Okay so where do I begin 😳 I started off at The LightHouse Program with a Positive Attitude being my Recovery and nothing less. I did a little over 3 months. Honestly my time went by pretty smooth not to mention I came in 15 weeks pregnant while working on getting custody of my 12 yr old back. After experiencing all the rules and allowing myself to be strong and just comply with there regulations and do what I have to do it was just an over due process for me. Majority of the staff there had really bad attitudes they were rude and definitely not professional at all. Everyone that shared a review about this place are 1,000% correct about this place. And that was 2yrs ago and honestly it has become worst. They have no empathy at all for the women that comes in those gates. I came willingly to get the help I needed bringing a second child in the world and working on building a better relationship with my 12yr old. I left the program on my own because I just got so sick of all the manipulation and the process that they had running the place. It was truly disgusting and very unprofessional. It seems that all the staff members had a lot going on other than the business of the women that resided in the program. In conclusion I would really like this place to be looked into because it’s totally ridiculous how they run that facility. I’m 29 years old and I felt like I was in a juvenile center/jail 😭 i’ve been to plenty rehabs I’ve never experienced anything like the Light house Program. I wouldn’t recommend any women to this place at all.

My daughter went there and had a bad experience and wouldn’t recommend anyone going. She had been through treatment for 3 months and decided to go there because she has a 3 year old daughter which has medical issues. I have my granddaughter and she wasn’t aloud to talk to us but only her daughter. How does a 3 year old carry on a conversation without guidance and with her medical issues I wasn’t aloud to tell her how she was doing. She got written up for speaking to us so tell me how does a 3 year old tell her mom what doctors say about her treatments. Trying to get her life together and doing the right thing isn’t good enough for these places and the people running them are a joke. The system should be ashamed on how they treat these girls and someone needs to really take a hard look on who they have working because they don’t care. She had to leave because of the no communication to her family because a 3 year old couldn’t explain what the doctors are saying about her kidney issues and was written up for talking to me about her doctors visit. SHAME on them!!!!!!!! Hire people who care

This place was absolutely horrible. My experience there was terrifying. The medical staff messed things up all the time. Appointments medication. There was no common decency what so ever. The staff and other clients were so rude. The atmosphere was so negative it was repulsive. Dont expect to come out of this place with a good self esteem. They break you down , treat you like straight garbage than push u to the side. The family specialist does nothing to help you get your kid back. Its obvious that we are a paycheck to them . They work so hard to get you in and then once your in they get there check so your left to fend for yourself. I was so sick that i couldnt even take care of my own child. I asked for help and they absolutely would not help. I was made to drag myself and my kid down for every meal, every med time I puked all over on the way back up the stairs. was doing so right in front of RSS staff and they gave me attitude and wrote me up, which in turn takes away from time with your family. Come to find out the order from the higher ups was all along to let me stay in my room and bring everything up to me that way i wouldnt spread it though the whole house which is exactly what happened. Every single person, child, and baby were immensely sick. All of it could have been avoided but there was a miscommunication. Ive been to my share of rehab centers in my life and im sorry to say but ive never seen anything that heart breaking and cruel.in my life. I do not recommend this place what so ever not to mention i watched a guy get gunned down right in front of my window while i was there...he died. Its not a safe place what so ever

My experience was terrible. I took the most from my first months but due to my discharge and the results of a false tox due to DIETARY! proof from a toxicologist, results I took upon myself to find out. I was discharged and told to pack all my belongings which was an abundance had to carry up and down the stairs being passed by staff and being offered no help (but could stand there rearranging my room for the next to come in)...8 MONTHS PREGNANT!!! And was ordered bed rest due to it. Prior to my discharged I was quarantined for 6 days 2 days did not receive my prenatal vitamin..fighting this tox report waiting for levels and higher ups to make a decision from which my appeal was most definitely never sent. Terrible, money hungry facility and so quick to toss the RIGHT ones out! It effected my insurance my benefits my health and due to this facility NOT contacting the courts there was a warrant for my arrest but because of my innocence and determination to advocate for myself I made out fine. sober since the terrible experience and most of my drive is my child and how I will never return to a place such as this. Privlages are taken left and right. Voices are not heard. Woman who are sick and not given medication are forced to come down for meals hungry or not to sit for aleast a half hour 3x a day, and if they didnt privlages were swiped. Thank God I did not take medication cause that was a huge issue in of itself. Woman go to facilities to help themselves and seek help and to set up a place for her and her children due to set backs because of use but to send a woman out pregnant or with kids in the projects, in the winter with no where to go or even attempt to call another facility is completely inhumane and wrong. Mind you the children are in a day care in the main building watched by ONE woman! So 7 newborns and 2 toddlers (when I was there in sept. 2018!) to one woman while the newborns sit with proped bottles in their mouths soaking wet being fed formula when they are breast feed! shows how money hungry and poorly run place the lighthouse really is..being fed leftovers 2x a week when each woman has benefits from which are taken by the lighthouse.Also, weeks after my discharge my case was still! being talked about to other females in the facility because I refused to admit to something I didnt do,which last time I checked thats called slander and breaking confidentiality. Real professional. I recommend Madonna house ladies. If I could rate no star I would.And to the lighthouse staff... Pretty packages are also alot smarter than they seem. Expect some letters.

I did ok until my2 month old came thats when problems started. Staff refused to let memake mu baby appts. Messed up my dss and did not dispense my meds. Staff was on a total power trip and some went out of their way. I felt like i was back in elementary school. They dont prepare you for leaving a few women had to go to shelters. You are not allowed to better yourself with ged or a vocation im angry it even says you can

Probably one of the worst rehabs ever extremely difficult and upholding family court orders had to have the Buffalo Police Department there numerous times only for criminal charges to be filed against staff facility members I am still dealing with them trying to get paperwork because they drugged my daughters mother to the point where she could not even function in life
