My counselor is great. All the counselors have been helpful. There were many days my counselor was not available but someone was able to help me out. The staff is great. Everyone is always friendly and nice. Some of the nurses are great as well. They can be helpful. I agree with some of the reviews too . The nurses do gossip a lot. They gossip about the clients and even gossip about each other. the male nurse review seems true. He is always playing games when I see him. He is one who probably should not be working with addicts. Overall The clinic is clean and the rest of the staff is great. I’ve been here over a year and it’s been keeping me sober. Great place to start if you are serious about getting clean.

Some of these reviews are wrong. If your not ready it won’t help you. Sick of people complaining this place has done nothing but keep me sober. The counselors are amazing. You barely speak to the nurses all they do is give you your dose. I don’t have any problems with them. They are nice. Robin is one of the nurse that actually speaks to you and ask how you are doing same with the little one those two are the nurses you should see . I don’t spend much time with the nurses thou I don’t see why people are complaining unless there not doing what they should be. Ackin is the best there. He has checked up on me multiple times. This place is not as bad as it seems

They will mess with your UA. I was accused of using and lying about my UA. I did not used and my UA came back dirty. I think they will do anything to keep you there its all about the money for them. They are not there to help you. they want to keep you there for the money they get for the methadone. the nurses will pressure you to increase on your dose . they want you to be hooked on methadone

The big male nurse with the beard is rude and will make fun of the clients there. He made fun of me and I reported it to my counselor. I e heard him talk about other clients there too and the other nurses just laugh. they don’t care about the people who go there. idk why they are nurses if they treat us this way. Not all of them are bad but they let nurses like him treat us like this. That says alot.

I had to switch to the St. Paul location, and I miss this one. The staff is friendly and helpful; it is clean and operates smoothly. The set-up provides a lot of privacy while dosing and while meeting with your counselor, and the entire building’s lay-out makes sense. It is easy to decrease your dose when you’re ready; they let you do it as slow as you want without question. For the most part, I am able to check in, dose and leave within 10 minutes, excluding meeting with counselors or having a UA. Clean and private UA bathroom and lab.One problem I’ve seen recently is that a couple of the nurses gossip and joke about the patients. A couple are incredibly sweet, but there are a few that just shouldn’t be working with recovering addicts.

90% of the people that work here are great amazing people that genuinely have your best interest at heart, Corey is one of them. Unfortunately there are people that work at the front desk who make you feel like you’re a burden for coming there and that they have better things to do. They have 900 patients, and they have safety precautions for just about everything there from drinking your methadone, handing out Narcan,, security to make sure there’s not drugs being sold on the property and breathalyzers to make sure you’re not drunk when taking your methadone. That being said they are aware that people do show up there drunk high, sleepy, And yet they continue to tell patients to run up two flights of stairs to see their counselors when there’s a flag on their name and a lot of the time the counter isnt there. So then you have to run down two flights of stairs and generally they’ll tell you to go see one two or three different counselors which you have to run back up the stairs and sometimes those three aren’t there and you have to run back down the stairs. I’m wondering how long it’s going to take them to realize in our office communication like the software slack or Microsoft outlook would be beneficial so that you don’t have to run up and down the stairs three or four times and possibly fall and injure yourself. All they have to do is when a counselor steps out of their office for a meeting to go to the bathroom to go to lunch or is currently in a session they can simply type in a note and the front desk would know before they send you riding around like hide and go seek looking for people that some of the counselors are not available there in group there at lunch and they can pinpoint counselors that are available and send you right to them so there’s only one trip up and down the stairs. I made a suggestion to the front desk staff that this would be a lot more efficient for the patients and the staff and they immediately got an attitude like who are you to make a recommendation to us? So besides asking 900 recovering attic‘s to run up and down the stairs three or four times where they may possibly injured himself or someone else they didn’t get an attitude when you make a suggestion as a patient that might help not only them but you as well. I sure hope out of the 900 patients that have just taken methadone or possibly high from drugs or drunk do not slip on those stairs or trip fall and hurt themselves or another innocent person coming up the stairs and have a lawsuit to deal with. Luckily the director Cory took the time when I asked him if I could speak with him to listen to my recommendation. He told me they do have a process like that and the front desk staff should be following it not sending you up and down the stairs trying to track staff down in the huge building. I also mentioned to Cory with 900 people in recovery trying to get clean raise their self-esteem and get back to living a normal life it certainly doesn’t help when the staff treat you like they’re better than you and that you’re just a pain in the butt and we’re just a bunch of nobodies. I really hope they take the time to make these changes and do a better job at making you feel welcome when you come in

