times occasionally but know that these doctors, whether it be a student or one of their mentors, care about their patients and want to give them their time which unfortunately makes for longer wait times for the next patient. But think of it this way, if Im that next patient I know that just like the person before me, theyll give me extra time when needed.Another thing I saw in the negativities, prescriptions not being sent over like they were supposed to. I can speak on this from both sides of the coin...as a patient and as a pharmacy technician, ie: the receiving end. Okay, so occasionally they may forget to send something but what happens most often in this super digitized world we live in is sending errors; meaning the computers on the sending side (doctor) or receiving side (pharmacy) dont link up. It may seem hard to believe but computers arent flawless and just take a second to think about the massive amount of information both sides of this coin processes each day. So guess what?? Dont lose you $h¡t, be patient with both the receptionist that you speak to at the doctors office and the individual you talk to at the pharmacy and ask them to kindly try again. Thats it!! Now youre being a patient patient and youre being your own medical advocate.Moral of the story: Be your own advocate, be kind and speak to people as you wish to have them speak to you, and lastly practice patience...everything will run so much smoother for all parties involved.

With the pandemic, they have someone checking temps at the door and lady today was wearing perfume that immediately gave me a migraine. This seems to be a trend at this office. You would think they wouldnt allow perfume and cologne on their employees considering many people have scent sensitivity. More times than not i come without a headache and leave with one, which is so much fun for someone with debilitating chronic migraines. I wont even get into the attitudes of some of the receptionists. They make you feel soooo welcome. Plus you can only address one issue per visit...they love milking your insurance.Follow up: after dealing with my pain for weeks and multiple doc visits and my xrays being lost, i go back last week only to have the doctor(whom Ive never seen before) come in and without even examining me say if nothing were doing is working, i dont know what you want me to do, i dont understand why you made this appointment SERIOUSLY?!

Its the doctors not the front desk.. Front desk is great and awesome just love them. When you are a single mother, pay a babysitter during covid-19, to watch your kids, so you can go to the doctor for a physical and meds after the doctors have failed to call in your mental meds for the second day. Only to have to choose between your meds and physical because the doctor is too busy and needs to get off work quickly to hang out with the others that are done. Heard while heading to check out..

The staff was friendly, I didnt have to wait more than 5-10 minutes, and the doctor hooked me up with all my asthma and allergy medication! I CAN BREATH SO WELL!!!! I LOVE this place!! A big THANK YOU to everyone in the building! :D

Do not go here, at all!We have went to this location for years. Then administration made changes, maybe the admin changed hands. Either way, the staff and decision makers do not care about you. Clerks and receptions are rude, and lack professionalism. I cannot tell you how many times a person acted as though I was inconvenient. The process is to charge more money, not provide healthcare. If it was just a matter of a teaching Faculity, that would be fine, but even the persons who should pay attention, don’t. When Covid started, I expect my doctors to be conscientious, instead they expected everyone to lump together in the waiting room. The common ignorance of health professionals, and lack of sensible application makes this facility dangerous.If you are reading this, you may not know what to value. Let me tell you this, I do do reviews, social media, or any online identity depictions. This is one of only a few entries I have ever made. That is the significance of this post.

Last time I went here I waited for ever to be seen. Then A lady comes and looks at me funny and says where’s the doctor? Um what? He hasn’t been in yet. She huffs a little and leaves. Then I hear the dudes name being called over the intercom over and over again. I almost walked out. He finally comes. He looked super disheveled and not at all like he’s cared about what I had going on. This is the doctor!!! Like what in the world is the matter with this place? They asked me if I wanted to have my pregnancy with them.... I just laughed and said no way! Everything these people do is like an afterthought. What a joke of an office. This isn’t the only thing that’s happened but just an idea of the experience you have when you come to this place.

This is the worse places ever! All they do is talk to each other and have you in a room for hours! Its sad.... My Job sent me here. Im SO mad. I wish I could do a video of all the fun they have. Been going to this clinic for 5 1/2 years love all the doctors and front desk they are wonderful and friendly always fast with getting us in the back and seen by the doctor had great experience with my pregnancy with a genesys ob gyn Dr.matthew Palmer totally recommend him for high risk pregnancies

I have been going to this office over 15yrs an was just told I am not a patient because I havent been sick enough to come in . A doctor will only see me to evaluate if I can be a patient not treat or address any medical problems I have today. I am sick an need a doctor to see me now . So sad to say good bye but me an my three children two of witch have only been to a doctor at this location their whole lives will not be going back so sad to see how long term loyal patients are treated. I have always had nothing but wonderful things to say about this place until now. Its a very very sad day. Shame on all of you. This is disgusting an despicable.

