Wonderful fresh and organic food. Terrific assortment of personal items like shampoo; soaps; body cream, etc. They have a packed store full of great and healthy choices. And the staff is always open to recommendations and willing to try them. Upstairs holds a wonderful selection of natural and comfortable clothing. It is my go to store for quality, safe and delicious food. The wine choices are also worth investigating.

This little store has a great selection of items, however, the few times I have been in here I feel totally unwelcome. The cashiers are always pretty rude and unfriendly. At first I thought it might be a bad day but it’s been the experience each time I visit. I even saw one worker roll his eyes about having to go around me in an aisle. Definitely not a place I want to spend my money or time.

Its always great to see and support a local business, but the owners truly atrocious people. Pathological, maybe? There are enough little stores in the state and I recommend supporting better people.

Nice store with a good selection of healthy Food supplements. Small building so a bit tight when it’s even a little busy. A bit pricey but in the normal range for a health food store.

I hate writing this. We make it a priority to shop local, small businesses, a lot due to the human connections. This store has super small hallways and it’s not easy to maneuver around so you’re met with employees around every corner, and let me tell you every time I have so much anxiety. My least favorite part- the cash register. Every single time they’re so rude, we were spending 100’s of $$ a trip and no one asked if we wanted to be in the rewards program, when we asked they told us next time since we had already started scanning our food. Next time, they said they’d do it after we finished scanning. Just bad energy, I found some other local shops that don’t give me anxiety. If the owners are reading this, I really hope you take steps to change.

Several other people have mentioned this, and after a couple of years of shopping at MG, and hoping to see it change, I have to say it: I’ve never seen a group of people look so miserable working anywhere in my life — from the owner on down. It is extremely rare to get anyone to smile let alone chit chat with you. I don’t get the feeling that they’re annoyed with us customers so much as they are just hating their job ...? I’m with the guy who said he’ll sometimes drive to Portland just to avoid it. Agreed. There’s a little organic market in Bath, too. It’s smaller than MG, but the people are way friendlier, and the energy is much lighter. Someone needs to sage MG and get a coach in there to clear up whatever is going on with personalities, communication or whatever. If they were not the only game in town, I think they’d see a lot less business. Product-wise, the store is great. Expensive, but what organic market isn’t?

Great selection of food. Always a very friendly staff asking if you are finding everything that you are looking for. I love this store too because they carry so many organic and gluten free items that you cant find at the mainstream grocery stores.

Ive been shopping at Morning Glory for over 30 years and have always found the employees to be friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The owners go out of their way to take special orders as a matter of course. They pride themselves in exceptional service and it certainly is reflected in their loyal customer base. The owners also support many small local businesses, as well as global/fair trade enterprises. I, too, love the creaky floors and the packed aisles...its one of my favorite stores in Brunswick.

If I could rate products vs customer service different, I would.Products - excellent. Great variety, fresh (mostly - I’ve never had luck with the berries), ok prices for being a smaller shop and all natural.Customer service - probably the worst. No one smiles. They seem annoyed. The ask you to move out of their way to get to what they need instead of politely saying “excuse me” or graciously waiting for you to browse and select what you need.At the register - my least favorite. I want to ask one of the women if she even knows how to smile. I’ve been a regular for years and have not once had a pleasant experience with her. I get attitude and annoyance and not a simple “thank you”. Sometimes I make the very inconvenient drive to Whole Foods in Portland so I don’t have to deal with the terrible customer service who make me feel bad at Morning Glory. I’ve yet to have a negative experience with an employee at Whole Foods. I’d be a more dedicated regular at Morning Glory if they’d fire the old, grumpy woman and bring in someone who actually wants to work there.Also. If you do go - they do have a rewards program. Ask about it, sign up, and every time you go remember to mention it. After probably 5 years as a customer I heard a customer in front of me saying “I’m in the rewards program” and have her name for points. I then went and asked about it, and also asked why I’ve not ever been asked if I’d have it or want to sign up. And each time I’m in, no one asks if I’m part of it.A self check out would also solve this issue - I’d rather check myself out than deal with the grumpy employees for 2 minutes.

Amazing little natural foods market! So many options in every food category! The staff are friendly and approachable and seem to be able to answer any and all questions! If they do not have what you are looking for, most likely they either can get it or know where you can find it!

An employee, woman, followed my wife and I around the store. Every aisle. Upstairs, immediately back downstairs. Etc. It was as if she assumed we were shoplifting. Completely baffled as to why she would think this or act this way. We left the store in a stir due to such inappropriate, paranoid behavior. Do not plan on returning.

Not what I expected. I politely asked a cashier about a natural product in the tea that I was buying. I got a very condescending and rude response. A simple Sorry I dont know would have sufficed. Other people in the store seemed helpful but I guessed I picked the wrong person. Probably would not be visiting again. Shame that a few people can damage a business that I assume is otherwise quite decent.
