I’ve been getting serviced with Ivan since 2013 & he’s never failed to make my hair look & feel absolutely beautiful. He’s always cautious about what products to use on my hair & puts care into his work. 10/10 recommend. I am always getting compliments on how beautiful my color is.

Went in to bleach and color. Was a bit scared bc its my first time ever and the night before my friends had just bleached my hair. Anne did an amazing job!!! Thank you!

I went to this salon for the first time yesterday! It was horrible! I showed a picture of what i am going for my hair did not turn out anything like it! I called and advised the stylist that i am unhappy because i just spent $200 on my hair and it looks exactly the same, They did not want to do anything to help the situation! I spoke to the manager Gina and she was not helpful at all, the only thing that they kept telling me was that i signed a waiver and that i need to come in couple of more times. The manager told me to go back to the salon and speak to one of the experts. I went back and he basically explained to me that my hair did not pick up on the blond color. I literally wasted $200! I will not be going back to this place and they do not care about their customers satisfaction! This is not how you treat customers. I will get over the $200 but they lost my business! Carragan is AMAZING! I came in on a Sunday morning with an ABSOLUTE hair emergency. I went to a lesser established salon and the outcome was AWFUL. With work Monday morning, I was really in an emergency and Carragan saved my hair completely! Ive been going to her EVER since and Im more then pleased EVERY time. Great customer service, super knowledgeable, total package when looking for a stylist. Go see her!!

ASK FOR IVAN. Ivan has been doing my hair since 2012. I trust him blindly with my hair, and refuse to allow anyone else to style it. He listens to what your vision is, gives you his recommendation, and takes excellent care of your hair. Coloring, cuts, keratin, he does it all. Men’s cuts and line ups? He excels at those too. My boyfriend has been seeing barbers for YEARS, and was super hesitant about going to a salon. Ivan styled his hair, trimmed his beard, etc. My boyfriend raves about his work all the time. He refuses to see anyone else. Trust me, come see Ivan. You will not regret it. He is my stylist for life!

The first time I met Ivan, I hadn’t had my hair cut in 11 years, or colored. Well, I was super nervous but Ivan made me feel great the whole time. When he left his original salon, I followed him to VaNicci because I don’t trust another person with my hair! If you need your hair done, go see Ivan, you will not regret it!!

Not my regular salon, I was pinched for time. I didnt have an appointment, so I accepted whomever I could get. I had a student and very happy with her ability. The store was clean and pleasant.

Great place. I was in definite need of a color and cut. Anne Pitts was my stylist, she did a awesome job with my layers and gave me a beautiful red color. Definitely recommend her.

Katharine did my bridesmaid hair and she did a wonderful job. My hair lasted all day even though she did it in the morning. She also gave me great tips on how to make it last longer.

Ivan made my experience exceptional. I only got my hair done because I was already at the mall and it was convenient. However, I really think I’ll be coming back after the experience I had. Small details like a hand shake and introduction already set him apart from other stylists I’ve had. He knew what would bring out my best features, and was even a pleasure to talk to unlike some other places. The haircut itself had no flaws and is worth the price. I’d definitely recommend Ivan, he’s super nice y’all!

I needed a haircut in a hurry. I stopped by VaNicci at the mall hoping to get an appointment. Fortunately they were able to get me in right then. I go there often since I moved to Buford. Ashley, the lady I usually have, was not there today so I had another lovely lady, Taylor, cut my hair. (I think that was her name.) Even tho I nearly talked her ear off, she did a wonderful job. She looked at the pictures I had and knew exactly what I wanted. I am so happy with my cut. I love this place. The people are always so nice, helpful and professional. I highly recommend this Salon.

Im a newbie when it comes to dying my hair and let me tell yall, I will never cheat on Ivan. Hes my colorist for lifeeeee!! I recommend him to anyone because I know for a fact no one will ever leave VaNicci disappointed if you get him. He knows what hes doing and I blindly trust him with my hair. I rarely make reviews, just know that he left me so satisfied that I had to share it with the world! 100/10 recommend.

