My husband and I love this place. I havent felt this safe with my health and well being in a long time. The nurses, doctor, and staff really do care about their patients. They are worth the wait. Ive always made appointments and havent had to wait long for treatment. We are always going to go here for our health needs!

I recently came here with my daughter for a check up. I was really impressed with the facility, the short wait time and the doctor we saw. First, the facility was clean and looked modern, thats important to me. Second, we barely waited at all. I was shocked when they called our name so fast. And third, the doctor was really friendly and great with my daughter. It made her feel comfortable. We were looking for a new family practice and I think we found one.

Dr. Nelon is great, Nurses and Staff too. They listen to you and take care of your needs. Everyone is caring, very nice and understanding to your needs. I have never had a bad experience at any of my appointments.

My mother and I have been waiting since 8am for someone to help us. It is now almost 9am and still nobody has visited our room. This place definitely deserves no stars if I could.

I was a walk in today. I expected to wait as I was a walk in. I got lucky not a long wait. There was an insurance issue at first but the front desk listened to me instead of fighting and we got that fixed. The MA’s were friendly when they did the intake. The doctor was friendly but most importantly competent. He used a step wise approach which I appreciated. Then treated aggressively which needed to happen. Then God bless him he gave me medicine to calm the most horrible symptom. Which also afforded me to be able to sleep. Very thankful for my visit today. All the staff were awesome!

Dr Nealon and his office staff were wonderful and friendly and helpful. They were quickly able to help me. They seem to provide many different services that could be very useful.

Well, I was there in July ( a walk in) and after 2 1/2 hours, I made an appointment for a Thurs and left. I was told on the appointment day the wait would only be about 15 minutes. I went for the appointment and after 2HOURS, I left once again! Today, I was at the office at 7:15 am because I wanted to be the first walk in at 8:00...THE OFFICE DID NOT OPEN!!! Are you kidding me??? The website said it was open... the message when I called said they were opening @ 8am...What is going on? I cannot believe this! The staff is great. No complaints about that but this is crazy!! In the past, this office would have gotten 5 stars but NOT LATELY. Terrible...

The wait is usually long, but they accept walk-ins so you get to be seen that day. Most places only take appointments. The front staff will take your phone number (sometimes you have to ask) and allow you to leave and will call you when your turn is up. The doctors are all knowledgeable and the nurses and office staff are friendly.

I have been a patient for years and I really like going to Burleson Family Medical Center. They have a friendly staff and provide good quality care. The nurses are really helpful and the front staff make the check-in and check-out process really simple and easy!

I’ve never had an issue with any of the staff except Ruth. Every time I come in and have a balance she’s very rude about the money. I realize some intentionally avoid medical bills but not everyone. All the other MAs and doctors are great just avoid Ruth I guess.

I had a appointment @2 and set in the waiting room 1hour and 15 minutes while others who had come in after me were called back.once I went into a room I set over and hour.I came in for insomnia .Treated horrible .treated me like a drug addict and then tried to get me to go take a sleep test that I assume to makeMore money !As I left I told them I would NEVER be back! Dont waste your time.Find a doctor and staff that know what they are doing.I Strongly advise going elsewhere

First n foremost all of you who holler about wait time go to the hospital,than you’ll really have a pleasant experience.So quit you’re whining!Dr. Nelon n his staff are well worth the wait (5-10 minutes).They are deeply concerned about your health n wellbeing.That handle bar mustache was a dead giveaway,I found myself a country Dr. n that’s what we need more of.He’s not rushing you in or out n concerns himself with issues he would otherwise not have to.He n his staff of wonderful nurses are patient n very thorough.Hell I believe they might take a chicken or rooster in trade for a visit.Just kidding your all great.My family and I ThANK YOU ALL N WISH YOU THE BEST OF HEALTH you’ve been well worth my 5-10 minute wait.Keep up the great work.

When I am in the office have no issues. They are nice. My issues have been in the after care. If I dont stay on top of them I dont seem to get the referrals needed even after stopping in to leave a message or calling and leaving messages for the referral nurse since I am usually busy during the work day and cant get to talk to her while she is still there. Took me a month and a half to get a referral. Hopefully this time I will get my needed referral.

