AWESOME! This vet clinic is nothing short of that! My dog was involved in an accident while we were out of town and after getting the run around from our current vet of 15+ years Summer Street was more than helpful in the situation. They understand customer service and communication! They are now our vet clinic and several other family members vet clinic because they care about their customers and their fur babies! I would highly recommend them to anyone and will continue to do so!

Daisy is a 2 year old pit bull/german shepard mix......she is a handful.....chewed up her weight in my shoes etc.....so after searching for an emergent care vet that cares we found Summer Street...and what a blessing that has been. Getting clear information about her condition and what to expect.....how to allow for the next few stages....they helped us figure out a clear path. I have ordered her wheel chair and it should be here in the next day or so......I am so grateful......I recommend the staff too...each person that laid hands on Daisy were caring professionals...I feel like i have partners in her care!

We were visiting out of town when our dog had a horrible accident. We were able to call into Summer Street Animal Clinic and they got us in that day and took great care of our dog. They were quick, informative, and answered all of our questions. A week later, I called back to talk to the vet about a couple more questions we had and the secretary was able to get our questions answered by the vet within the hour. I recommend this vet clinic to anyone looking for quality care and vet physicians that will take the time to answer your questions.

Excellent clinic! We were passing through from out of state and our puppy was sick. They fit us in within 45 minutes near closing time. The whole staff was very friendly and were great with our puppy. We got the meds she needed and her 3rd set of vaccines. They even called us 3 weeks later to remind us it was time for her 4th set of shots. I wish this clinic was in our home town!

In these curious days of Covid-19, taking my dog Tess to Summer Street Clinic for her yearly appointment could have been stressful. But the veterinarians, vet techs, and staff clearly worked out a plan for handling critters that keeps everyone safe. The kennels outside of the front door, complete with a hook for a leash and a pocket for medications/paperwork, worked smoothly. Chatting on the phone about my concerns for Tess before the appointment and again after Dr. Van Zee examined her was a good way to communicate. As always, I appreciate knowing we are getting such good care at the clinic!

I love Summer Street Animal Clinic. I worked at the clinic for 4 years and was very sad to go. Knowing what I know about SSAC and their staff, I will never take my pets anywhere else. I dont think I would trust anyone else with their lives.The doctors took the time and helped me through my Poopys back issue until it was resolved. Which if anyone has dealt with a bulging disk problem with their dog they can relate how exhausting it can be for recovery, if they are lucky enough to recover at all. They have taught me how important routine care is from vaccinating to preventing against fleas & heartworms. Some people overlook those things and they really shouldnt because it can lead to so many other problems.Do what is right for your pet and go to Summer Street Animal Clinic!

Scoobie our 7 year old dog was hit & front leg was broken. Dr. Van Zee did the surgery & installed a plate with 11 screws. Just had her 2 month check up & all is good. She is running & playing as if nothing had happened. Excellent job Dr. Van Zee!

Today was our first time to Summer Street animal clinic. Our precious little Chihuahua Canchita was a little scared but the super friendly staff changed all that. Dr. Hillyard explained each procedure carefully and we are so thankful to God that surgery was successful. It was such a blessing to find a professional, caring and loving atmosphere. I am so pleased that our vet recommended Dr. Hillyard and wonderful staff.

I was referred to Dr Van Z by my vet to have one of my dogs leg removed. The staff was great and put me at ease right away. I always recommend Summer Street! Heath and Merlin care so much for both of my pups and they are so great at answering any stupid questions I have. I always leave feeling at ease because I know my dogs are well taken care of. Everybody in the office is always SO friendly and obviously care about my dogs as well. The vet tech, Hannah always takes great care of my dogs and does a GREAT job when I take them in for a nail trim. She even remembers the temperament of both of my dogs and how/where theyre most comfortable. The vet can be a scary place for both the animals and owners, but Summer Street makes the whole process as pain free as possible!

The doctors and staff at Summer St. are wonderful caring people. Our dog Cooper is having surgery today with Dr. VanZee. He has been all of our pets doctor for over twenty years. I have total faith leaving Cooper in his care, knowing he knows our family well and will do the very best for him. The Doctor called me personally to update me on the status of her examination of my cat.. She did not rush me off the phone even though my pet was worked in that day with other appointments. The safety guidelines at the clinic were effective and no procedures were added without my permission.

Dr van z gave him a checkup and we had a blocked Tom cat few day at summer street with there amazing and great staff that call you to give you updates on how your pet is doing batman came home home to us just fine

I brought Max in to have his nails trimmed. He lost his rabies tag the previous week so I asked if I could get a new one. The two technicians who trimmed Maxs nails were so gentle, kind and caring with him. He hates to have have his paws touched, but they were wonderful with him. Before we were finished with his nail trimming, the technician brought us a new rabies tag to our room. I feel Summer Street Animal Clinic will go the extra mile for you and your pet!

