My daughter Emma has gone to this office since she was very little, today was the last visit due to her age. Its definitely hard because the patience they have with my daughter with Autism has been absolutely incredible. The hygienist Sarah has been a blessing and because of her being so great with my daughter she enjoys going to the dentist which is huge. Thank you guys for your patience and respect you have had towards Emma. Hopefully we will be blessed enough to find someone as great in the next chapter of our girls life. ❤

After a not so great experience at a local dentist we had to head to Maine Coast for some big dental work and after another not so stellar local appointment we made our way back and will never look back. Everyone is absolutely amazing, so friendly and helpful.They make the kids excited to go to the dentist. To not have to battle with the kids when it’s time is a win in my book! This place is amazing. My kids (11 & 5) felt welcomed, safe, and secure. The staff are so amazing with the kids, and the quality of their work is exceptional.

My daughter recently had her first dentist appointment at 15 months old. She thought it was the best place! The staff was friendly and silly. They made her feel so welcome and comfortable. As a mom, I felt extremely welcome, too. I had heard great things about Coastal Maine Pediatrics but they exceeded every expectation I had.

Everyone was very kind and patient with my daughter. It was her first time at the dentist and she had a very positive experience! They were also very attentive to my questions and I felt they were thorough. Happy we chose this practice.

I could not be more thankful of the care that my daughter received at Coastal Maine Pediatric Dentistry! As the mother of a toddler I was a little worried about her cooperating for the appointment. The staff made the visit easy and even fun! My daughter can’t wait to go back!

My toddler had his first ever dentist appointment there this week. Both the dentist and the dental hygienist were patient, thoughtful and really great with my son. The appointment went very smoothly.

Coastal Maine Pediatric Dentistry has provided absolutely wonderful dental care for my child. She had to be put under with anesthesia for an extraction and they put us at ease the entire time and made it a much smoother experience than we anticipated. Highly recommend this office for pediatric dentistry!

They did not listen to my concerns or do what we were referred by our primary dentist to the office for. Instead we drove 1 hour for them to do what her regular dentist could have done and charge a lot of money for a simple exam we could have gotten at her regular dentist. Would not recommend, not returning. They told me my child had like 4 cavities and an abscess and that she would need to be sedated to get 1 baby tooth pulled by an oral surgeon. Went to her primary dentist to get a second opinion and they said she had 0 cavities and 0 abscesses! Wow!!

My daughter has never been more at ease at a medical office. We loved the staff and experience so much. 10/10 would recommend. I work in a family medicine office and have referred so many pediatric patients to Midcoast Pediatric Dentistry. I wish they took adults.

The office is clean and friendly with my children; they love it here! Completely unimpressed with the new dentist though who at a recent visit decided to remind me that I’m the one controlling my children’s dental health with regular brushing and supervising snacks. Seemed a little judgmental for someone who I’m giving every spare cent to(and yes I brush my kids teeth).

If I could give 100 stars I would! The staff at coastal maine pediatric dentistry couldn’t get any better with children but also with parents! They take the time when you have concerns and questions and really make you feel important not just more money to bring in.

I was very excited when I read the reviews for this dentist. The front desk staff was so nice and helpful, the office is doing a great job of continuing to take CoVid seriously since a lot of their clients are too young to be vaccinated. However. Upon arrival with my 2 year old I found the staff out of touch with respectful behavior towards children. The first thing that happened was stopping at the prize wall and my son being told “IF you’re a good boy you get a prize at the end” so right away I know they work on a bribery system. This is super messed up. The more concerning interaction I had was when the hygienist and dentist informed me that they were going to use a technique where they would physically hold my child down to look in his mouth. They told me it was totally normal and that he would probably cry but that was just part of it. I objected. We do not physically restrain our son at home so it would be very confusing for him if I allowed two strangers to do it. They again assured me this was just how it’s done. If this is true than the medical community needs better techniques. Parents you do not have to have your child held down at any medical office. This is not normal-it May have been normalized here but if it doesn’t feel right, don’t do it. They said by the time the kiddo is 3 or 4 they jump in the dense chair not problem…to which I replied “That’s because they are probably terrified your going to hold them down it they don’t” and of course since you only get a prize if your “good” the kids will do what you say. And after all that they asked him to open his mouth and he did…imagine that, respectfully asking the child, waiting until they are ready and then doing the best you can. Your kids deserve better than what is being offered here. We stopped for ice cream 🍦 on the way home.

We have a child with severe autism. Everybody is so pleasant, understanding and accommodating. Would highly recommend this office if you have a child with special needs

Best Pediatric Dentist office EVER! My almost 3 year old was always nervous at our old dentist office but by the end of her first exam here she didnt want to leave! Our dental hygienist was Amber and she was very kind, patient and gentle. She asked my daughter if it was OK to do each step along the way and showed her and explained each tool and process. They have tvs on the ceiling and streaming services so your child can pick a show to watch, with headphones too! They gave my daughter sunglasses to keep the exam light out of her eyes. They even have oil diffusers in the exam rooms which Im sure is meant to establish a calming environment but this mama enjoyed it too. The dentist was also amazing and sweet. They were all good spirited staff and praised my child every step of the way for cooperating. At the end of the exam they gave her a token to use at the prize tower. The prize tower is a bunch of little vending machines with different toys. Seriously best dentist experience ever!

