Dr. Leigh is the best doctor I have ever had. She is compassionate, kind, thorough and extremely knowledgeable - everything you could ever hope to have in a physician. I am so grateful to have found her!

Awful service. I was supposed to see Dr. Pettyjohn at 9 am. I drove 40 minutes in morning traffic from where I live because of the wonderful reviews I saw. Usually the drive takes 20. When I called and informed the office that I was running late and that it was my first time going to their office so I was a bit lost, they told me about a 15 minute late policy that I had no idea about before. The front desk was nice and called Dr. Pettyjohn to see if she would still take me. Without any consideration or questions she responded no. I get it. Doctors are busy. However, for a first-time patient in this clinic, looking for help and guidance, I was shocked that they treat patients like this. There are tons of OBGYNs out there. Go somewhere else if you care about service and personalized care.

Dr. Parker was great! I dont have a simple health history and she took the time to really understand and speak with me about my health. She was thorough and very friendly. We have high standards when choosing doctors and Dr. Parker definitely hits the mark. I also had very good experiences with the office staff. Would definitely recommend.

Dr. OConnor is the best, she takes her time with you and makes sure that your problems are answered and fixed and makes going to the gynecologist not so bad, because its not exactly the most pleasant appointment to go to. She knows all the most up to date health and information and helped me find birth control that worked best for me and follows up appropriately. I travel all the way from CT to see her because she was my doctor here and I followed her to the new practice. Cant wait for her to be there on my journey of having babies in the future! The phone staff I talked to was also very pleasant and helped navigate me to give all my demographics with a service then make my appointment after.

The staff is very welcoming , I was called at the exact time of my appointment. The NP answered all questions and took her time with my appointment I didn’t feel rushed. I felt very comfortable she was actually using direct contact when communicating not using her lap top and talking to me at the same time. Definitely will recommend.

This office has been great. From the front desk to the PA the doctors. Zero wait time and very flexible hours. At the office had a chance to work with Dr. Leigh and Dr. Pettyjohns. My delivering doctor was Dr. OConnor and she was extremely supportive through out the whole process. Overall, I am super happy I found this office for my pregnancy. All of the doctors were supportive and always answered all my questions and reassured me.

Very accommodating getting me an appointment very quickly. The doctor I spoke with on the phone and the one I saw for my appointment were both great. Dr Parker did not rush me and gave me her undivided attention.

Dr. Ackerman is the most thorough physician I’ve seen. She never comes off as rushed even though you know it is a very busy practice. Always encourages her patients to ask questions. Dr. Ackerman delivered all three of my children and I felt like I was in the best hands possible.

The doctors and staff are extremely helpful, kind, and patient. I know I am always in good hands.

AMAZING experience! I started coming here when I found out I was pregnant. I saw all of the doctors through out my pregnancy but most often due to my schedule Dr. Pettyjohn. She ended up delivering my baby and I honestly can not speak more highly of her and the practice. We will 100% be back for baby #2!

Dr. leigh is. every attentive, friendly and professional.I don’t do reviews, but i feel Dr. Leigh deserves one from me. I have being with Dr. since the beginning of 2017 and she always makes me feel easy. She helped my delivered my lovely son. In my last appt for IUD consultation, she explained EVERYTHING about IUD to me. I felt i left the office well educate about IUD. I would recommended Dr. Leigh to anyone who need a professional who show she cares.

I felt Dr. Ackerman was wonderful with her thorough review of my medical history and exam. Appreciated her explanations. She was everything one hopes her MD to be.

I would like to say that I NEVER write reviews… but when I had to google the practice to look at hours my jaw dropped with the (in my opinion) inadequate star rating.I’ve been a patient here for 4 years and absolutely LOVE Dr. Leigh. Friends that I have referred to her also say the same. In addition to her, when I have had “urgent” visits with other MDs every other physician has been wonderful. Scheduling is easy, the other team members are always polite. The ultrasound office upstairs is also WONDERFUL and the techs/radiologists discuss their findings then and there.

The staff at Commonwealth OB-GYN are so warm, caring and competent! They are patient, knowledgable and understanding. I really cant say enough good things about the care I have received as a patient here.

We have had the most amazing doctor deliver both our babies, Dr. Pettyjohn. She is always so patient and thorough and we never feel rushed at appointments. She is always on time. Having a long history to get pregnant Dr. Pettyjohn was so understanding of the anxieties we had thought the pregnancies. Not only is she super amazing and supportive her team is as well from the front desk to the NP to the other doctors in the practice. We would highly recommend this office to any expecting mom.

