Dr Retamozo has been my Dr for 6 yrs. I wouldn’t think of changing my primary doctor.. He’s personable and doesn’t rush me out of his office. He answers any questions I might have and his office calls me immediately if I’ve been to the ER or had labs from other Drs to inquire if I need a follow up with him..Dr R was the first to send me for a doppler test suspecting I had a blood clot. He instructed me to go straight to the hospital if I did and have the emergency room call him to admit me. i was admitted to the hospital.I’m really surprised at the reviews but scheduling and protocol because of covid has made it difficult to get in to see any doctor. I saw the nurse practitioner and Dr R for virtual visits when covid screening made it hard to get in. Things are just now returning to normal.

I scheduled an appointment to see doctor Retamozo for 5 days after I wanted to, otherwise I had to see his NP. The night before my appointment, without a call/warning, I was rescheduled from morning appointment to an evening virtual appointment, which I couldn’t accommodate due to my kids. When I called to see why, I was told I needed to have a COVID test result of negative before I could visit the office. 😤... it didn’t matter if I waited 14 days or a whole month, they wanted a test done. Staff was very uncooperative and it didn’t matter how bad I was feeling. So sad good doctors ruin their practices with unprofessional staff. I ended up seeing Dr Escamilla, without any of these struggles. She was so much easier, better, and targeted my health problems without additional struggles.

Ive never met Dr. R . Ive only seen Sheila the NP twice. She was very nice but I was there the first time for my yearly exam. She never examined me just talked to me and gave me referrals. Then the office charged me for an office visit for asking about my back. My second visit I went in and asked about the charge from last time she just told me thats the way she coded it. I payed another office visit to actually hear about coding and her to tell me to find a new provider since I wasnt happy. So I leave with my hand still throbbing and feet hurting. I mentioned them to her but it was clear she didnt want to hear about it. What happened to Dr offices actually caring about their patients? I would not refer this office to anyone even though they are nice.

Horrible experience with the front desk. I have heard wonderful things about Dr. Retamozo and the front desk ruined it all for me. Very rude and belittling.

Dr is amazing and staff is very customer oriented