I randomly went to the Mall of Georgia to get my hair done and ended up at the Vanicci Salon. Luckily for me, Ivan was there. He is amazing!!! Absolutely loved what he did with my hair, and he did so much more than he had to do! He is a genius and you will be in great hands!! Came here for a haircut while waiting for something else to get done. I don’t remember the name of the person who cut my hair (she had blue hair). One of the worst haircuts I’ve ever had. All I wanted was the exact same style I came in with, just a bit shorter. She kept the style the same, but didn’t even cut the front of my hair causing it to look like I had a backwards mullet of sorts. The sides are sorta even. I ended up going somewhere else after to have it fixed the best they were able to. Won’t be coming back. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the guy at the front desk was very polite

This is my 3rd visit to this salon and I’ve brought my mom here! I’ve always loved my experience! This time was no different.Loved my stylist! So pleased with my hair cut. While styling my hair (I just wanted a blow out and was quoted $45 for shampoo, cut and blow out) the stylist ran the flat iron over my hair a few times. I never asked for it and wasn’t asked if I wanted it done. When I went to pay, I was told the total was $65. I had no idea why and questioned it. It was because there was a $20 add on for the flat ironing. 😱😱 I felt it was so unprofessional and actually stealing to charge something that was not asked for or agreed upon. I did not pay this fee, but would be very hesitant to use same stylist even though I LOVED it because she threw this fee in.

Did not have a good experience here! A couple of months ago, the girl (will not named her) that cut my hair messed up and cut the front too short. The hair cut does not even look close to the style I wanted. They had to get someone else to fix my hair. So they offer me to come back next time for a complimentary haircut with the person who was able to fixed it a little. They told me just call and ask for an appointment with Ashley and they will see it on the computer. Now in March, Im calling to make my appointment with Ashley. The receptionist is now telling me that the complementary appointment has to be with the original girl who cut my hair. My reply was No, thank you!. Who would let the same person who messed up their hair cut it again?! So they charged me for a haircut gone wrong and then promising a free haircut on the next visit with the person who corrected my hair but couldnt follow thru. This is not right. So I will never go here again.

Eglee is the best! She always leaves my hair perfect, she is the best at color, style, and cut. She always leaves my hair looking shiny and very healthy. She is very nice and always listens to you for you to get your hair exactly how you want it. Seriously the best! My whole family goes to her. I definitely recommend her!

Ive been getting my hair dyed here and my stylist Griffin is amazing 🙌🙌 My first visit he actually sat down with my mom and I and talked about what exactly we want to do and told us the good and bad! Hes great! I would definitely recommend this salon!!

These people are god sent. I was part of the bridal party for a wedding on Saturday and pretty much both my hair and makeup appointments got screwed over. I called VaNicci and they got me in right away. I was emotional going in because my makeup appointment had just gotten cancelled and I felt helpless, but thanks to Danielle and her team they were able to find someone in the mall to do it on such short notice! Caitlyn did an amazing job on my wedding hairdo and I couldn’t thank them enough!

I see Griffin Carr and he is amazing. I went from waist length platinum blonde who wouldnt let anyone cut my hair all the way to shoulder length multi color bob with him all because i trust him so much with my hair. I have never had a bad experience with him. I will always be a loyal client.

Super sweet staff BUT BUYER BEWARE! I paid over $200 for services performed by an unlicensed individual. I double checked the website and there is no indication that an apprentice would be performing the services. The end result of my hair was a very orange/brassy color. I have contacted the salon on several occasions to resolve the issue with no response.UPDATE: The Salon did contact me and apologized for taking so long to respond (over 2 months since initial emails were sent). The stylist that called stated she would have to talk to an owner to resolve the issue. This has not been resolved. This is unacceptable. I typically do not complain but I feel that I should be given a refund. My hair was orange and I was not told that the stylist was an apprentice. Again, the services were over $200.

Okay, I don’t know where to start. First of all, you guys are know of good customer service, good reputation, also good staff and we are also regulars. I HAVE NOT SEEN any of those characters today. Vanisa the red haired girl did not show any signs corporation with me except the 3:45pm, which does not accommodate with my sister engagement plan, because she had to be somewhere else. Despite the fact that we had an appointment at 3pm and i did show her the confirmation email. She refused also to give me an appointment at 3:30pm which We would be satisfied with. The fact that i told her that we will leave you good review and we will take very good care of you and your friend who was about to do my sister hair and yet refused is frustrating and upsetting. My family runs a successful business and we know that for a successful business you require a good customer service. Unfortunately Vanicci failed today to present those qualities. We are very upset as regular customers and will never come back.

Good service but the quality isnt 100% in line with the prices charged. The stylist was shown a photo of the desired color and the end result did not match.. and by a fairly significant amount.Overall probably couldnt recommend it to a stranger but have also been to worse places.

Ive been here two separate times almost a year apart. I was a walk in. The reason I gave it a four is because each time I walked in I felt a little like they didnt want me and wished I hadnt come in.Once that initial experience was over and someone started serving me, it was great! I had two different girls and they did a great job on my long thick hair. Its the only two haircuts Ive had in the past two years!The first girl also talked me into a bunch of their products and I LOVED everything. The Moroccan oil, Moroccan oil dry shampoo (for dark hair, THE BEST IVE USED!) and their Unite leave in conditioner.They will be my go to salon every year!

