I chose this practice specifically due to one of the therapists having experience in a certain issue that my child was experiencing. They had three virtual sessions, and the therapist never showed up for the fourth session - my child sat in the virtual waiting room for 15 minutes. I called and spoke with a receptionist the same day and left a message for the therapist to get back with me, and called again a few days later and spoke with the receptionist again. That was about 5 weeks ago.I STILL have not heard back from the therapist. The therapist barely established a rapport with my child before dropping off the face of the earth. How do you explain that to a child who simply wants someone to talk to? Very unprofessional. I should have paid more attention to all the negative reviews prior to choosing this practice. Save your time and look elsewhere. I wish I had.

Very disappointed with the service we continue to receive here. Our last appointment with Dr. B was a 3 minute call. Yes... a 3 minute call, we were supposed to have a virtual visit and out of nowhere we received a call from the doctor and after speaking with us for 3 minutes the appointment was done. Very difficult to get appointments, the office staff is not very helpful. Today I called to get an appointment with the Dr. with a concern about a recent change in medication and was told we already had an appointment scheduled for December ( over a month away) and that the Dr. could not fit us in. We have to wait over a month to get the medication adjusted. I dont understand how a Doctor can manage a patients medications this way.We waited 3 months for our first appointment and I can say it was not worth the wait. Find another Doctor, specially if you dealing with minors.

Do not waste your time, Dr. B is wonderful but the office is the worst I have ever experienced. They do not answer the phone and do not return calls, this seems to be an ongoing trend reading other reviews. They do not care about patient well being and will ignore the phone. Office manager is a joke along with the girl answering phones. Even calling other offices they knew exactly which office I had a problem with before even telling them.

Ms Dada, a nurse practitioner in the Alpharetta, Georgia office, was very nice and personable. I felt that we had a good telehealth visit and that all of my concerns were answered. It was a positive experience and I will continue to remain a patient.

I just want to say that I have been to the offices in Dacula, Dawsonville, and Buford and I’m always treated with the upmost respect and care no matter where I end up. I never liked seeing doctors before I discovered Jydes, especially for my severe panic attacks, insomnia, and depression, because the answers are always different yet somehow still vague. I never felt I was taken seriously. Jydes has changed my jaded perception on seeking help and I am blessed to have these amazing people in my corner. From the psychiatrists to the front desk, you all do a great job and have my sincere gratitude. Thank you so much to my doctor, Trish and the entire Jydes team !Christopher “Shaun” Moore

Please read the reviews before scheduling an appointment if you value your time and money.Disorganized, unprofessional, disrespectful. They mislead you into making an appointment so they can steal your money and leave you feeling helpless and insignificant. How you are spoken to and acknowledged during your appointments (which are over the phone and they will make sure to be late) are borderline reprehensible. Specialists are not even properly educated on medications they try to prescribe you. embarrassing.please seek treatment elsewhere if you intend to be properly cared for. Do not make the mistake I made by ignoring the reviews.Easy money for them from me at the cost of my well being. despicable.

My family and I have been trying to get in touch with this office for the past few months. We cant get in touch with anyone about my son emotional disturbances. I am going to have to find another place that can help my son. I get that there is COVID, but with the path that my son is going down, I need in-person services.

Ended up having to reach out to his pediatrician. I get that there is COVID, but then please provide an email or some other way to get in touch with the office. All mailboxes are full.

My son has been going here for years. The Doctors are awesome, but I believe something is going on with the Medical assistants that run the office and takes care of the prior authorizations. My son is autistic and I’ve been waiting for months for the office to call my insurance for a PA and they have not did it. I been in contact with my insurance company and there’s nothing they can do until the office call them. I’ve tried two times to get a PA for the same medication this year. The first time was in February/March. The office did nothing. The only reason my son got his medication is because the insurance changed and they approved it without PA for the first time and they wrote me a letter saying the next time they would have to do PA. School was let out due to COVID so I didn’t really need the meds at home with me so I thought. Ok so now we’ve had summer break and it’s time to start back school. I was like since I’m keeping him home maybe we can try again without the medication. It’s not working so I call for an appointment. I get the appointment in September. They prescribe medication I’ve been waiting for a PA since then and it’s now middle of November. I even had a follow up appointment with the Doctor in Oct. she tried to contact the assistant herself and I still haven’t heard anything back. I just need them to call the insurance. My insurance company has called and faxed papers to try and make it easier for them. You can’t even leave messages for the lady that handles the PA anymore. This is awful and my son is struggling academically as a result of this.

Been going to them about a year since covid hit. You cannot get ahold of main office, good luck leaving a message no one calls you back and most the time the medical/nurse line voicemail is full. When have phone appointment with doctor they dont send over medication after say will send it electronically. My child now has had several lapses in medication due to their errors. Kia the councilor is only reason have stayed with them she is only thing decent about this office or would give negative stars. Would highly find another clinic if looking for psychiatrist and councilor combo office.