The staff at Coastal Pediatric Dentistry is so welcoming and kind, they put my daughter at ease. We had a great experience despite two extractions on my 6 year old.

I loved doctor Erin Saucier! She took the time with my daughter who was very nervous and unwilling to sit in the chair. Talked to her about her favorite color and show and let her use the tools. My daughters stuffed animal sat in the chair and Dr. Saucier checked its teeth. Really appreciate the time she took with her to help her feel a bit more comfortable. We love Amber too! She is very understanding and patient.

5 stars and a huge thank you is not nearly enough. My 4 year old started develop some major anxieties and the dentist became one of those worries. He had been regularly going to his check ups since he was 2 so the regression was frustrating. His RDH, Amber, has been nothing short of amazing! We have been seeing her every 6 weeks to try and get him a bit more comfortable. Amber is so patient and encouraging. She’s includes my son in everything she is doing, she explains it all so well and pushes him a little out of his comfort zone but does not overwhelm him.The front office staff is incredibly helpful, accommodating snd friendly. They go out of there way to work with our crazy schedule. A pediatric dentist is the way to go for children. The entire office is designed for children. IPADs in the waiting room, token prize machines, and TV’s complete with PJ Masks on the ceiling. I am so grateful for this wonderful group of professionals and this lovely office.

This place is the best place ever to bring your child. I been bringing my daughter to them for 3 years and very happy. With this covid happening they are taking cautious measures and still doing an amazing job! I will never go anywhere else. This place makes us feel like family.

Dont be late, no dentist for you. If their Patek Phillipe reads even a little late tough luck. For a little context my wife was 5 minutes late to our sons appointment and they wouldnt see him. Shes 8 months pregnant with an hour drive how about some humanity...We had rescheduled as our son was exposed to Covid at school He received a negative PCR test which we forwarded to their office prior to this appointment. We communicated with them throughout the re-scheduling process. Shes five minutes late and they told her to leave. Please make sure to remember that THEIR time is so much more valuable than YOURS when you make your next appointment. You have to follow their strict protocols almost as closely as you would when ordering soup from a famous stand in NYC...

My daughters had a wonderful experience at their first trip to the dentist with all the new COVID-19 protections in place. Everyone in the office was clearly working together to make the place safe in a way that is completely oriented around children and a childs experience.

We had a negative experience at Coastal Maine Pediatric Dentistry.We were referred to their office by our primary dentist due to a cavity on a baby molar on my 8 year old (who has serious gag reflex and that was also why we were referred). Immediately upon being checked in my daughter was ushered into the X-ray room. There was no care or concern given to her or her gag reflexes.The X-ray were unsuccessful and within 10 minutes she was returned to me.At that time the technician explained to me the only option we had was making an appointment for full anesthesia services (with an out of network provider I would need to file a claim for). They refused any alternative option.Thankfully our referring dentist had another option for us and Dirigo in Falmouth helped us without full anesthesia.I don’t recommend Coastal Maine Pediatric Dentistry because of our experience in office and because they actually billed a FULL EXAM. One of two I am allowed a year with Delta Dental - and when I requested they bill under a different code so that I could use the other exam for the practice that actually DID EXAM my daughter, they refused. They had the opportunity to do the right thing and they didn’t. This is what is broken in our system.

My daughters visit seemed like it was going well however the staff threw away her very first tooth instead of sending it home due to Covid , and when I questioned them about it were extremely rude and uncooperative . I understand these are difficult times however they did not advise ahead of time and my daughter was extremely disappointed. The anesthesiologist hung her keychain toy on his mask and gave it right back to her,so clearly not concerned with Covid!

Always a great experience! My daughter is so comfortable here and they are doing a fantastic job keeping everyone safe during COVID-19.

This was the 1st visit for my daughter at Coastal Maine Pediatric Dentistry. They were able to schedule her cleaning right away. They were thorough and provide a great plan to work with referring her to an Ortho in the near future. My daughter felt comfortable with no anxiety about returning for another visit.

Very comfortable and inviting dental practice. The waiting area puts kids at ease and makes them excited to be there. The dental hygienists are very skilled at working with children. At a previous practice, my 2 year old cried and screamed the whole time. He was mellow and very comfortable for the whole appointment because they hygienist was so good at making him comfortable and understand what all she was going to do.

Great practice! My LO loved the play area and walking up and down the waiting room. The staff and doctor provided excellent care and an enjoyable experience.

My very anxious child was quickly at ease. He did very well under sedation and has no fears of the dentist. I highly recommend them for your child to have a great experience.

Dr. Badger is great 👍 My daughter needed her tooth extracted with a space maintainer and by that night she said it didnt hurt, into the next morning. Im so pleased with the end results. Shes so brave and couldnt wait to tell her friends at school. She took it far better than me.

