I just happened to call Brooklyn Boulevard Dentalseveral years ago because I was having tooth pain and they were the clisest to my residence at the time. I was so impressed with how comfortable they made me feel and the plan they suggested to help me have healthy teeth that Ive since been going regularly and also had my entire family join the team. The staff is awesome and the doctors and hygienentists are superb. They are friendly, attentive and honest. I moved 5 miles away since my first visit but still take the trip because its worth it.

Over the 4th of July weekend I broke a tooth. I told my son about it and he referred me to Dr Spanish at Brooklyn boulevard dental. I made an appointment for the next day to see Dr Spanish. Dr Spanish made me feel comfortable and relaxed as he examined my tooth, he said I would need a crown and if I would like it done that same day. I said yes and within an hour I had a new crown. I had no idea that you could make a crown and have it put in within an hour at a dental office. Everything turned out great, Dr Spanish is my new dentist.

Been with Dr Spanish for many years. Moved to Brooklyn Boulevard Dental with him, always have received excellent service from all Doctors and techs here. BB Dental staff, facilities are 1st class. Follow up and assistance from staff always thorough & helpful. New tech enabled a one 2 hour appointment for a crown rather than coming back a second time. BB Dental continues to improve customer service! Hate going to dentist, but when needed, I and my family only go to BB Dental!

Since I was a teen my mother brought me here, i never truly appreciated this place until i had came back for a cleaning and check up at 26 years old. The job was always amazing and easy to come in and make sure I was taken care of myself and getting the right care. The dentist and assistants have a gentle touch and great personality thats warming and welcoming to make things comfortable as time goes on in the room. The front end does there job to make sure the building, patients and employees are safe. Fast acting in order to help make sure no grey areas may occur with payments or with check ups and they care to check in, especially after to build a relationship and actually know you. As I grew into a young man Ive appreciated the customer service and professionalism this place has given me and my family no matter the time (pandemic or pre pandemic) as an adult, they havent missed a step or beat with us. A lot of love and appreciation from this end to the staff that work here ❤

The best dentist and hygienist Ive ever had in my life. Dr Spanish is personal, thorough and explains everything in plain English. Never does anything until the time is right. Nikki is THE hygienist. Shes delicate, also very thorough and as nice as can be. Ask to see her fishing pictures. Amazing.

My wife and I started using Dr. Spanish and his team 12 years ago when he was located in New Hope, MN. We were immediately impressed with Dr. Spanishs caring and thoughtful approach to dentistry. We followed him to his present Brooklyn Center office when he moved. Besides semi-annual cleaning, he and his team have performed 5-6 crowns for my wife and me and a root canal for me. All procedures were done only when necessary and Dr. Spanish never pushes dental work. His office uses the latest technology yet keeps its prices reasonable - an admirable approach. His staff is excellent with my wife using hygienist Shelly and I use hygienist Jayne. His office is expert in working with insurance companies. My daughter and son-in -law joined Dr. Spanish two years ago even though they live in south Minneapolis. In summary, Dr. Spanish is the best dentist my wife and I have ever used!

The professionalism and friendliness of the whole team is outstanding, especially Dr. Spanish. My whole family has been going to Brooklyn Blvd Dental for many years now. We even moved to Andover a few years ago, and still make our way to Brooklyn Center to see them. They always find time to accommodate my 2 boys and myself at the same time for our cleanings. Just recently I told them my insurance would be changing before the year end, and they were able to squeeze me in for a same day crown just days before the year ended. Wife had terrible experience this week after making 3rd appointment to have problem teeth taken care of. First appointment was had last min dr switch as he was “busy”. 2nd appt only identified the issue and planned to come back in a month to address it. When scheduling 3rd appt for root canal wife insisted on scheduling a day where DR had enough time for her and was not double booked. When arrived she was told front desk may have told DR but he may have “forgot” her request. She was told Dr again did not have time to do root canal and was asked to again reschedule. These folks do not have care for peoples time and work schedule during this pandemic. We will be notifying Somali community via local news paper as well to get the word out.