DONT COME HERE!! My child was prescribed medication that he had concerning side effects to. Its nearly impossible to get a hold of someone from the office. Called as soon as the office opened and voicemail box is full so you can NEVER leave a voicemail. Had someone finally call back, which was not a medical staff so they couldnt answer any of my questions about the medication that was prescribed to my 4 YEAR OLD. All she said was to Wait for the appt with the doctor which wasnt for another 2 weeks. When the apt came I told the doctor, Dr. Abiola H Babalakin, everything that happened. How its impossible to get ahold of someone. and you know what she said? ITS BEST TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE BECAUSE I DONT WANT TO STRESS MYSELF OUT OVER THE WORK LOAD Never in my life have I seen a doctor act this way!! Thats SO dangerous when you cant get ahold of anyone at the office regarding medication that they prescribed. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

We have been going here for almost 6 months now. My son is 8, and he sees MJ. Sometimes, his appointments are just short of 30 minutes, but, my son gets so much from her, I dont mind it. After reading the other reviews, I have never had any of the issues they speak of. The front desk staff is always kind and I never have a problem with scheduling an appointment. My sons therapist does not push medication. She actually recommended a vitamin supplement to help with ADHD symptoms. She works with the parents on support at home and is very informative. We love her!

The counselor who saw my son was great. The office made me feel like all they care about is getting their fee. It was more than awkward, I actually felt that they were aggressive about it. And in addition, I was assured that they would explore the requirements of my insurance before his visit and they would handle everything. It was grossly mismanaged and I didnt even know to intervene until after the second visit. After receiving billing instructions from my insurance company, I sent the info via email as the practice manager (office manager?) requested. The billing office denied ever getting the email and I was informed after the next time the office appointment scheduler demanded the session fee that the practice will not bill my insurance company using the code provided to them days earlier. Worst of all, they reduced my sons therapy session by the time it took the office person to ask the billing person about the insurance (which Id provided days before). Please stop being so concerned about money. It makes it look like your practice doesnt care about helping people.

I hate seeing all these negative comments about the practice especially since most of them are about not knowing. They offer medication management as well as therapy. Medication management appointments are 15 mins. It is plenty of time to discuss whether or not the medications are working. They are the ones you need to talk to about starting therapy. The urine test is to ensure that you are TAKING your medication. Appointments are schedule in 3 month increments and 1 month if a new medication is started. Therapy are 30 mins sessions and you are able to schedule how ofter you want to bring your child in. And yes they recommend that you schedule in advance with the “popular” therapist and popular times. They do not offer after care hours. They will give you information on what to do after hours. On the insurance they are not able to file incorrect procedure codes. Yes those codes are different for different insurances but don’t expect them to fudge anything, thats their butt on the line. If your just starting the process you are the one who needs to ask questions. You need to know about your insurance. And yes there is a same day cancellation fee. Thats standard with most practices. I am guilty of having to pay it a few times. I hope this review helps answer some questions. P.S. All three of my kids as well as myself see them for medication management and therapy.

They are very friendly at first, and they make you feel like theyre going to provide you with the best care. You leave there feeling like youve finally found a doctor that cares, but that feeling will go away pretty quickly. You never see the doctor, only the nurse practitioner. When you need anything, you have to schedule an appointment and wait anywhere from a week to two months before you get to see anyone, and then if you just need to get a prescription for a medicine youve already been taking you have to make an appointment, wait forever to see them, and then pee in a cup when you get there. Any time you ask for medicine youre treated like they assume you might have some kind of addiction and are just looking to either get a fix or get some pills to sell. If you run out of a medicine that youve already been taking for years, youre out of luck. Call and schedule an appointment and wait two weeks or two months. If you cant wait that long, go to the emergency room. Thats their advice even when stopping the meds cold turkey is dangerous enough to be potentially fatal. They dont care about their patients. You will never be able to call and speak to the doctor or the nurse practitioners. Youll have to leave a message, and they will never call you back. NEVER. If you call them to ask about it they just act like youre an annoyance.

They do not offer Psychotherapy, but they will give you countless pills and rush you out the door. As there are not a lot of options in the area for child psychiatry if your child is not 13 years of age, we ended up here. Upon becoming a new client, I was not pleased. The office staff treats you like youre privileged to be allowed to come in. Their providers only work standard business hours, so the more patients they take on, the less opportunity you have to have your child seen. In the beginning, it wasnt too bad, 3 weeks out when we started coming maybe 18 months ago. Now, oh honey youre not getting in with a psychiatrist for 60-75 days. They recommend you schedule a series of appointments at one time to combat this. I recommend they stop accepting copious amounts of patiences so they can focus on the needs of their current clients better. AND ON THAT NOTE, Ive come to understand that most psychiatrists schedule 15 minute appointments on average for medication management. I specifically asked for a therapy appointment with their psychiatrist. The office staff did everything possible to deture us from scheduling anything of the sort. She doesnt usually schedule those and youll have to come in and explain why you need one and she will decide if she will schedule one with you. Excuse me, but Psychiatry is not just medication, you need to actually understand context, situations, and the patients mind and needs. In our 18 months at this place, they never scheduled a single Psychotherapy session with us, despite my many requests. There is little understanding of the illness my son is experiencing on a daily basis by this team simply because they arent collecting any information on it.

Both appointments have been less than 20 minutes and I’ve paid close to $200 after my insurance has paid part of it and not one time has my son felt he has received any sort of help. Im not sure what their therapy schedule is but I can’t afford $90 per 20 minutes. Front desk receptionist isn’t wonderful. We were 15 minutes late because of traffic, they refused to answer the phone. When we arrived she stated our appointment was 15 minutes ago....ok....your point? I’m paying for the full hour, she’s sitting back there with no one...so what’s your point. Her point....to let me know I’m late. Bye bye bye. No time for this child’s play.