Dr. Ackerman is amazing! Ive been treated by her for a long time and she has always been excellent. The waiting area is good and the staff is efficient and friendly.

To begin with, funniest thing about this place is it is a obs/ Gyn clinic. One is advised to drink lot of water in pregnancy, and they do not even have a water fountain. Timeliness is a big issue. If doctor is running late, it is not an issue. If you are running late, they reschedule u same day after couple if hours. In my experience, never be decent to call n let them know that you might be late. I left my baby home for my last visit, I was late due to his health condition and traffic of MA. I decently called them and anyways, if I had not called doctor was running late. But I had to wait in that condition for 1.5 hr in their office. First visit is always nice but then they rush you through appointment. once before, nurse practitioner left appointment halfway by saying I have to leave. Doctors are good and thorough but giving information in normal pregnancy is minimal. I had to largely rely on pregnancy and for that.

This year marks 10 years that I have been a patient with Commonwealth OB-GYN (Dr. Ackerman). I love the atmosphere of the office, the staff is always professional and Ive never had an issue with making an appointment. Phone calls are always returned as well!!! I live just over an hour away and the deive is worth it every time!!!

Dr. Ackerman is the best. Trust her so much and the entire practice is outstanding.

This is the most wonderful OB-GYN practice! They have delivered 3 of my 4 babies, and all of my experiences with the physicians and NPs have been extremely positive. They always listened to my concerns, and I feel so lucky to be in their expert care. This practice came highly recommended by my colleagues, and now I recommend them to every woman that I know.

Dr. Ackerman (and every staff member I encountered) was incredibly warm and helpful, talking me through concerns I had and preparing me for my surgery and recovery. I felt well cared for throughout.

Do not see Dr. Neelima Katragadda. I have never had such a horrible experience seeing a doctor. She dismissed me immediately and refused to listen to my symptoms or take me seriously. Her recommendation was exercise for very serious symptoms that continue to affect my life. I left distraught and am seeking help with another physician because of my terrible experience. DO NOT see this physician.

Absolutely best OB experience I could have ever asked for! Love the practice and especially Dr. Pettyjohn. She helped me through early complications in my first pregnancy and has been amazing now for my second pregnancy. In fact, I am rarely in the city, but still drive in over an hour for all my appoinments because there is no way I will go to a different practice for this pregnancy. I never wait for my appointments and they even take me in early when I arrive ahead of time. Ultrasounds are done in the same building and bloodwork can be done at Quest on the first floor - SO easy and convenient. I could not ask for more!

Very professional and sympathetic staff.

I was a patient of Dr. Leighs, she was always polite, educated me on my health status and took her time with me during appointments.Part of the process while pregnant and a patient of Commonwealth OBGYN is to meet with all doctors who may end up delivering your baby. Every doctor I met with during my routine visits was inappropriately late, I waited well over 30 minutes each time - and that is AFTER being brought back to the patient room. Dr. Ackerman and Pettyjohn rushed my prenatal apointments. Looking back now, I should have yelled at them to slow down, it was just really poor, poor treatment from those two doctors.I ended up having issues and delivering my baby early so my care was transferred to BWH high risk doctors. My advice to expectant mothers is to just go and deal directly with BWH, you are going to end up delivering there anyway.If anyone from Commonwealth OBGYN is reading this - please make more of an effort to turn your phones on during business hours. I would constantly call and be put through to an answering service and I understand that is normal for when you are closed but Monday - Friday 9-5 this is not acceptable. Hire another receptionist, just dont make your patients constantly call the answering service and have to wait for a call back.

I love this place!I went through complete hell durimg my first pregnancy. The doctors were amazing. When I discovered I was pregnant with my first, I was 6 wks along. I had already been to 3 other places before becoming a patient at Commonwealth. All places told me I was going to misscarry before 3 mons. I even had one place try to prepare/convince me mentally that I was going to lose my son (who is now a year old by the way).I suffered from preeclampsia, infections & hyperemesis gravidarum (extreme morning sickness) and honestly if it wasnt for Dr Leigh, Jessica (the nurse practitioner) , Dr Ackerman and Dr PettyJohn, I dont think I would have gotten through the pregnancy.My son was born last year and is perfect.When I found out I was pregnant with my second child, I had no doubt where I wanted to go for prenatal care. I returned to Commonwealth and though I delivered early, the doctors were extremely helpful and still are. I am 1 week pp with my daughter.I havent had any issues with them and if I ever get pregnant again, I will gladly return to Commonwealth.