A very welcoming dentist. Had my sons name on the chalkboard when we entered welcoming him. Staff are very friendly and explained everything they were going to do. This helped ease any anxiety we had around our son getting dental work done. Would recommend this dentist to everyone with children.

My kids love going to the dentist. They look forward to seeing everyone. The staff is great and has been explaining to them since they were 2 what was going to happen. I hear horror stores of kids and dentists. We have never had a bad experience and we have been seeing the staff at Coastal Maine Pediatric Dentistry for5 years now.

They were absolutely great! My son has always been a little scared at the dentist, but not this time. They were able to build rapport with him right away and have some great distraction techniques. I highly recommend them!

Our experience was wonderful. I was a very nervous mama and I was so impressed by the care my daughter received. The office is an hour away from our house but we’ll worth the drive. We definitely won’t go anywhere else in the future!

I absolutely love this dental practice! They are so good with my daughter and it is always a very pleasant experience with great educational tips for me, too. They are wonderful. Every single person we have experienced there has been just awesome.

Dr Scholl is truly an amazing professional. She has wonderful tone with my child and works hard to figure out her clinical situation. I know she has my child’s best interest at the forefront of her care.

This is the only dentist my almost 8yo son has ever had. He has come to trust them and feels so safe here. They are just wonderful, and their new location is pretty great too! If you ever have questions regarding treatment/prevention/payment, really anything at all, they take the time to answer you thoroughly and accurately. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and they do it well.

The staff is so amazing and patient with the kids! One of my children has pretty significant anxiety and without fail the staff take the time to show and explain everything so that it’s less scary and a positive experience. I wouldn’t take my kids anywhere else!

My 3 year old very strong willed little man is having issues with his teeth and again very strong willed. We brought him in and the entire team of professionals there were nothing shy of amazing to him and my family!! The office is spacious and comfortable, but above that the staff is the warmest, most friendly group of people I have had the pleasure of taking my children to. Both my children, 4 & 10, are thrilled to go to the dentist. They are actually excited to go and get great advise and motivation to keep taking better care of their teeth.

A wonderful place for kids- they do a fabulous job making kids feel comfortable, we drive 45 minutes to get there because they are so great.

2 of my kids were traumatized by their previous dentist so we switched and started coming here. I can say that that was the best decision I ever made! I love this place! Everyone is so patient and friendly ♥️We love it here!!!!

Staff called us on their day off to ease my concerns about a dental injury. They also got us in first thing Monday morning to look at the injury. When it became clear the injury was of no concern, the offered to do a cleaning and regular check-up! Staff was so kind and gentle with my 1 year old- he was at ease and did a great job!!! Great first experience for him! Thank you!!

They are so great with the kids and there are plenty of things to keep the kids busy or entertained while they are there. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff as well. Going to the dentist is not a chore for the kid anymore, its now fun and easy.

I am a super paranoid mom and wanted nothing but the best for my daughter. Dr Scholl was HIGHLY recommended by our regular dentist and I went to the appointment looking for a reason not to love this place and could not find one. All of the staff was amazing with my daughter, even when she threw a fit. They were great with me being a nervous wreck and very thorough with discharge instructions and made sure we were comfortable with all the procedures before they were done.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Emily Scholl and her outstanding staff at Coastal Maine Pediatric Dentistry. My five year old daughter had to have a cavity filled on a molar that we initially expected to require a root canal. Though I kept it to myself for her benefit, I was heartsick with anxiety, convinced that no matter how they tried to sugar coat the procedure, this would be the end to her enthusiastic and voluntary visits to the dentist. I could not have been more wrong. It isnt the procedure that is being performed that can be scary. It is how it is presented and Coastal Maine Pediatric Dentistry truly made it comfortable and lighthearted. My daughter was at such ease thanks to their techniques and TLC; she didnt even have a clue that she had a needle in her mouth let alone a drill. She met Mr. Whistle that made silly whirring sounds (the drill - genius name), Mr. Bumpy that bumped along her teeth and Mr. Thirsty that drank away all of the water that was squirted into her mouth. These and all of the other tools used (a tooth pillow to help hold her mouth open for her - so clever!) were introduced in such a light and happy manner that nerves never played a part. I had Bachs Rescue Remedy on hand to help her recover just in case. There was nothing traumatic or scary about her visit whatsoever. She was as chipper when she left as she was when she arrived. The staff there are absolutely phenomenal. I have felt this about them from our first cleaning visit but this trip to repair her tooth was so amazing. I am so impressed. I am so appreciative. It is our honor to be your patients and we will be certain to let everyone know about your absolutely outstanding talents, techniques, and TLC. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The staff here is wonderful!!!!! I have a special needs son, whom at first wouldnt allow anyone near his mouth and now thanks to everyone here, sits through his entire cleaning! I have 3 daughters that started at this office when they were babies and they are exceptional with them as well! Im so thankful for not only Dr. Scholl, but Sara and Amber as well!!!

They were able to accommodate our long drive and fit us in on the same day as our consultation. They were also very good with our nervous daughter and the multiple procedures performed were all successful.