So I have been going here for a while... Over a year now. The biggest problem I have with this place is refilling prescriptions. I call at least 3 to 4 days ahead of time to fill my prescription as it can take up to 3 business days. The last 2 times I have tried to fill my prescription I wait the three business days and then call back to let them know nothing has been called in. I called last Tuesday for my refill, come Friday nothing is at the pharmacy so I call again and let them know that I will be needing my prescription before the weekend. Nothing. Now Im 2 days without my prescription and Im not happy. Very irritating. I am doing my part and Id appreciate it if you guys could do yours.

It takes a lot of persistance to get the information and curtousy one needs from a clinic such as this.Walk in and they tell you to sign in, no sort of courtousy or polite inquiry.I had to have a persistant good attitude just to get someone to engage in a productive conversation.Called for my test results two times and got sent to voicemail twice.When i arrived to recieve more info, the secratary said the woman that sent me to voicemail twice was on the phone... that same lady finally called my name and seemed upset and proceeded to have a condensending tone and remain frustrated just because i was curious on my results.Very little proffecionalism.I expect more from a dying community. These should be places filled with hope, courtasy and happiness as medical studies would say, a happier enviorment creates a healthy envioronment which one will feel comfortable and more subseptible to healing.

THIS PLACE IS A BIG HUGE JOKE! Went in yesterday and seen a new dr. He told me he was going to call in 3 to 4 scripts to my pharmacy for me. And 24 hrs later I only got 1 filled! I called them up 2 times today asking for my other scripts to be called into my pharmacy I go to and they only called in one more right before they closed. Sooo therefore I am getting dizzy spells because Im anemic and dont have the script to get the medicine for the dizzy spells! Wow! Way to go Genesys Family Health Center! Way to go! I will be switching Drs offices in May and in the meantime I will be going to the urgent care! Screw this place. Plus I was told by a staff memeber it was MY JOB to call them for my results for any tests they make me take and to call them for my refills! Mmm. I went in and the dr said that he would call them in for me. Then he didnt do that(only 1 called in). Then I called back 2 times in one day to see if they called my other scripts in. And they only called in one. Do I really seriously gotta do their jobs for them? I have done my part. They have not really done theirs. This place is joke. Been having problems with them for almost 3 yrs now. I am done with this place. PLEASE PEOPLE DO NOT GO TO THIS DR OFFICE!!!

This is the worst doctors office I have ever went to. They do not listen to you. If you try to tell them whats wrong with you they tell you your wrong. Twice they tried to give me meds that Im allergic to. When I told them they did nothing to change it and said it will go away on its own. Please if you value your health you will not go here!!

Where do I start. I use to get really good interns, now they don’t listen to you or tell you that you should bring that up at your next appointment. They don’t document their vaccines, so you get letters and and calls fro Michigan health department. This happened twice.I went to verify my pregnancy and all the Dr said was yup, you’re are pregnant. I asked what my due date was and she said, oh, I don’t have the app on my phone. I don’t know. I had to google it myself. I am considered high risk, yet I had to call her 3 times before she tried to schedule an ultrasound. Then, ultrasound didn’t call until the day after I requested my records and switch Dr.’s. But before I switched, I came in to see a different Dr. (while pregnant with second child) for sinuses. He prescribed me nasal spray. I told him that I was told my last pregnancy that I couldn’t use that while pregnant. He swore I could. Paid $50, read the insert, “Do not use while pregnant, may cause low birth weight “For some dumb reason, I decided it would be a good idea to take my new born there. I took him in at least once a month for 3 months. He would puke a lot and not gain weight. At one point the Dr. said she would get him something for it. A week later and several phone calls, and she called something in.I still was having problems. I tried calling, left a message and again, still no response for a week. She finally called back and gave ME attitude because THEIR phones were not working. I’m a mother of a newborn! No sympathy.Finally, a different head Dr seen my son after the intern asked if I had any concerns. If they would have looked at his records, they would’ve seen he hadn’t gained a single pound or grown a single inch since he was born. Apparently this only concerned me. They sent me to a GI Dr where I found out he was starving, had a Milk protein allergy, and suffered from acid reflux. They let my baby suffer for 3 months despite my persistence that something was wrong. He was almost hospitalized. The GI Dr. TRUSTED me, and knew I would do everything I had to to make him better.They need to learn to listen to their patients more. They don’t know everything.My new pediatrician requested my kids records and they told them they they were not patients of theirs.

I.would give this place ZERO STARS if possible!!!! 3 hour wait just to go back WITH A CHILD... During 3 hour wait they only called back 5 people!!! Then when I finally said something...I was told by a staff member the worse time to come is between 12-2 !!! Well then how about closing if u dont wanna have enough.staff!!
