The park and surrounding area was very well kept up. One drawback, there restuarant was closed down. So be sure you bring in food if camping. Other then that,a wonderful weekend get away.
Today was very nice. Windy, but the water was so clear and water was clean. Kids really enjoyed it.
Great place to go out for a few hours. Besides some people being inconsiderate of where your stuff is, theres no complaint. Water stays nice and shallow for a while so its not a bad place for little ones.
I keep coming back here so many times and last 3 times at the weekends, the trash bins are overloaded, trash in lake and around. People are not considerate, this is very sad. The second issue, why this mess is not cleaned? Bathrooms dirty. No soap, they are not clean. It is a beautiful place itself but I do not understand why it is turned into trash.
First timers. Beautiful lake and very peaceful surroundings. Came at lunch time because the Lake Bryan post showed a cute restaurant right on the lake that serves margaritas, beer and yummy sounding food.....but it is CLOSED INDEFINITELY due to Covid 🤦♀️.
I loved the view the vastness and the water took my breath away. Plenty of fish for sport a volleyball net to have some fun, even camping space adventures. Nothing could be more inviting than LAKE BRYAN
There is not much shade. But the water was warm and nice to swim in.
Favorite place to go with pup around Bryan-College Station. Just 20 minutes from campus. Can absolutely find privacy at end of main road and off on the sand a little bit (can drive on) to the right, past boat storage gate and near treeline. Id suggest this spot if you have a dog and other people are at the park (almost always). There are areas for volleyball, bbq pits, picnic tables, camping, and public restrooms as well if you wanted to go with a group of friends.
I think their price is too high. Somerville only charges $3 and its much larger and you can space out a whole lot more. Bryan Lake is a whole lot smaller and it gets pretty full you feel like a sardine in a can. Their restroom always seem to be pretty gross as well. Its okay for a quick in-and-out but even if you go in there and realize its too many people and you cant get to the water you still end up paying $5. I highly recommend Somerville like especially if youre going to camp out.
We rented kayaks and went out on the lake had a lot of fun.
Had a great time fishing and camping all weekend. Caught alot of fish, just to small.
Great winding hiking trails, beautiful water, and plenty of parking.
Pretty good place to camp overnight. Very limited on spaces for primitive camping but they are lake side. Facilities are minimal (portapotty) but it is doable. Bring firewood as they have none for sale and no wood on the property to collect.
Lake swim and them grilling later is the best, close to CS.
Family time, weve done all types of family events here. BBQ, birthdays, camping, photography sessions. Nice place to breathe fresh air and see all the green for a change.
The lake is small and kind of shallow, but still more than useable for boats and jet skis. The split in the middle makes it seem even smaller. On a weekend it can get quite crowded, so be ready for a few waves. There are miles of nice trails to explore as well as the water, and the restaurant/bar is nice with some great shaded outdoor seating. There is a coupon on the entrance ticket for the restaurant, so make sure to save and use it.
Conveniently located in Bryan. The price of entrance is only $5 and it closes at 9:00 or 10:00. Clean and family fun friendly. RVs camping and fishing allowed.
I like this place but not for serious fishing. Serious fishing just go to Somerville Lake. The restroom is clean high five. Definitely will go back to fish and relax.
It was very amazing to come here and relax. Would recommend to any who just wants to chill by the lake, swim, fish, etc.
Its okay nice place to chill
Really loved it. Hospitality great. Area clean. Restroom clean.
The waterwas decent but I like the trails couldnt find a spot for a little privacy
Clean, good swimming area and bathrooms are close.
Mountain bike trails were not well cared for. $5 entry fee is cheap and the lake is pretty.
Nothing to offer at the time. The club is closed.
Ill be there for the boat races and I really enjoyed myself
I go here mainly for the mountain bike trails (about 20 miles of trails) and the occasional kayak paddle. The Ice House (when open) is a great place to eat, watch the sun set & listen to live music. The Ice House is typically closed during the winter months. There are a few RV sites with water & electric. I have never utilized this amenity, but drove through the area recently. It needs a lot of TLC.
