Excellent massage in an awesome environment. Very relaxing and effective experience. Mara was very open to my individual needs and requests, and added her own expertise to treat some problem areas Ive been struggling to overcome.

So far Ive gotten two massages​ with Mara and Ill definitely be coming back for more! What I love about her is that each massage has felt specific to my needs and I feel she listens to my requests. Her experience and training shows during our sessions together. Also, the space is super quiet, clean, and relaxing. I have been seeing Mara for a few months, she has been helping me with my shoulder, neck and lower back tension. She has an intuitive sense of pressure, it never feels too deep but it is very effective as well as relaxing. She is very welcoming and warm. Highly recommend!

Mara is very attentive, extremely knowledgable and so personable. Really great massage in a cozy, warm and totally unpretentious environment. If you are very sensitive to noise, Id recommend letting Mara know so you can schedule your treatment at a time when the larger space (the rowing studio) is empty/quiet.

Don’t let the fact that Mara is new practitioner make you hesitate to see her. She is very adept at her skills and can offer different types of massage. She has a natural talent for body work and is very good at listening to her customers. She spends time during your first meeting working with you to figure out what level of pressure you prefer and what your “problem” areas are. Having gone from a manual labor job to a desk job, Mara was able to notice the shifting of muscle tightness in my body. Her space is small and cozy, and the atmosphere is relaxing. I look forward to my next visit with Mara!

Had my first massage with Mara yesterday and I will definitely be back for more. I liked her approach and how much attention she really gave to the areas I was most concerned about, she clearly has a deep knowledge of how the body works. The space is a little untraditional but kind of a hidden gem if youre looking for a massage where youre not just a number!

Fantastic massages! Deep tissue massage that doesn’t hurt at all because she’s so strategic and adept at working the muscles correctly. Mara was so receptive to exactly what was going on in my body and what I wanted help with. She took time to talk with me at the beginning to understand what is going on with me and my body and what I wanted to focus on, and then she got to work really focusing on those needs. It’s not a general massage where the therapist has a set routine to just go over your whole body and do a relaxing massage (I’m sure she can do that too but I loved that she could focus on certain pains I was having)! Mara clearly knows so much about the body and muscles and how it all works together. She spent a lot of time in areas I didn’t think were hurting at first but then I realize that by working on those areas she knew it would loosen up the actual problem. I was amazed.

Ive been seeing Mara for an hour session every week for two years now and I dont think I could function nearly as well without her. She just knows how to find all your knots and tangles and goes about working them out. Indispensable! My week is not my week without her great bodywork skills. She helps me connect to my body too, and then my mind gets integrated with my body more. Its like having a car where the steering wheel is not connected to the wheels and then she connects it for you! Its truly a body/mind treat. I cant say enough about her!

Mara is SO BOMB! She really listens and reflects back what you’re needing and is a wealth of knowledge on how the muscles interact with each other and the best course of action for relieving aches and pains. She is also a detective! She’ll help you find the cause of your pain. For me, My lower and mid back were sooo sore. I’m an Esthetician and she had an inkling that my treatment table was an inch too low causing me to bend over each time I saw a client. I raised it an inch and my back pain is gone!!! Now she can go back to working on all the stress knots in my shoulders :) 10/10 recommend!
