I come for infusions and injections. Its a nice place, comfortable, and the nurses are all very kind.
I go here for just normal IV fluid infusions and of the infusion centers I go to this place is top-notch. They are always willing to try and get me in last minute if they can and the nurses are amazing. I love the privacy they give their, especially compared to other infusion clinics where you are just in an open chair in a big room where everyone can see and hear everything. This clinic offers chairs and beds that can have almost full privacy.
I went to the Fairview Ridges Cancer Clinic for genetic counseling. I was told results would take 2-3 weeks. After 5 weeks, I called and asked what was taking so long and they blamed my insurance company. I called insurance and it turns out Fairview hadnt even submitted the pre-authorization to insurance until 4 weeks after my appointment. They sent more paperwork at 5 weeks (after I had started asking questions). The clinic manager said more than one person dropped the ball, but later acted like it was no big deal. When I finally received the results, the genetic counselor spent about 5-7 minutes regurgitating facts from the initial consultation. She then sent a letter recapping everything we covered - except we hadnt actually discussed the vast majority of what she said we had.She offered unsolicited advice on my reproductive future which included additional testing. I actually spoke to another clinic about this suggested testing and they refuse to do it - its against their code of ethics - which made me question her recommendations.I filed a complaint with Fairview patient relations regarding what I feel was dishonesty on the part of the genetic counselors. It took them over two months to come back saying they did nothing wrong - big surprise. They were kind enough to say I would not incur any out of pocket costs. Then a few days later they sent me a bill...I do not trust this clinic, their genetic counselors or their labs.