Worst experience ever. I have never walked out of a doctors office before..no matter how long the wait. I needed to see a doctor because I was having trouble with asthma. My primary no longer practices in Burleson, so I had to find a new one. When I went to sign in, I was told that they did not have me scheduled for an appointment and if I was sure I had the correct office. I had to pull up my call history on my phone to prove I did call for an appointment two days ago and it was the correct facility. The girl went to the back and I heard her complaining to another girl about someone not scheduling my appointment. She came back and told me I can go ahead and sign in. I asked her would it be a long wait as Im not on the schedule. She assured me the wait would not be long. I filled out the forms and made my payment. After sitting in the waiting room for and hour and watching two patients admitted before me, I asked for a refund.The front office personnel could care less why I was leaving. I get the impression that these girls are just here to collect a paycheck. Theres no accountability from the front office. The only excitement I saw was when one of the girls brought back fried chicken from Babes for lunch. I figured I can go to Care Now to get my immediate problem taken care of, then take my time to find a better, more professional office.

I love the doctors. They are friendly and really seem to care but I brought my 78 year old Father-In-Law in this morning for fasting blood work at 8am and we didnt leave until 11am. Hes been using Dr. Thomas (who retired two months ago) for over 20 years, but we will have to move on now, too.

I would have said no stars, for the past several months the physician assistants dont listen and seem to give the run around. I wasnt even treatable since my blood pressure was too high. Well I left and proceeded to go to my old doctors building and was able to get treated without issue.

Walked in due to being very sick. They didnt tell me that the walk-in wait was going to be 3 hours until I asked them after waiting for 1.5 hours. Wish that they would have communicated more about the wait.

My overall comfort level during each office visit is always very relaxed and very much at ease. They really do know how to make you feel as comfortable as possible.

They call you by first name, they treat you like family. They are always very concerned about your well being and your health. They dont treat you like a co-pay. I would recommend them to anyone.

I have nothing but positives to say about my experience here! The quality of care is truly the best that I would say it is the best in town. Overall the front staff, nurses and PAs are amazingly patient, kind, and thorough. Cant thank them enough for everything they have done for me and my family.

They are very accommodating. Ive been going here for years. If Im working out of town and I need a prescription filled they will go ahead and call in that prescription for a months supply.

After nearly 5 hours I still havent been seen. I understand that I did not have an appointment... but after speaking with the receptionist (before driving to the office) she clarified they would be able to see walk ins. I showed up at 10:30 filled out my paper work and they processed payment for my copay before 11... now after 3 pm I still havent been seen. If they are unable to handle the flow of appointment in a timely manner they should definitely not advise patients that they would be able to be seen as a walk in. At this point my main frustration is that I was not advised at time of filling out paper work that the wait would be this long.they waited till after they processed my payment to notify me that there would be a 2 hour wait. Now I have wasted the majority of my day and still have not been treated for anything and have no time to walk in to another office

The staff and physicians are great. They take the time to talk with you....BUT i feel they’re a little disorganized, and don’t feel it’s a coincidence. I have been coming to this clinic for a little over a year for multiple ailments, and have never been to an office as many times with a dissatisfaction about the wait every single time. Forget about getting in and out. Even with appointments and getting here early, I never wait under an hour (often times longer) before getting called back. PLUS it always takes additional 15-30 mins before actually seeing the doctor!! It’s too bad that I’ll be on the hunt for new pcp because I really like the doctor.

The date is 6/17/16 I got here at 9 (walk in), called care now at 11:15 because I have yet to be seen. I left here and went to care now at 11:30 because they were able to see me first. The only reason I came here in the first place is because months ago I walked in at 12 and they said it would be 2 hours, at 3 they told me there was 2 people ahead of me. They told me that there was 2 people ahead of me again at 5, 7, and 8. So I canceled and had credit. I will never come here again. The staff is nice and the Doctors are helpful, but sitting in a waiting room for hours on end while you are throwing up is ridiculous.

