Other than the fact that they were a bit late to open and a little expensive I had a great experience. Tammy gave me a gel mani/pedi and did a wonderful job. Honestly the massage chairs for pedicures are almost as good as an actual massage so it kind of makes up for the price. Color is gel #122 if youre wondering 😉

I have been going there for years would have always rated it at the top. While they do a great job I have found lately that they are rude. They are too busy talking and laughing amongst themselves and do not talk or even seem to care about their customers. Very disappointed when I have always loved going there before. I hope they change the way they treat their customers. Have had a lot of friends complaining lately also.

I had a friend of mine and myself go get the most basic set you could as for. A white tip set. Very bubbly wasn’t even worried about customers. More worried about phones and talking to other people then us. Sadly disappointed. And neither of us will probably return !

I came in for my first acrylics yesterday. The lady who did my nails was very good at her job and I loved the result. I asked for coffin nails, with some length but not too much, and she did a wonderful job. I love my nails and will be coming back as much as I can.

They do a wonderful job with my ingrown toenails on the pedicure and I love the manicure with gel.

Always enjoy going there. Monthly routine since July 2013 when a friend insisted I come get acrylic nails as a gift from her. Thought it was.a waste of time and money. My nails have been done ever since. Nails dont break, chip, or split anymore. Cuticles arent red and splitting.

I made an appointment for a gel manicure (cannot stress enough- make an appointment!) and was seen right on time. Long was funny, fast, and easy to talk to. I’ll be back!

They were super busy. Nice staff! They have pedicure chairs just for children. James did my nails he sang quietly almost every song played from various genres. He was also very thoughtful and attentive. Wonderful experience! Also I loved that the environment wasnt over stimulating. They had two tvs, both on mute, variety of low playing background and the staff speak infrequently and softly.

I made an appointment for 12:30, because I was told I would be SERVICED at 12:30. 20 minutes go by and NOTHING, I decided to leave and right as I got up they want to tell me “someone will do your nails soon”, the whole time no one communicated with me that my appointment would run later than usual or explain why. Very unprofessional and disrespectful of my time.

James did my nails today and they look exactly like the picture. I’m terrible at matching colors from Pinterest photos and he helped me out and came through! These prices are fair too!

Took my daughter for her 6th birthday and it was great. They have the special kids pedicure chairs which made it even more special for her. Our nails turned out beautifully and shes hooked. Ready to go back anytime.

It was busy. Fastest pedicure ever. Staff was friendly, so I would try it again when less busy.

The tech that did my pedicure was rude, I had to ask her to come back and put more polish on because she didnt completely cover my toe nails, and when I left I still had dry callus on my heels. If I could give ZERO stars I would.

Honestly, I don’t get my nails done often but I’ve definitely found my new place! My nails look absolutely amazing, James who did my nails was very friendly, and made sure I had a great experience! Definitely would recommend to anyone!!

Ok so I went in there and they did a 5minuete pedicure and charged for both of my feet even though I just go one foot painted bc I have a cast on. I got the powder dip and it turned out terrible I asked for white but I got grey and I asked for a design and they were absolutely ugly I dont recommend they charged extra for everything. The man who did my nailes left me at the desk while my nails were under that light and didnt put them away or anything he just left the salon

This is the closest nail salon to us in the area. The place is big and clean. The staff is friendly and they do good work. They are nice to kids and make them feel special. They do get quite busy and even when you make an appointment, you have to wait sometimes. The prices are also on the high side in my opinion. For an adult and 2 young kids to get pedicures it cost over $80.

Went in for pedicure and gel acrylic nails and the lady I had was very rude did not ask the length, shape, and when it came to the color I showed her a picture to help me find the color she told me you can’t expect me to know that when she had the colors in front of her. Also when she used the nail file she cut the side of my finger and I informed her of that and she ignored me.

The owner of the shop, and the staff in general was very nice. They was incredibly hospitable and went the extra mile to ensure that my sister and I were happy with everything. Shes amazing! All the other women who work there are also fantastic! Highly recommend.

This is a nice salon, very upscale. Its comfortable and the products are high end. The prices are a little high too. I wish the pedicure massage was longer, but all in all, it was a nice experience.

They were very nice and did a wonderful job on my nails, as well as my 5 year old daughters nails. They were so sweet to her and gave her the cutest little flowers on her nails.

I was really surprised by the quality of this place! Wonderful high level of service. The work was meticulous and thorough. I showed them a picture of the way I wanted to get my nails done and got quoted a price. My nails are perfect. I have nothing but good things to say about this salon. A friend and I arrived a few minutes before our appointment. We were seated within five minutes of arriving, then waited and waited and waited. Not one person came to us and stated that they were behind or if we had time to wait or would like to reschedule. They did look busy, however when other customers arriving after us were being started ut was getting frustrating, as it was now over a half an hour after our appointment that my friend was just getting started. She decided not to get color as we were an hour after our appointment and I wasnt even started. Then they asked her for the full price of the pedicure, which she did not receive. I have not had an experience like this before, but wish they would have not taken our appointment this afternoon if they didnt have the time.

