I was not happy with the amount hair was braided on my head and the stylist tells me it’s my fault because I brought that much hair. Just because the hair is packaged 9 bundles doesn’t mean you use it all. I had so much hair that I was unable to turn my head. I asked her to redo. The day of my redo appointment, she cancels on me. When a customer tells you how they want their hair, listen to them. You can have medium box braids with less than 9 bundles of hair. I know because I’ve had them twice before. Done by someone who knows what they’re doing. If no stars were allowed, that’s what I would put.

I booked the waist length box braids As someone who has been getting her hair braided her whole life,it’s definitely a struggle to find someone who isn’t overpriced,overbooked, rough around the edges(LITERALLY) and delivers at least decent customer service! I booked with Shana during the pandemic and was satisfied to know she as only doing one client a day to ensure a thorough cleaning was done after. I met at the door with a smile and introduction! She explained the process of the service she was giving and asked if I had any questions or concerns. She got right to work and DID NOT stop until the service was complete! Parts were neat and the same size all over, I was very surprised and satisfied. She made sure her nor my time was wasted . I arrived at 9 and walked out by 3:30/4. I did not book for a braid touch-up ( I books for 4 rows) until 6 weeks later. I probably could have gone longer than that had I not going swimming and wasn’t a active gym goer!I then kept those braids in for another 3-4 weeks before booking another service, that 10 whole weeks! I then decided we’ll let’s try a different style. I went with 3 layer tribal braids. Only took 3 hours, once again I wasn’t disappointed. Parts were neat braids were tight but not too tight. I kept those braids in for 4 weeks only because I wanted to get a sew-in for my birthday. I received so many complements on both services. Which let’s me know not only i think she did a great job! Last Thursday I received a sew-in and once again, I am not disappointed! My hair was braided down neatly and small. Her stitch was orderly and tight. I had 3 bundles and a 4x4 closure. I don’t have much experience with closures, but Shana took her time to explain each step on how I can maintain the closures cleanliness and appearance until it was time for my maintenance appointment. Since receiving this service I’ve sweated, gone swimming. I followed her directions and it was easy and my closure is seamless! I waited so long to right a review because I wanted to see if this salon/owner were really the TRUTH! 3 different styles within 5/6months and I must say she is consistent, always on time & delivers the BEST customer service, HANDS DOWN!She even went as far as sending me a personal Happy Birthday message!I will remain a faithful client at Culture Salon and Boutique!If you are Looking for the best. Someone who has every quality you are looking for in a stylist, head on over!