I started off going to great clips and absolutely hated it when i was young. Then I moved on to Sport clips which in overall it wasnt bad and got the job done. Then a friend told me about VaNicci Salon and I never looked backed.Natasha is the absolute best!!!!! Shes very passionate about what she does and makes sure every cut is perfect. I love my hair so much now I dont let anyone else touch it. What really made me like her was that if she messed up ( which honestly is very very rare) she wouldnt just say oh my bad or its okay itll grow back. No she will sit there and apologize and the best part is those magical hands will fix any mistake!Overall, Natasha is caring, very easy to talk to, and dedicated. I wouldnt have my hair handled by anyone else!

When I asked the person at the register about a product her response was I dont know - Ive only been here a month. She seemed to be too busy to be bothered, and a bit irritated that I had interrupted her.After more searching on my own, I did find the product I was looking for.

I went in today to have my very dark hair lightened and Caitlyn did a fantastic job! She made sure I understood the whole process and made me feel very comfortable. I have already scheduled my next appointment and cant wait to see what she does with my hair next!

I came to this salon after having a horrible dye job done at another salon in hopes it could be fixed. I came as a walk in on a Sunday and Natasha was able to fit me right in to her schedule! Not only did she fix my awful hair color, but she did a fantastic job with my new color! She listened to what I wanted and is very talented. I left so happy and confident. Go to this salon and ask for NATASHA! You will not regret it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I took a chance and it paid off! Its been a long time since I have been in a salon for a haircut, but I got jaded on the budget cuts. Today was bliss. Master stylist Brittany was so cordial and accommodating! I got the cut I wanted and the shampoo wash afterwards was absolutely divine! VaNicci is a prime salon. Its so refreshing to be in a professional salon and receive professional services. I will be back in a couple weeks!

Lovely place, but the guy who was making my highlights used the wrong color and my hair turned pink-red (when I specifically said not red or any variety of) The answer was I am sorry it is not what you expected, it was my mistake, but you have to pay either And I paid it full price. He offered me a complimentary fix up, but I am not sure he could fix it.

So my hair is natural, heavily textured and knots up quite easily. But thats all truly an understament for how my hair looked going in today. I love coming to see Eglee at this salon! She does an excellent job blowing out and coloring my naturally curly hair (I have 3b/3c texture hair). My hair looks super healthy and shiny after my blowout. She is very knowledgeable and very patient. She listens to how I want my hair and recommends whats best to keep my hair in good condition. Great salon and very welcoming environment. I normally get a base + partial highlights and flat iron with olaplex and keratin complex and my curls stay in tact which is important for me as I wear my hair natural most of the time!

Sarah is my stylist and she is so incredibly talented! Her eye for color is amazing and she is a great consultant when I want a change. I love her energy too, totally a fun time when i go for my regular style.Definitely recommend her and the rest of the gals at Vanicci. Such a great group of women with an awesome vibe.

Griffin Carr has totally reformed my hair. He is by far the best hairstylist I have ever used in many years. I highly recommend him.

Normally I love going to this salon. However this was not a good visit. I came in for an all over color. Light to brown. Nothing to be stripped or anything. I sat down in the chair and the stylist asked what I wanted. I told I was going brown. She started to leave then stopped.... oh did you want to look at the color first? What stylist goes off to mix a new clients color without automatically giving them options? She then left me processing well over an hour so she could take two haircuts. I know that hair colors stop processing after 50 minutes. A basic all over color and her literally trimming the bottom ends of my hair (which took less than 5 minutes) 2 and a 1/2 hours. When I went to pay the price for color I was quoted was 70. She wrote down it was 85 for the color then tagged on extra for haircut and something else. The receptionist even pointed out that the price for her level was 70 for a color. She stood there and made her override your own computer system prices to get the price she wanted. Once I got outside in the light I could see the color was darker than the one I picked out. It looked exactly like the one she wanted to mix for me originally though... hmm funny how that worked. She dry cut my hair as with the other two cuts she had and now that I styled it this morning it looks uneven. I loved some of the other stylists Ive seen there but because of this one I dont know if I will ever return to your salon.

I am so pleased with my experience at VaNicci Salon. I am came in wanting a short above the shoulder cut. After having long hair almost my whole life, to say that I was nervous to cut my hair is understatement! With that being said, Becca gave me the best haircut of my life! I am soooo in love with my hair! Becca was friendly, precessional, very knowledgeable. I know that I will be going back to her in the future!!! Fabulous job Becca and thank you so much!!!

