Kin is really great! My husband and I have been going to him for a while now. He is so good at what he does and really seems to care for his clients. He has given us excellent advice and taught us skills to help save our marriage. Still a work in progress but absolutely grateful that he has helped us get this far.

To me, Kin is both a therapist and a coach. Yes, he’s easy to talk to and nonjudgmental which makes him a great therapist but he also has the ability to constructively point things out to me, just like a coach would, so I can learn to become a better person, husband, and father. He has such finesse that his feedback seems very genuine and supportive, and it makes me motivated to want to change.Another expectation you can have with Kin is he’ll keep you honest and accountable, again, just like an athletic coach! He keeps it real and simple. For example, he doesn’t just tell you to be more patient with your kids or be a better listener to your partner. Instead, he breaks it down for you so you know exactly what your blind spots are and what you need to do to achieve your goals. He keeps things concrete and practical so you won’t get lost in the abstract. If you need a therapist, especially regarding your relationship, Kin is definitely the right person.

As a colleague, I can tell you that Kin is one of the most dedicated therapists I have met. His clients are so fortunate to have such a personable and professional man to help them. Kin is direct and down-to-earth. When you’re with him, you feel at ease, like he’s tuned in to your frequency and really gets you. I highly recommend Kin.

To say Kin saved our marriage is a fitting statement. He transformed our relationship inside and out. We went from having blow up fights on a daily basis to feeling hope and love. We learned important tools that allowed us to resolve conflicts and better understand each other. Kin has this incredibly calming presence that no matter how hard the conversations become, you get the feeling that he’s this rock you can lean on. There have been numerous occasions where my wife and I would “go at it” in his office. He always managed to masterfully help us understand each other’s point of view in the end. What we really appreciate about his style is that he doesn’t just talk. He would give us homework to think about and practice. He would then build on the homework incrementally so that we could take ownership of the process of getting better. He even told us in our first session with him that he expected us to work really hard and he sure meant it!All in all, Kin is a great caring guy and a brilliant therapist who keeps it real and effective.

What separates Kin from a lot of other therapists is his ability to keep the perfect balance of validating feelings and addressing problems. While many therapists do a good job acknowledging feelings, often times thats all they do and it can get repetitive and annoying. I believe truly effective therapy is also about helping people take ownership of things they can do to make their relationships better or address problematic areas in their lives. My experience with Kin is he does that with such finesse and care that he will not only make you feel better but also do better. When talking to him, it feels more like talking to an old friend whom youve known forever and who will always have your back without any judgment. Overall, Kin is an amazing therapist.
