Pretty decent. Extremely busy though, so unless the staff is short (in which case it’s common practice to make this plenty aware), the hours need to be extended by a fold… Otherwise, to shorten the hours like they have, they create a bottlenecked issue of overcrowding, which creates more concerns of COVID exposure.Edit: in response to owner, I have adjusted the rating in hopes of reconsideration on their end.

All the folks here are very friendly and focused on the quality of your workout, enjoyment or recreation experience. I primarily use the pools which are of excellent quality! The water does NOT reek of chlorine like so many others nearby. I highly recommend a membership!

Should be 5 stars because the facilities are great, it’s very clean, good machines and the staff is awesome. The rating is because as someone who’s there 5 times a week it’s pretty frustrating how little parking they have. 2-3 times a week i have to park either on the street where i have to pay or in a parking lot 5 blocks away. It may be the time i’m there, so it’s possible other times of day aren’t as bad, but still.

Pretty much stole hundreds of dollars from me by charging my account while I had it paused. For months I was a member completely unaware. When I caught on, I brought it up thinking it was a simple fix - I never went once in all those months! But as per policy they refused to refund the money. Horrible management. Deplorable.

I just joined the YMCA-Burlington! What a wonderful facility with friendly staff and a well laid-out weight room. In the week since I have arrived to Burlington, all gym members have been respectful. Again, wonderful facility.

It is incredibly disappointing how little equipment they have for the amount of people who go there. Please expand the free weights and benches. Most of the time I’m waiting for someone else to finish rather than working out.Update: Their hours of operation are terrible for busy people.

If you’re a YMCA member in good standing and need a place to workout when you travel, stop by the Greater Burlington YMCA (on the corner of College St and S.Union Street). Didn’t include pictures from the inside but they have an excellent lap pool as well as weights (free and Cybex type circuits) as well as cardio equipment. The staff is very helpful and great at getting you set up in the system if you’re from out of town. They do not have a parking lot so you’ll have to use a meter (25 cents for 15 minutes) or find a parking lot that doesn’t charge you for the first two hours.

After trying several other places for swimming lessons, we tried the Y at their old location and were very happy with the quality of instruction for youth swimming. Our girls have enjoyed their lessons (the lap pool can be a bit cold for our kids) but their instructors keep them moving. We look forward to resuming lessons in their new facility when it opens again. (The workout area is also really nice in the new location).

Are you ever gonna get parking? Parking is still a joke, thought you would listen to us before building this awesome place you call it. I am going to snap fitness, it’s 24 hours and I do not have to worry with parking thanks!

Nice place, cool employees. Loooots of ego lifting: for the record I dont really care if people grunt or wanna get big or are hardcore , w/e. But slamming down equipment (even barbells) RUINS it. So employees please enforce the slamming weight rules ! There is no reason as to why they cant be somewhat gingerly about it , tune it down bros

I went to the YMCA during the winter of 2013-14. I then stopped going and assumed since I had paid my balance ahead of time that my bill was satisfied. This winter I went back to renew my membership and I was told I had a balance of $20 from the previous year because you have to give a 30-day cancellation notice. I said that I would gladly pay it and I was surprised nobody had sent me a bill or attempted to call me. They said that because of people not paying their bills I was now required to use a bank account instead of cash to pay my membership fees. I refused as I prefer to use cash at places with questionable security standards. I contacted the director, Jaime, to see if she could make an exception. She offered to transfer me to the billing department as she does not handle these types of things. I said yes please and instead she disconnected the call.To summarize: The reception staff were not knowledgeable or helpful. The YMCA is silly to expect me to enter my bank account information into their computer system for a $20/month membership fee. The director apparently was incapable of handling my issue and instead of transferring me ended the call. I am deeply dissatisfied. I wouldnt expect much from a cheap public gym, but the Burlington YMCA has managed to surprise me with their low quality of customer service.
