Lone Star on Old Hwy 1187 is just the best. Hands down. They are so friendly and so courteous from Ana ( front desk)and the therapists ( I had Katy and Kerri) and all the other employees. I just finished 6 months of therapy and rang that dang bell! And my surgeon, Dr John Thomas is just the best!!!! So knowledgeable, kind and so friendly and he doesn’t make you feel like you have to do surgery. He gives you the options and lets you make your own decision. No pressure! I would recommend this clinic to anyone that is looking for excellent care!

Dr. Barragan and his associates let my post-op (removal of bone spur) complications deteriorate, said no therapy would work, and that I should let him replace the whole knuckle because your insurance will pay for it. Nearly two years later: Hand is permanently disfigured and impaired, while another doctor was able to apply therapy and rehab to get most of the use back. The final insult from these people was when they billed insurance for a full-rate office visit for a telemed conference, through which by the way, I had to write my questions on post-it notes because he couldnt figure out how to Zoom in the early days of COVID.

Theyve got to be the busiest doctors office on the planet! No matter what time you call or how many voice-mails you leave, theyre terrible at returning patient calls. It almost seems like their staff is too busy to be bothered with the patients that pay them. Once they decide to call you, its a whole rigamrole before they can see you. To top it all off, theyll wait until the night before, an hour before closing, to tell you that you need to show up with almost $1k to be seen the next day, when youre their very first appointment the next day. At this point, Id rather have to take a long drive to an office who will care then be just a 10 minute drive down the street and give them my very hard earned money.GET BETTER STAFF WHO CARE ABOUT YOUR PATIENTS!

I would give zero stars if possible. I have battled with significant neck pain for last 6-7 years. I have tried physical therapy & chiropractic care both without improvement. Xray that was done in Dr. Ratuszniks office revealed spondylolisthesis, stenosis, & spondylosis. Apparently a MRI makes those things magically disappear. I was dismissed and ignored when I had informed him of prior physical therapy. He was argumentative and dismissive and kept insisting 2 visits with physical therapy would make my pain go away even after I had informed him of my previous physical therapy.

Went in to see my MD (Marti) for follow up to procedure.1. Male nurse came in and did not introduce himself. Asked questions and did measurements.2. Woman came in and did not introduce herself. Asked questions and made vague statements. We finally got out of her that she was a PA for the MD that we went in to see! We paid to see the MD! Finally we came to understand from her that if the pain becomes unbearable again come back to see them. This could have been communicated over the phone! Didnt see the doctor anyway! This whole visit could have been conducted by a five minute phone call.

This establishment does not have an orthopaedic doctor on site to assess a patient. You have to figure out without a road map which part hurts more and hope you pick the correct specialist to see. They treat jigsaw puzzles not people.Response from marketing manager. She is doing what she gets paid to do which was nothing to do with my medical problems or concerns, when a person hurts in multiple places equally. And when you leave a facility without seeing a doctor with the same pain because you cant get past the front desk personnel.

Some woman from this office called my wife in regards to my sons football injury. We spoke to Dr Evans, who was very nice and professional, at the Saturday morning sports clinic, and was ordered to get an MRI. MRI results were sent to Dr Evans, and some rude woman called my wife to set up an appointment, and that it would cost $100-$300, my wife told her we were seeing Dr Evans free of charge at the sports clinic, so she decided to tell my wife, if we dont want to pay for a visit, we should go to JPS, when my wife asked for information about who to see at JPS, she very condescending said I guess the ER, you know they have Doctors in the ER. I wonder if its their policy to be rude and condescending to people with medical issues, who happen to be in financial hardship at the moment. Way to make us feel like pieces of trash in an already stressful financial situation.