I went for the first time yesterday and had a haircut by Ashley (master stylist). She really did fabulous. I love that she talked me into leaving the length of my bangs. Ill be back for sure! Oh and the product she used in my hair smells like perfume!

For a long time, I had a personal friend that made me feel beautiful and kept up with my ever-changing needs of color and style. Unfortunately a few years ago, she was no longer able to do my hair for health reasons, and I struggled for some time trying to find someone that really listened to what I wanted and then would be able to give me that too! I changed stylists often, but no longer had to when I met Danielle Kates!!!!! Not only does she listen and help me find the best color and style, but she has become a great friend and I love to chat and laugh with her! She now takes care of my whole family; my husband & 5 children! We love Danielle; she is part of our family!

I have recently had my virgin hair “balayage” by Ivan and it obviously was my first time getting it colored I was putting a lot of my faith into him (and guys let me tell you I was shaking like a leaf the whole time.) From his personality to his talents, he has it all. My stubborn Asian hair had me in his chair for around 6 hours and, with all the teasing, lifting, and coloring I was AMAZED by how perfect of a job he had done. Not only was I overly satisfied, the compliments that came afterwards was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Not even five minutes after I walked out of the salon a lady stopped my boyfriend and I as we were walking and she said, “you’re absolutely gorgeous.” Not only did he do such an EXCEPTIONAL job, but he made my hair so healthy and bouncy after all the chemicals he had put towards lightening my hair.If you’re contemplating on getting your hair done here or by anyone, PLEASE go see Ivan. He’s a saint.

So glad I stumbled upon VaNicci Salon! As someone who doesnt know a whole lot about hair, hairstyles, products etc. when my old stylist switched jobs I had no clue where to go! After a couple unsatisfactory trips to other salons, I went to VaNicci, not even knowing if they did mens hair. Lucky for me my stylist, Beca, knew just what to do! I got a fresh cut and VaNicci got a new regular!

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS UNPROFESSIONAL SALON!!! Theyre overpriced and you can get a better cut at Great Clips!!!!Two clients of mine went here when I was unavailable, and I have NEVER been so appalled by what Ive had come back to my chair in my life!!My first client has probably the easiest, most common haircut in the book. I was told the stylist cut her wavy hair dry and then flat ironed it. At first glance you could tell her hair was uneven, when measured it came out to an inch and a half difference. Her bangs were cut unacceptably short, and her layers had AT LEAST THREE INCHES of difference on either side. It looked like the first time a student picks up scissors in cosmetology school!The second client of mine who went there is probably the worst experience Ive ever seen or heard of. To start, she went in for a root touch up. She was quoted $130 (which is expensive enough as is), and was charged $200. They didnt even wash or dry her hair and charged her $200!!!Now, it is a common practice for stylists to double book (i.e do a haircut while a color is sitting). However, my client had a very sensitive scalp and the stylist did NOT pay any attention. My client ended up with BLISTERS on her scalp!!!!!!She called the salon later to speak with a manager about the appalling experience. The manager was rude and disrespectful. She called her a liar and said that would never happen in her salon and hung up on her.No one should pay this much money for crappy haircuts or to be severely burned by color!!!! I would NEVER recommend this salon to ANYONE and will be warning all my family, friends, and clients to STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had an appointment at 11 so I got there a little early around 10:35. The receptionist told me I would have to wait 30-45 mins. I wasn’t upset because I knew I got there early and they are located in the Mall so I could just easily walk around and kill some time. After the 45 mins I’m awaiting a call because they told me they would call me when I could come back.. I waited and waited and waited. I finally called them and 12 and no one answered.. I waited a little longer and called at 12:30. They finally answered and told me that I could finally come back and that they had someone different to do my hair. I wasn’t actually in the chair until 12:50. Ivan did my hair and I am absolutely in love. I have no bad words to say about him because he did a very good job and was super sweet. However, he is a higher level than the girl that I booked an appointment with.. so his hair cuts and styling prices were a lot higher than hers. I work in customer service so I didn’t want to complain, but in my opinion $245 (before tip) is outrageous for the amount of time I had to wait.I probably would’ve been out of there at 2ish if I had my correct appointment time but instead I was there until 5. Luckily I didn’t really have much going on that day. I would come back because I understand that things happen... I would have just appreciated a call when the girl who had an apt before me came in 30 mins late. Eglee is amazing!!! I have been to at least 10 salons and never left happy. The first time I went she took the time to listen to what I wanted, and she was amazing! I would never go to anyone else, she is really the best!!