Never took my vital signs. doctor pretty much did not have any compassion. then was rushed out of the door without any paperwork. dont go here I never will again

If you want to say you have walked out of a doctors office before go to this place. HORRIBLE!!!! Went to get a physical the had some nurse...oh wait not a nurse some women in scrubs that was going to give me a physical. She was horrible did not have clue what she was doing. She tried to give me a hearing test but I could not hear the beeping because she was pushing buttons. I told her that all I could hear was her moving around and she stormed out and started running her mouth to the other nurses. Go here if you want terrible service and no professional courtesy. The people that work there are just people pulled off the street for a daily job and have ZERO education. The only good thing that came out was the refund they gave me back. Disgusting place do not go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Waited over 3 and a half hours to be seen today. Every other time ive been in i have always had to wait multiple hours. All i needed was a prescription refill.

Our family has been using Burleson Family Medical Center since their doors opened. The care from Dr. Nelon and his staff has never been anything but first class. They always take the time to diagnose and treat any illness or injury. We have consistently been seen in a timely manner with our appointment times or emergency walk-ins. I trust my familys care to Dr. Nelon and his staff.

The physicians assistant Paula is amazing and wonderful! I havent been in a few months and it seemed like there was some new staff and a new lady up front who is much nicer than others in the past.

My dad went into your clinic for what we found out was a stroke. The doctor there told my mom he might be having a stroke and the doctor sent him HOME!!! At the time we didnt realize that the doctor should have made him go the ER. The doctor(It was Dr. Nelon!) said to come back for an MRI the next day. Because of his incompetent my dad DIED! If this supposed doctor would have follow the right course my dad would have lived!

Ive been going here since they were where the Elk Diner is now. At one time there were no appointments at all; however, they had beepers they would give you and you would be beeped when approx. 30 you would be seen. Then, they went to cell phone notification.Yes, the wait was mostly long, but you knew it would be. Then, the appointment system along. One of my problems with that was, if you were really sick, i.e. flu, cold, pneumonia, and it was severe, it might take several days (In some cases two weeks) to get an appointment. A lot of the time, you would be dead or over whatever it was by the time your appointment would be scheduled.I have only had a problem with staff a couple of times. Cant remember the first problem, but the second had to do with a refill. I had asked for the refill at the pharmacy. The pharmacy faxed the request to the Dr. office. I kept asking about the Rx for a week and the pharmacy told me the office had not called back. I called the office and left a message that it was an absolute need medication. I got a call back from the Dr. office telling me that I needed blood work done first. I was told that all patients know they have to have blood work each 6 months. I had never been told that in all the years (around 25?) I had gone there. No one called me to tell me that I would need the work done first. It was assumed that I knew that.I see a lot of I didnt have an appointment comments. If you were to go to any other Dr. who is on an appointment system, you would be worked in when they could do so. The wait would probably be longer since the majority of their patients have an appointment. There are times when you might have an appointment and wait longer. But we all know from past experience that that is the way it is sometimes at a Dr. office.When I go to the BFMC,I have an appointment and I take a laundry list of symptoms. I dont go for only one symptom. I make a list of what I need to ask the Dr. about. Sometimes my visit is longer than at other times. In all, I am pleased with my care at BFMC. The nurses, Veronica and Amy, to name only two, because I cant remember all their names, are nice, friendly and understanding. The office staff is great. If I have a question, they dont mind speaking with me. If I could give them more that 5 stars, I would.

Dr. Nelon provides excellent patient focused care and takes time to carefully explain his decisions when it comes to your health. Their staff is friendly and has always treated me like family.

The doctors really take not only the time to see you but, to actually listen to you! They make sure they give you all the help for the issue at hand which I really appreciate.

God forbid you EVER have to have a walk-in... You better clear the remainder of your plans for the day because that cold waiting room will be your new best friend. It was only after waiting AN HOUR in a near vacant waiting area that I asked to use the bathroom, only to hope the receptionist would remember me and inform me that they had made a mistake and skipped over me... But no. Upon stepping through the door to the back I go to the bathroom to see a group of clerks in a side room in a circle chit-chatting, out of view from the waiting room. Then, when walking farther back, you see nurses leaning on counters on their phones and seemingly hanging out. All I came in for was a mere allergy shot and ended up waiting over an hour FOR NOTHING. Needless to say I left after that, annoyed. So all I can say is good luck and patience is a virtue but As for me, I aint got time for that!

I always receive the best care each time I go here. The doctors are excellent and the rest of the staff are wonderful as well.

