One of the worst healthcare companies to ever exist. Absolutely disappointed me and my family. Said there was a 24 hour call nurse who could come out, when I called for assistance they just prescribed more medicine. Said the medication for my grandfather would be ready at 8 a.m. but they did not send the medication to the pharmacist until 10:30 a.m. They talk like they will get everything in fast and everything will be on time and easy for you but they do not help you at all. My grandfathers bed cushion to help with pain came in literally 15 minutes after he died. They did not help with keeping him comfortable.We did. I am a trained CNA and they did so many unsanitary and Unprofessional things during our time with them. Even when they called the funeral home to pick my grandfather, they did not present the right information. I did so much to care for him and I felt hopeless that a hospice establishment did not help one bit. When they got his body ready for the funeral home the NURSE not the nursing assistant squirted soap all over my grandpa to make him “smell good because he stank” (according to her) He didn’t smell good because not one time did someone come by to give him a bath. I’m disappointed and heart broken that a place like that didn’t even give the decency to care for an amazing man like my grandfather. Everything they say is a lie. We had to pay for the medication out of pocket at first because the card they gave us did not work. Also my grandmother had to go to the pharmacy 4 times to get everything straightened out. They were unorganized. It was pitiful and Careless. They evens let my grandfathers arm fall off the bed while turning him.

Extremely disappointed with the non care my father received from Amedisys. He did not get the care he deserved. We had to call several times just to ask to get someone out to help him. He passed away in 3 days of the care he was supposed to receive. They never came out to give him a bath, and when we called about him throwing up multiple times, all they did was call in medicine for him. No one came out to care for or check on him. The bedding supplies ordered the first day arrived three days later after he had already passed. The medicines ordered for dad were not even set up correctly for payment by hospice, my mother had to wait hours at the pharmacy to get his meds, and she even had to pay out of pocket for them. The whole experience we had with Amedisys was horrible. I would not recommend them to care for any loved one.Still today, 3/10, one week later of loosing my dad, the bed and oxygen machine is still sitting in my parents home for my mother to see everyday. They still have not arranged to get the DME out of her home. I have worked for another local hospice in the past and I have never seen such horrible care.And then I see three new posts giving them 5 stars. Are you kidding me? The company is posting their own reviews. You can confirm by checking the IP address for each review. Just keep your loved ones away from their company. This company does not take care of people, give them the respect they deserve nor do they offer any help to their families.

Absolutely the worst! It takes forever for someone to call you back, then when you finally get a call they give you the run around. It took forever for them to put loved one on any kind of pain medication. Dont even get me started on the nurse and aids that only come when they see fit.

Best Hospice in the area.

I wish I could find a better home hospice care to come out to my home and take care of my mom and show us the respect that we deserve.
