I was recommended by a friend here in California. And my girl did good there. Had no problems with her going with them. Took her out for a day on the river and then took her back and she was so excited to go back. The associates there were very friendly and good with pets

I love taking my dog, Eva, to Risen Star. She is always well taken care of and the same happy dog when I drop her off to when I pick her up. The owners are absolutely wonderful as well as the staff. They really do love your pet just as their own. I cannot say enough about this great place!

Over all, very pleased.I made an appointment to have a friends husky groomed here. I use to work at risen star, back when Lori owned it and even looked into employment after the new owners took over, as Lori is the ultimate reason why I had left.. I know the groom room set up, I know the cameras they have I place and felt confident that this was the only place in town I would ever consider having my dog groome, or anyone elses.. Mind you, this husky is two years old, wasnt socialized properly and doesnt care for new people. I had them take note of this when making the appointment.Long story short, she came back half groomed, (at NO fault to the groomer) as I wasnt entirely sure the husky would take to being professionally groomed, but figured since it needed to be done, they where the only place worth taking her too to find out.So unfortunately she didnt get fully groomed, but we where still charged the full groom. This didnt bother us to terribly. Shortly after, the owner himself called us to inform us we shouldnt have been charged, refunded the money. Over all, they did their absolute best with what they could, considering this huskies lack of proper training and socialization. I love this facility.

We love Risen Star, but most importantly our Rylee loves them. Its a great feeling as a pet owner to have your pet be excited to go to be cared for by a Kennel. As soon as we turn into the parking lot, Rylee is ready to head for the office. And its really nice for me that before I even check in that the young lady at the desk says hi Rylee! And then when the handler from the back comes to get him, he says Hi Rylee too! So our pets are not a business for Risen Star, our furr babies are their clients and friends. I cannot express how much of a comfort and relief to leave our sweet 12 year lab Rylee with Risen Star......Also I would pay any price for this kind of treatment and care for Rylee, but fortunately their prices are excellent as well.

This was our pups second visit and he came home happy both times! Front desk staff was super nice and made our boy feel welcome.

Had a meeting to talk about dog training and just in the 30 mins or it may have been more, we got a lot of inside and was referred to Let Dogs BE Dogs By The Monks of Seke which I be ged in last night which opened my eyes up big time. THE OWNER Dave and wife was very pleasant ☆☆☆☆☆ we will be back and get lessons going once shots are current to pup!

Great friendly staff whose love of pets shows. We have been taking our dogs there for boarding and each time we arrive their tails start wagging and they start whining in excitement. Once out of the car, they start pulling us along to the office entrance. We feel at ease leaving our little fur kids because we know they are with loving, caring pet lovers.

This place was amazing. They took such good Care of our fur baby Bash. We have left him at another kennel once for 3 days and when we got him back he had lost a lot of weight from not eating and being left in a kennel all day. This place really took care of him and when we picked him up after 5 days he was happy and playful, not depressed like the last place we left him at. We definitely plan on using them again! Thank you to the front desk girl (Aubrey?) And the gentleman who i beleive was the owner (and ex police officer) for making us feel so comfortable with leaving Bash there and taking such good care of him!!!

I recently had to board my dogs for the first time. Needless to say, I was very nervous. I am so happy to say that they were VERY well taken care of. I called every day to check on them and they gave me a detailed report on how they were doing. When we come back to the river and if I need to board my babies, I will definitely be back!

Nice staff checked him in. My cat stayed unexpectedly a few days longer than planned. I called almost daily to check on him and talked to the nice girls who cared for him. On the last day, day 5, I was called by a man, apparently an owner, who threatened me with criminal charges for “abandonment “ of my ESA therapy pet. I was horrified of what this man may do to my poor innocent cat so needless to say I picked him up within an hour or so. He was fine, in good health but definitely would not use this place again due to the man (who called from a California area code).

This is the best place to board your dog. The staff are loving and caring and very knowledgeable. My baby loves going here which makes it so much easier to leave her when need be. Very affordable too. I cant say enough good things about them. Highly recommended.

I had been a loyal local for years. When they changed owners my dog still needed grooming and they did a great job. 12/07/19 I decided to take my new puppy in for Daycare. As a Casino Employee I needed to drop him off just before 7AM. There was an attendant there at 6:00 AM. I was informed that they had strict rules; opened at 8:00AM and no exceptions made. These folks obviously do not cater to local needs as before. They will not see my dogs nor me again. Sad Day for Locals and a New Business.

