Purchased $243 used bike from owner Julie and during test run while I was walking it the tire popped, no big deal it’s an easy fix and old bike so I understand. It took about a month for a simple tire change but because of personal issues that Julie had with me because of my living situation with her significant other she decided to give me the money back and told me I can pay her when she fixes it. Weeks later I’m finally told the bike is available and that I need to pay her full price again for this bike. Not only do I not want to get it because in the future I don’t trust any repairs on her behalf, but also the unnecessary treatment I received from the owner because of my living situation is totally unprofessional when it’s known she does many tire repairs daily. I’ve told them I would no longer like to go forward with this purchase because of the disrespect I was shown as a customer. Going forward, I hope they can improve their management system to make sure everyone is treated fairly no matter what personal issues one may have. If you own a business, please treat everyone professionally and respectfully and not as shown in this business. Thank you

Blatantly ran up the price of the bike after I told them how much I was willing to spend. I understand they’ve got to make money but I found it rude and wouldn’t go back.

I called up a few different bike shops back in March to help me with my new e-bike. Bettys was the only shop able to help me same-day. Very kind people. Would recommend.

What an absolute pleasure it has been for me working with Bettys Bikes. I am new to bicycling and needed some help choosing a bike. I tried multiple times to contact one of the premier local bike shops and they were not helpful at all. At one point, I was told flatly that they were too busy to help me, and could not let me know when someone would be available. In stark contrast was Julie at Bettys Bikes. Julie took the time to have a pleasant and leisurely conversation with me the first time I called. I then bought an old bike from Craigslist that Julie refurbished for me. She was a good listener and set the bike up just the way I hoped for. And she did so at an unbelievably reasonable cost. And thats not even the best part--I dropped my bike off on a Wednesday evening, Julie had surgery that Friday, and my bike was still ready the following Monday. Totally bonkers. I plan to have all of my future work done at Bettys.

Betty is one of the most incredible humans I have ever met. She is beyond friendly and super helpful. The shop itself is amazing, huge selection of bikes, parts, and accessories. Lots of used bikes that she fixes up and resells in top-notch condition. The shop also buys used bikes, which is super awesome. Being a small, locally owned business, I cant think of a better bike shop to do business with than this one.

Really like this quirky, eclectic little shop... have bought and sold a few bikes here, as I live in the area. All types and price ranges. I like the fact that its a non-profit that started on a shoestring, and has been able to survive for six years while helping the community. The owner, Julie, is friendly, bright, and knowledgeable. She also runs a repair school for those who would like to get certified, and perhaps get a new career.... or get serious about repairs and building. Lots of cool books on many subjects and coffee, too !

Tucked away down the path, These people are awesome and will take care of your every bicycle need. They can help you choose a bike to fit your needs, allow your test ride it. If you have any issue with your bike they have the people to fix it. Just give them a call if they dont seem open.

If Google would let reviewers throw a sixth star into a rave review once a year, Id give mine to Bettys Bikes.Going to Bettys was by far the best experience Ive ever had at a bike shop. Id put off taking my road bike in for way too long, in part because I usually dread dealing with the attitude and judgement that I associate so deeply with interacting with underpaid, underemployed staff at your typical shop. But Julie was incredibly helpful, kind, and patient, and her set up was super chill. I called late on a Thursday afternoon and she apologized she couldnt get me in the next day. I ended up booked a time to come in on a Saturday, and then when the work ran a little long, she offered to meet up the next day to finish up. She was happy to talk through all the tasks that needed doing, and was happy to put me to work, so that Id have a better ability to take care of my bike in the future. In the end, she was going to only ring me up for a tire and a brake line (both for way cheaper than Ive seen anywhere else), when really we did like four other things. For the first time ever in my frugal life I made sure I paid double the asking price.

Took two bikes for repairs. Julie did an excellent job with repairs at very reasonable prices.

Chill staff. Excellent deals on parts and service. No upcharge, no BS, and work gets done quickly. Such a good spot. Go to this bike shop.

Great mechanics, budget-conscious, fast turnaround. Now our go-to repair shop.