For the longest time I got my hair cut at Great Clips. It was cheap, sure, but every time I went I ended up telling myself that it would look better when it grew out. I was not satisfied. Then my sister suggested I try going to the place where she gets hers done, Vanicci salon at the Mall of Georgia. Oh my goodness what a world of difference going to an actual stylist made. I went from at least itll grow out to I look like something out of GQ magazine!. My confidence is higher, my hair is healthier, and I always walk away feeling great about my new look. The stylist I see, Natasha, is a miracle worker. I really cant speak highly enough of this place. 5 out of 5 stars.

After a horrible experience with their sister salon upstairs, I decided to come down and see if the atmosphere was as cold and unwelcoming to African American clients as Princeton Salon was. Totally different vibe. They welcomed me and were very confused and apologetic about what I had been told by the other salon (see Princeton Salon review). Not only did Jordan welcome me but she did exactly what I asked of her and it was the most pleasurable experience! I will definitely be back! There were 2 other young ladies that were super sweet there as well. Thanks Jordan, Carregan and Niecy for making me feel better about your salon!

I have been to this salon three times with my aunt. I’m very picky to when getting my hair done. The majority of the stylist here seem like they do not take there job seriously. I always over here the stylist complaining to the receptionist that they don’t want to take that person because of their hair type or what their asking, which is not professional for that industry. I recently return to check out the salon and a lot of the stylist who use to be there the good ones are not there anymore. I wanted to get my hair done with Eglee because she’s the only one who looked passionate about her work. Most of the stylist are rude to the receptionist and even to some of the staff, which is very upsetting to see. There were a couple of teenage girls who were always attentive and sweet. I use to see there but have not seen in forever which were Hispanic and a girl with blonde short hair. Be careful on the stylist you choose when you come.

Let me begin by saying that I used to go to Sports Clips for the longest time until my hairstylist had to move out of state and I was left with finding a new hairstylist. As for every guy, your tailor and hairstylist should never change when youve found the right one. They know you best and know what you do and dont like. I was recommended by my old stylist to go with someone else in Sports Clips and boy did it make my experience there awful. From going there for over a year, the people at Sports Clips went from being a great group of people to people who you dont even enjoy seeing. It was as if I had never been a loyal customer. What made it worse was the awful haircut my new stylist did which led me to find a new hairstylist.Then I found Natasha at VaNicci. She is the most hardworking, caring, and phenomenal hairstylist Ive ever had. She takes care of her clientele like no one Ive seen before. What made me fall in love with her work was the fact that she was OCD about every haircut she does. She leaves no hair astray and makes sure your hair is absolutely perfect before you can even say whether you liked it or not. Whats even more reassuring is the fact that she will spend her time to make you are absolutely in love with your haircut. You can walk in with any picture or hairstyle and she will spend her first bit of time with you to make sure she knows exactly what you want. I remember the first time I went to VaNicci, and she spent a good 5-10 minutes just talking through what I wanted before picking up a pair of clippers. That type of care and affection is what makes me go back to her time and time again. Not only that but she will talk to you about what youve been up to and truly form a bond with you that gives you the confidence to be honest about how you feel about your hair. If you didnt like something, she takes it to heart and makes it personal to make sure she can fix whatever it is that you didnt like. That kind of quality assurance is so rare in this field of work and Im so blessed to have found her!! I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a new hairstylist and assure you that you wont regret giving her a try.All in all, I give VaNicci a 5/5 for the superb professionalism ( from offering water or tea in wine glasses to giving each of their clients the time they need to give them any hairstyle they could possibly imagine) and highly recommend Natasha as the hairstylist to go to!!

I just got a balayage done today at VaNicci Salon by Danielle and I love it! I was nervous to go more blonde than usual, but Danielle assured me that she would pick a good tone to go with my natural hair color and skin tone, and I am so happy with the result! She was able to lift my hair from dark brown to a natural looking blonde in two processes, and my hair still feels very healthy. Danielle has been doing my hair for years now, so I definitely trust her input, and I always get a great result.

Had my first haircut by anyone other than my mother here and was very nervous about the whole process. Im a young adult seeking stability and predictability, and was surely anxious about the end result. Kaitlynn was there for me and walked me through the whole process, being extremely patient and proffesional. The process was enjoyable, the result was exceptional, and the price was agreable. The environment was very clean and neat, the staff were pleasant and engaging, and obviously most importantly, I was very satisfied with the final result. I recommend this salon to anyone seeking a solid rock and dependable source of a great haircut. This isnt great clips or your average hair salon. This is next level hair styling and proffesionalism. 10/10.