Great customer service! I was really worried about boarding my cat, but she was okay! She was so confident when we got back home that I know she felt comfortable at the kennel. Aubrey even knew who I was there to pick up and we had only spoken once when I dropped Dot off. Would definitely use this facility again!

So hot out had to leave our cat for a few hours while we job hunted. They require shots be up to date which we appreciate. Upon picking her up she was in good spirits. And the price is very reasonable. Will use them again.

Easy to find. Very calm people that work there. Our two boys were happy to be there. Actually get to be outside and also roomy kennel inside. Everyone was so nice and good to the dogs.Clean and set up for keeping your kids safe and happy.

Not so happy. Left my babies for 3 days. When I picked them up I was given their food container back full. I had given them an extra can of wet food just in case they ran out of their regular food. For 3 days they were fed a 13 oz can between the 2 of them. Luckily I had fed them before dropping off and left a container of kibble to free feed. I assume they ate all the kibble as it was returned empty. The feeding instructions were explicit on the computer. Don’t know if I would use them again. Also you might check on their air conditioning in the kennel area.

Very clean. Even smelled good in the large dog area. Staff friendly and the prices are crazy good. $5 for daycare and $15 for overnight. What?! Loved this place and my dog was happy to go back 3 days in a row!

Everyone is friendly and helpful. My dog is doing training there but my animals have boarded there too. The people are great with the animals and people!

My dogs go there for a mini vacation,when we are in Bullhead or Laughlin. So far this is the nicest kennel our babies have been in the staff is so accommodating. Nothing like the best for our dogs.

Weve used Risen Star Kennels since they opened approximately 20 years ago. Under new ownership but still very fair rates and would recommend to anyone.

Best dog groomer in town!!! Took them a few pictures of how I wanted my maltese and for once she was perfect!!! Take our Maltese and mini schnauzer there and they always turn out perfect

We have had nothing but fabulous experiences in the 11 years that our dogs have been lodging at Risen Star Kennel. Every time our dogs visit they receive excellent care and attention and are handled professionally. Lori genuinely cares about each guest and has their best interest at heart.This last experience speaks volumes to the way Lori, and her entire staff care for their visitors. We happen to live a good 5 hours away, it is a long drive with two dogs, (one being a senior dog) and two kids under the age of 4. Unfortunately, this trip took a toll on our older, larger German Shepherd, Wyatt. When we arrived at Risen Star, Wyatt was not in good condition, he was hot, and panting furiously. Loris staff immediately sprang into action and put Wyatt in a large grooming tub to cool him off. Due to the time of arrival and it being a Sunday, vet options were limited and too far away. Lori allowed us, and her staff to care for Wyatt. She supplied us with needed supplies and allowed Wyatt access to the office till his condition improved. She even offered to let us stay the night to watch him. Once Wyatts condition improved, we both decided that he would be OK to stay the night. Lori kept a close eye on him and called us with updates. Her staff continued this same courtesy throughout the duration of Wyatts stay.We are so thankful for the generosity, accommodations, and genuine care our dog, and dogs have received from this facility. Thank you Lori, and all of your hard working staff. We will continue to bring our dogs here to stay, and know they are in loving hands.ps,our little Westie was also a visitor on this same trip and he was given a complimentary grooming before his departure day.

My dog gets nervous around new people. I told the groomer this and my dog Lilee was hesitant at first to go with her. When i came to pick her up 2hours later, the groomer and Lilee were good. Outstanding job on her grooming what i asked to be do was done in a very professional manor . i will forever bring my dog to them.

Amazing facility

Ive kenneled my dog Solara at this Risen Star three times. The first time seemed OK, the staff were friendly and it seemed like a positive experience. The second time, after I picked up Solara I could tell something was wrong and I took her to her vet and learned that she was dehydrated and required re-hydration by her vet. The third time, once again, she was returned to me dehydrated! Also, I always bag up Solaras food in individual bags for each meal shell need, along with a milkbone for after her meals, and give the kennel specific instructions regarding her feeding. The third stay, she was going to be there for FOUR meals. When I picked her up, they gave me THREE bags back!! In other words, they only fed her ONCE in a two night visit!!!! Between that and obviously not keeping her properly watered, you can bet she will never stay in that hell hole again!!!