Ive been bringing my two cats here for 12 years. The staff and doctors are always friendly and helpful. I found a stray and was trying to take care of it but it wasnt getting any better. I called the clinic and they said bring her in and when I got there there wasnt much hope for her. They put her to sleep for me at no cost. I recommend Summer Street animal clinic to everyone.

Used to trust this place with my fur babies, but not anymore..my cat Ella got sick and they classified it a upper respiratory infection. Well a week later after that they said the antibiotic injection they gave her made a abscess pop.. but let me remind you the vet dr that diagnosed her was talking to me about a procedures in her throat that she’s been wanting to do and she hadn’t done one yet and that its her birthday it’d make her wish... same day she was diagnosed..little to know other vet dr I talked to after she had passed told me that if not caught and treated appropriately it can cause lung failure. Well somethings wrong here. My cat had a hard time breathing and she was wheezing but wanted to say her X-rays and what not were fine. That it was an abscess in her throat… Never again. Makes me sick knowing my cat was misdiagnosed… here’s pictures of my cat in the oxygen incubator. She was family.. if you love your pet.. don’t take them here.. I will never go here again. 😔

I have been taking my dogs here since they were very young, they take great care of my dogs and are always available when I have questions or concerns. I enjoy using their online portal if I have non urgent questions, they answer almost right away. My family has been going to Summer Street for as long as I can remember. I started coming back in 2011 when I moved home and the technicians and the veterinarians have taken amazing care of my pets. I cant say enough how comfortable I am with bringing our two dogs (Ages 6 and 8) to Summer Street Animal Clinic. Weve been bringing them both here since they were puppies. In the last few months alone we have had quite a few emergencies with our dogs, and the staff there does their best to not only calm our fears in a frightening situation, but offer tremendous care and dedication to our animals. I love how well they know our family and our dogs histories, and I wouldnt take our boys anywhere else. My husband and I love the staff at Summer Street, and are so grateful for them taking such great care of our fur babies!

Taken better care of my pet than the “other “ clinic. The other clinic almost killed my pet , when my pet had high blood pressure and needed the eye removed .Summer Street removed the eye , watched my pet overnight . My pet is doing a lot better. Summer street saved my cat. Thank you :)

Dr . Becky is the bomb, she was there with no hesitation when my baby girl got sick and made sure I was okay several days after we lost her. I know have a 6 month old service puppy and I have the best doctor and staff to care for her. I also have other dogs and all are extremely excited when we pull up at the clinic.

We had gotten several opinions with regard to our dog limping. When we went to see Dr. Van Zee we were sure we were going to be looking at surgery. After an exam and x-rays we were told that surgery would not be needed. What a relief! The Dr. spent a good amount of time with us and answered all of our questions and showed us the x-rays and went over them with us. We left with all of our questions answered. We will return for some follow-up in a few months. Very impressed with the thoroughness and professionalism of this practice.

The only vet we trust. All of the staff and doctors have been excellent in the care of both of our fur-children Henry & Lucy. Henry has had continuous issues with bladder stones and their team approached each treatment with knowledge and care. We know when we bring our dogs to Summer Street they will be well cared for.

I called Summer Street Animal Clinic because I couldn’t get into my regular veterinarian on the same day I called. I thought one of my dogs had something caught in her throat because she kept hacking and coughing. To my relief they got me in within a couple hours. Turned out she had kennel cough and a low grade fever. She was prescribed antibiotics and they had me pay for their services while still in the exam room so as not to expose any other animals. Then we were on our way. Friendly staff and very professional. The exam rooms were also very nice.Donna Heyland

Fatz is a senior boxer and all 3 vets have treated him thru the years. It is almost time for him to go to heaven and as hard as it will be I cant take him anywhere else. They always made him and me comfy. Ive stayed in the kernels with him as he came out of surgery and they have never said I couldnt be there for him. God bless them for their big hearts and true caring of their fur baby clients.

My son just had to surrender there dog because she needed another surgery for ingesting a necklace. She already had surgery for ingesting a rope toy. She could of had Pica. I know I am not a vet but my whole family is devastated from the having to gIve the dog up. Are you going to keep doing surgery on her when she eats something.

Ive never ever been disappointed with the care given to my 2 girls (dogs). The saying you get what you pay for....is true. Yes its a tad more expensive, but the peace of mind is worth it. This is a full lab/xray/surgery/kennel/end of life care clinic. The personal is all knowledgeable, the Veterinarians Excell with their knowledge, compassion, personable care.I cant say enough good things!!