My counselor Richard is absolutely amazing. He has helped me more than any counselor ever has and hes new! I previously had Elizabeth & when she left for a short time I was transferred to Issac, no offense but he was not what I needed... I asked to be switched to someone else & thats when I met Richard... he has the kindest heart and purest intentions & they as well as I am very lucky to have him here 🙌 Id say most people here are kind and working here because they actually care & then there are people like Steve (supervisor) who clearly looks down on people like me & doesnt seem to like his job, just enjoys causing problems in my opinion. Corey the director has been kind and helpful at times and all of the nurses are amazing especially Robin shes the sweetest person. Overall ive loved coming here and as I taper off and get closer and closer to leaving it saddens me to think of leaving some of these people Ive grown attached to.God bless all of the staff & patients here in Jesus name Amen 🙏

I’ve had Stephanie as my councilor at this location for the duration of my time there and she is a Saint. She has done so much for me and has fought for me at times when I had no one else in my corner. Literally her only fault is that she wants to help more than she can at times and that’s hard for anyone, but truly she does more than enough on her end. I’ve watched her rise through the ranks as a new fresh-faced councilor to a battle tested veteran with the wisdom and experience supervisors and councilors alike will stop the show to consider. It was my 2015 overdose that made her jump in the fight to keep us all alive through narcan legislation and training/education of the fentanyl ridden streets of Minneapolis & Saint Paul, she tells me this all the time and still has the message on her phone from the day that it happened. She is literally a guardian angel that has kept me alive and told me what’s what when I needed to hear it more than anything. She is a warrior and a healer and I am proud to call her my councilor and friend.

Isaac and most case workers at this location are horrible. They will bounce you around , never give you a permanent case worker. Isaac is lazy and will do anything to not work with you as a person. This place used to be amazing but has turned into a methadone factory where you are just a number and that’s it’s. Shame on Isaac. Shame on Valhalla place BP.

Everyone is extreamly nice. At the end of the day it is a business. Sucks, but its the truth. No one likes to see someone suffering get turned away or tapered off. My insurance has covered it and I hope there will not be any surprises. My counselor has fought for me each time I have ran into problems. I was still using at the beginning and was honest about it, he didnt kick me out and rather fought for me to stay. Keep your ducks in a row insurance wise and youll get good care there.

The nursing staff are very friendly as well as the receptionists and security. As far as their treatment services, I feel like its ran more so like a money making business rather than a treatment for chemical dependency. The conversation to move past medication treatment to be free of drugs never comes up. Money. makes their world go round...not recovered sober addicts.

If you want to stop a nasty habit and have the chance to get your life back, this is a great place. You need to understand that this place is overflowing with clients and that its overpopulated compared to what it should realistically be, given how many members there are on the staff. Everyone that works there is very nice. The front desk is usually always welcoming and the counselors are awesome. Security is always very nice too. In light of overpopulation, you may have to wait in line for up to an hour (personal experience) depending on what time you go, if its a holiday and depending on how many windows are servicing clients. Usually I am in and out within 5-10 minutes as of late. On average I would say 20-30 min. They have a location in Woodbury as well.

Everybody is good there but Mary Kay the financial aid person is a terrible person. Go there for 3 years than shell tell you you have to pay ungodly amounts of money or you get to have fun withdrawling or using. Should be a crime what she does to the clients there and nobody else can help besides her so if your deal with her plan on finding a new place to go cuz she doesnt belong there.

This place isnt that bad. Dealing with Mary kay is a nightmare, she has a HUGE chip on her shoulder and a superiority complex. She may be very good at doing her job, but she doesnt belong at a place like this... she belongs at a county facility where it is acceptable to not want to help people and give them the run-around. The front desk people and the two security guys are always nice and friendly. The doctors and counselors can be hit or miss. I have been 100% honest with my counselors and the doctors from day one and because of my honesty, they have been extremely understanding and lenient with my recovery and relapses. If you can consistently drop clean drug tests, they will phase you up. With each phase up, they will give you more take home doses and eventually you will only have to come in once a month for a drug test, see your counselor and get your take home doses.