They are only there for the money, Ive gone here for walk-in convenience, but the people here ate going to charge your insurance every ridiculous way they can. Questioned them about it and they said ..well it is a monetary buisiness

It would have been nice to be informed ahead of time of the big increase in price. 65 to 90 is a big jump for cash pay pre existing patients.

Visit the clinic on a vacation trip was the worse medical experience ever to begin we waited 2 hrs an 30 min to get in the back . Came to find out they miss up my husband name they ook another person with my husbands name to the back. another thing they took vitals they never came back to check on him we could hear outside just talking away the lack of professionalism its outrageous they dont even deserve that one star. We got out of this place you call medical clinic after 5 hrs later dont recommend this place not even to my worse enemy

BFMC is my goto place for illnesses and minor injuries, they accept walk-ins and are very reasonable if ya dont have insurance ... I have been using them for years and always satisfied...

Came in for lab results and the doctor i saw made the visit very uncomfortable by bring up past visits and asking me if id had been naughty. Thought that was just a little unprofessional and made the vist awkward for me. It made me not want to come back to this office.

Some of the staff is very rude and condescending. I was told by Dr. Nelon that they could take care of my eczema and to come in for allergy testing only to send it out to a 3rd party lab thats not in network with my insurance. Also I wasnt told about the almost $20 injection every week. If youre going to offer service make sure your patients know what costs could possibly pop up because me getting a bill from someone I have never heard of for over $14,000 is very shocking. Also I was told by them to do a genetic test for cancer that insurance covers it 100%, well they dont. One final thing when I go in for my allergy shots I was told it would be a quick in and out. On average I spend 45 minutes of what little time I have on my shots. Sometimes the person at the desk will forget to check me in for allergy shots and will check me in as a walk in. And other times its literally a 15-20 minute wait to get called back for my shot then the 10 minute wait to make sure I dont have a reaction. I like Dr. Nelon but I dont like being decieved.

The doctor was nice and tried to be helpful, the nurse staff I dealt with that day were also nice. I was told when I called at 2pm that an appt for urgentcare/walkin had a wait time of 1.5 hrs. I got there 20 min later.Long story short I wasnt seen until 6pm...whereupon by this time my foot was so swollen and painful I couldnt walk and began crying, so they had to get a wheelchair.I didnt leave until 740pm. As if that wasnt bad enough, the pain meds didnt touch the pain or even make me drowsy so I could sleep. I called first thing this am to see if they could give me an alternative, not stronger, just something different in hopes to get rid of the pain as I flatout still cant walk. The employee told me Dr. was not there and shed leave him a note for tomorrow. I said I cant wait that long...I am a caregiver for my parent who has , I need relief so I can take care of my mom. I said I didnt understand why I waited 6 hrs for urgent medical care only to be told now I have to wait another 24 hrs or more to get pain relief. She began to get rude and sarcastic, thanking me for chewing her out and taking it out on her. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL. I was courteous and did not raise my voice, simply a patient needing help. She does not need to be in that job if she cannot be empathetic to her patients and professional. I was surprised at how she spoke to me, seriously. The matter will doubtfully get resolved and I wasted my money. I could have gone to the county hospital for free and waited 6 hrs if I wanted to be treated nastily. I will not go back for certain. They need to change their patient load as far as accepting urgentcare/walkins if they are already booked with appts.

Three separate occasions we waited over two hours. Today, it was just too much. I like the female doctor there, but the unprofessionalism of the staff here is unforgivable. Will never ever go back

I have been a patient here for about 4 or 5 years now. I see Dr. Murphy, she is great and the check in and check out process is always on time as scheduled.

Waited for ever and theyre not that busy. Would not recommend any one to go there unless you want to waist the day away. On top of that they lost my paper work. They will not have the Dr. that took my paperwork call me back. Very irritated.

Terrible I got here at 4:00 and now it is 7:35 and I am just getting called back to see someone now its 8:00 and I havent even seen a doctor yet and I can hear them bsing out there and they charge you ahead of time for the copayment so you have to wait never coming back here again and grammar nazis I know theres no periods

Long wait but that was expected from previous experience. Real problem was very high priced medication that was prescribed for high blood pressure instead of low or moderate priced medication available.

The waiting time gets longer each time we go, 4 hours last time.