Ive camped here several times, and we occassionally will come by just for a picnic. Its a lovely park with plenty of space and plenty of usable waterfront so each party isnt cramped and has their own area. Hopefully they can put in a few more pavillions in the future.
That people dont have to worry about leashes and they could just give you one
Went to see the drag boat racers. Was great.
My first time camping in US, it was a great place, has restrooms, and lake was beautiful
Very empty, peaceful, and tons of fun.
Really nice Recreational area, and not a bad admission price.I think we paid $5 for our whole Truck load of people. Not to big a deal that there are no Life Guards because it stays shallow pretty far out, so you would really have to not be paying attention for your kids to get out over their head. They have Camping and Picnic areas.Unfortunately, I believe they have closed the Ice House thingy where you could eat, but still look forgot next year because my granddaughters love the “beach” but that’s why i’m giving 3 Stars because portions of the beach are littered and need sand brought in.We walked along picking up mostly beer cans/tops and lots of broken glass probably also from alcoholic beverages.
Nice place for weekend hangout..
I really enjoyed myself
Awesome place! Great trails and easy to navigate thru. Well suited for the beginner rider or expert! Clean restrooms also
Amazing place for good views, tranquil surroundings, amazing RV camping ground, good for hikes, trail walking, sunrise and sunset photography, bird watching. Kayaking and rowing.
Camping here is like paying 10 dollars to camp in an unregulated field next to a water treatment plant. Noise curfew is at 10pm, but absolutely zero enforcement. Do yourself a favor, visit HipCamp and book a camping site on their app somewhere else. If you wanna party, though; Lake Bryan is the place to go.
Very nice place , lots of fun activities going on
Very peaceful spot to spend an evening!
Went Sunday at 2PM. Only $5 per vehicle. Was not crowded by any means. Plenty of parking available. Water was not as dirty as we expected. Everyone kept way more than 10ft in distance.
Speed boat racing rocks
Besides almost getting attacked by 2 (presumably) wild dogs while entering/leaving the west loop trail, it was a very nice hike. Id have rated it 5 stars if there wasnt the threat of getting attacked by dogs though.
Worst charco ever. Dirty and smelly and poor.
Had a lot of fun. Kids friendly. Clean restrooms. Was really peaceful.
But there is no there there. Someone correct me if Im wrong.
Its a lake and camping beware of the restroom bugs and wasp.
Love lake Bryan. Clean park, helpful staff
Good 🎣
Great sunset and the boat didnt capsize so a good day.
The lake was great and its incredible for swimming with kids. The campsites were a bit trashy. The biggest problem were the dozens of campers who were squatting. If you reserve a sight, be on the lookout for random people who will pitch a tent right next to you, even though they didnt reserve a thing. Virtually no regulation. Cops drove by and saw multiple infractions (music too loud too late, fireworks, squatting) and didnt do a thing. The kids had fun, and thats what counts, but we wont be returning.
Its okay considering its close proximity to my apartment. They have kayak rentals and camping facilities, also RV hookups and the water is fairly clean. However the lake has heavy fishing 🎣 pressure, but fair amounts of Channel Catfish, Crappie, and Largemouth Bass !
Kinda trashy but not too bad. Bathroom were not as previously mentioned. In fact, they were nicer than most and definitely cleaner than any Target and Walmart bathrooms around.
Fun place to be in the mornings. At evening it’s very crowded. Still very serene place
Very nice and relax scenery
Good place to hang out near college station. $5 a day entry for a car.
Me and my family love to be at this lake. Very clean and safe💚💜
Nice and clean place to bbq or have a party. Water looks kinda nasty but Ive seen people swimming there. There is a $5 entrance fee per car so youd better carpool. There is a restaurant over there too.
A great place to picnic
Great place to relax
I love fishing there i really recommend it there .
Was a nice place. Lots of friendly people, lots of room👍