I saw different dental hygienists each time & they both did a great job! Very knowledgeable and caring staffs! The last time there, I got a dental cleaning done and decided to ask if I could also get a small tooth filling right after. Instead of waiting weeks to schedule a different appointment, Dr. Spanish was willing to squeeze me in his schedule the same day. I didnt even have to wait long at all. I’ve been going to this dental office since before Dr. K took over ownership. I have also been to other dentists when away for winter months, so I can compare this operation with others. None of the other dentists I’ve seen are as good as Dr. Kotonias. He is professional, polite and knowledgeable of the latest advances in dentistry. He runs and efficient office, but he always has time to speak with his patients. I’ve had fillings, crowns and an implant. Everything he’s done has lasted and his prices are very competitive. Hygienists very thorough, caring and compassionate. And gentle. All of them take the time to develop personal relationships with their patients. They are kind and supportive. Dr. Spanish is thorough yet pragmatic, and I don’t ever feel pressured to do a lot of expensive, non- emergent work. I seriously love this team.

What a great place to get dental care.

I had to get upper dentures. Doctor Tu took care of me there he is very good at what he does he takes great care of his patients. He made sure they were everything I wanted gave me no problems coming back to get them adjusted he was very kind.

One of MANY positives is flexibility - I had an instance when Dr Spanish has come out on SUNDAY to get my dental issues taken care of.Not to mention friendly and VERY professional staff!!If I had more stars to rate, I could use them.

I’ve had so many bad experiences that I stopped going to any dentists at all. I had an accident earlier and several broken teeth in front that made me hide my smile. I still wouldn’t go anywhere. Until I had an abscessed molar and was referred here, so I tried them. Omg I’m so thankful I did. Not only did they NOT shame me for not getting in for dental work prior but they were warm and welcoming, they took care of my molar AND gave me my SMILE back. They fixed my front teeth without ridiculous amount of work. I can smile!!!! Best thing is: when I go there it feels like home. Highly recommend!!!

I started having tooth pain in the middle of all this COVID-19 stuff. I was due to see the dentist last month, but the stay at home order kept getting extended. Eventually it was too much to handle, I felt like something was wrong. I called this clinic and they were able to get me in on Monday the next week. Took xrays and all that, turns out nothing was really wrong but I do grind my teeth so that was causing my sensitivity. I feel like another dentist wouldn’t have had a problem over diagnosing and would’ve found something to drill, but the doctor was very straightforward in plain English to me. I appreciate the service I got, definitely will come back for a cleaning when we can leave our homes again.

I love the close-knit atmosphere of the entire practice, which makes going to the dental office a great experience. Dr. Tu is a highly skillful, professional, and energetic dentist. He always pays attention to detail and takes great time and diligence on the checkups and dental procedures for my family and I. My most recent hygienist, Kelly, was very aware of my comfort level and she gave me a very thorough cleaning while being very personable. After going to a chain dentists for years (my whole life probably) - I made the switch just a month ago to Brooklyn Blvd Dental. I have had serious issues with dental work for 20+ years - not able to get numb, getting 9-12 shots of anesthetic and still feeling the drilling. I was terrified of the dentist because of this - having super high anxiety every time I went in. I went to Brooklyn Blvd Dental for a cleaning which was super pleasant - everyone was super nice - I mean genuinely nice, not just fake nice because you are paying them like you would find at a chain dentist. Of course, I had a filling that broke so I had to get a filling. The first appointment I had for my filling, I cancelled because I was so anxious about it - despite them telling me that they would do everything to get me numb and they use a different anesthetic than other places thats a bit stronger. Well I still cancelled my first appointment the day of - and guess what? No one got mad and wanted to charge me any way - you know thats what those chain dentists do. Any way I made an appointment I kept for a couple weeks later and had my filling last night. I got the nitrous oxide (for the first time ever, I was never offered nitrous at my other dental offices) and then they numbed me. Then they numbed me again and again until I couldnt feel the cold test. Then they drilled. And I couldnt feel it. When the dentist finished I was so happy I was actually numb, I told him I wanted to hug him! They are magical! They will get you numb and they wont make you feel like an inconvenience. It was hands down the best dental experience I have ever had! Highly recommend this practice!

I have been going to Brooklyn Boulevard Dental for a little over 10 years, prior to that I had neglected my teeth because of a few horrible dental experiences years ago. I was referred here by a friend of mine, Dr Kotonias and his staff have been so amazing, they never shamed me for neglecting my teeth or not going to the dentist for so many years. We had to extract some teeth, and he consulted me on different options, decided to get some implants ( he hooked me up with an amazing Oral Surgeon at OMS) and now I have a new smile I can be proud of!!! Everyone of the staff there is amazing and make me feel like I am part of the family (I like to give them hugs). I am actually getting emotional writing this thinking of how far I have come with my smile since coming to Brooklyn Boulevard Dental. I live an hour away but it is worth the drive!