After having great experience with Dr. John Thomas with my three meniscus surgeries a couple of years ago, I recommended this facility to my wife for her back pain. Instead of paying the normal $35 Copay that shouldve been charged we had to pay $165 for the first visit and $110 for each visit after that to see Dr. Ratusznik. The reason for the upcharge that i was given was Hes a Specialist and hes allowed to charge more upfront. After the MRI we realized my wife has a herniated disk. We scheduled the surgery, paid the $1K deposit to secure the Dr, and had even already completed our Pre-op visit at Baylor Scott and White only to find out 72 hours before surgery that while Dr. Ratusznik was in our network, his two facilities (Baylor and Hughley) were not in network and that we would have to pay $13k up front on day of surgery. When I called Lonestar to inform them that Baylor called us asking for payment, they were able to verify as well on their end that we were not in network. I feel like someone shouldve seen this before Baylor Scott and White saw it. Meanwhile my wife who is still in severe pain has to now start all over with a brand new doctor. I tried to see about Lonestar providing some kind of pain prescription for her during the meantime. I had to schedule an appointment for next week with their pain Dr. and I got an email this evening with the subject line new patient paper work. We couldnt just carry a file across the hall? Im sure they are also wanting another $100+ in copay to see this Dr. Meanwhile my wife is still in extreme pain. In the beginning of this whole process, I told my wife to pay the upcharge in copay because I was completely sold on Lonestar as the place for her surgery. Unfortunately she has now ended up with an experience that makes us feel like we just visited JPS. Someone in that office dropped the ball big time during this process and my wife is the one who has to suffer the most because of it. No one seems to care that she is in severe pain. Any other Dr or facility wouldve realized their mistake and given her a prescription immediately while the situation was remedied. I recommend you check everything out before going to this facility!

Very uncaring. Showed up for my appointment, but they didn’t have my CT scan from the hospital, so Dr. Ritusnick refused to see me. I had earlier called the hospital to send him my CT scan. They politely refused, saying that they couldn’t send it from a patient request, but would be more than happy to mail it or courier it to the doctor if the office had requested it. Subsequently, I left a message on the doctor’s office VM with the hospital’s nuclear medicine number to call to request the CD. When I showed up at the appointment and asked if they had gotten my message with the hospital’s phone number, the office told me, not politely, that “They didn’t do that,” and I needed to drive downtown to pick the CD up and bring it to them. (???!!) I politely refused; I’m in a lot of pain and I don’t even live near this doctor who was a referral. They wouldn’t make a simple phone call? Pfffft!!!🚫🚫🚫

The worst experience with a any doctor I have ever had. Dr. Ratusznik and his assistant Jamie were rude and in such a hurry they had no time to listen to me. I was told upfront by Jamie that because I was a smoker that they would not perform any procedures. He would only recommend physical therapy. I took my MRI and all the paperwork, was prepared to discuss with him a more permanent solution to my problem. But he would not take the time to study my case. I have degenerative spine, osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis and some other problems that cause severe pain. He informed me that he could see no reason why I would be in that much pain. And he left the room. This may be a case of discrimination?

I saw Dr Werner on a Monday after a fall on Saturday and visit to ER. He said to schedule a CT. The nurses said Huguley or Touchstone. Neither of them had availability till Friday. I scheduled with both luckily since Huguley called to say they needed to reschedule me since their machine was inoperable. That left me with a Touchstone, but their cost was 3x what a Huguley quoted, so I called my insurance who found me Prime for the same price as Huguley on that same Friday. I made my appointment that Friday for the CT. I was unable to join my husband on trip to New York for his mother’s funeral that weekend and there goes my ride for my follow up appointment on Monday with Dr Werner. I called Monday to reschedule before the Wednesday surgery, but to my surprise the non-emphatic Dr Werner said he was no longer comfortable seeing me as his patient due to my missed follow ups. I asked what missed follow ups, today? The nurse said she was only the messenger and the surgery was cancelled. So I was left with starting over after 1.5 weeks of a broken foot in 3 places without remorse. I would not recommend Dr Werner at all. And if you google him and watch his video, his statements of helping others goes totally against what I experienced.

I would have chosen 0 stars but it wasnt an option. I have a genetic disorder that contributes to some intense pain. I went to LSO to discuss this with a doctor. I was asked some very cursory questions by a nurse rushed through x-ray speedy quick and then the doctor was in promotly to see me. This efficient service would have impressed me if it werent for the fact that the Dr. seemed to not listen to me at all, he seemed completely disinterested in my pre-existing condition, and generally treated me as though I were an inconvenience in his busy schedule. He then rushed me out the door feeling frustrated and angry with what is proving to be a very temporary treatment to a somewhat large and continuous problem. This visit reflected the priority that our health system places on $ vs. Quality of care. I will be seeking a second opinion from someone with more compassion, experience, and a genuine interest in the health of their patients.