Very thorough with my cuticals and nails. Very sweet and accomading to both my daughter and I so that we could share a fun experience together. Defiantly coming back!!

Oscar Nails Spa is FABULOUS!! Ive tried a few other nail salons in the Brookings and Oscar Nails Spa is the best.The atmosphere is relaxing, everything is clean and while I got lucky today. They did tell me to call ahead as they were unusually slow. Everyone was super friendly, they had many polishes colors and even had the newest colors set apart. The nail techs was awesome!!! She took her time, not rushed like most places do. Oscar Nails Spa is my second time there but definitely not my last, I love everything as long as the atmosphere is clean, reasonable price, and the nail technician enable help to me when i need and they always keep a smile on their face!Definitely coming back, will be my nail place moving forward.

They have the nicest people ever! They will gladly make conversation with you if u like. I have gotten my nails done there for all proms and weddings. 10/10 would recommend.

I gave this place a try today based on the reviews. AMAZING SERVICES! The place was seem a little sketch when you pull up, so beautiful. The staff was very patient thorough and educate my nail upkeep. Its really great! I get nails and I have to say its quite adorable. Will never go anywhere else. 10/10 poitns to YOU!

I get fills here regularly and they always do a wonderful job, the nails aren’t too thick or thin and always hold up well! I got a pedicure recently as well and the woman did a great job!

I had an appointment scheduled, 15 minutes later they waved me over. Water for my pedicure was piss warm, not relaxing & felt hurried. Worst part was when they took used toe spacers from the drawer to use & put them back in drawer when they were done with me. Wouldnt recommend a pedicure there.

They did not pay me a whole lot of attention, I had never gone here before and it seemed like I was being discarded. When my nails were finally done they were all crooked and not the same lengths and to be frank, looked awful. I do not recommend coming here and I definitely will not be going back

Used to love this nail salon but after tonight I will never go back - see pictures of what I asked for and what I got instead for over $60 outrageous!

Have chosen here two days ago for my birthday. My staff was kind and cute. And she always listens to my special snowflake needs. Theyre still very sanitary with disposable buffer pads. I plan on coming here every couple of months!

I wanted to take off my nails and I got exactly that, even though they were soo busy.

We went there for a girls night out. And they told us they tried calling us but had the wrong number because they wanted us to come in early. I asked how long are you open and they said 7 it was only 6, and then the man there said they want to go home to their family too they work 7 days a week. I wanted to flip out who wants to hear this when we came to relax. Then he started to vacuum while we were there. They were so rude and this happens almost every time. So disturbing!

I have been going here for over 2 years and used to get great, friendly service. Just in the last 9 months the new guy in charge is rude and NOT customer service oriented. I went in for a fill today, always schedule an appointment but wait a min of 10 minutes to be seated AS ALWAYS. First question he asks is Did you get your nails done here??? Even when I do, he asks. If you dont, he will criticize work done by previous nail sculptor. He flat out told me my nails were So ugly! and then continued to show and laugh with his co-worker about his opinion of my nails. Even when I said, Excuse me? My nails are ugly? He said, Yes they are! I should take a picture! He even continued to tell me, Ask anyone in here, theyll tell you the same! I have never been treated so poorly in my life! I felt bullied, harassed, and made fun of and I WAS THE CUSTOMER!!!! I work in customer service and this would never happen anywhere else in the city of Brookings. If he hadnt started grinding on them before insulting me I would have walked out, but endured the harassment until he finished and said I would not be back, he said, Im not worried about that! I am still in shock of what just happened!!!

Easily the worst pedicure. i chose the heavenly milk and honey pedicure with hit stone massage. it was awful there was very little exfoliating,massage, mask didnt sit long enough and the foot pumice was barely used. the paraffin dip was nice. but the hot stone massage was pretty much why i purchased it. yep complete disappointment between the first massage being non existent and the stones barely being used... will never return. my friend also went with me she purchased the traditional/basic pedicure....lets just say she had pieces of skin hanging from her foot. the pedicure services were awful.

I dont get my nails done often and decided to treat myself. By the time I was done I felt I had wasted my money and my time. When we entered the salon we were hurried to pick a color and the manager or owner was very rude. The woman who did my nails did not listen when I told her the length and shape I wanted my nails. She was rude and talked on her phone the entire time. The final result was crooked and uneven nails. Very unhappy and will not be returning.

I usually love Oscar Nails, but yesterday when I went in for a mani pedi the last was on her cell phone the entire time and would stop numerous times to argue on the phone. My appointment was at 1 and I didnt get out of there until 2. Then when I went to get my manicure done she did not ask me if the color was correct and ended up putting a completely different color on it. Then proceeded to keep calling the person she was arguing with. Im not sure if it was just the one women who is like this but I hope I dont have her ever again. Not worth the time or money 🙁

Ive been to a few salons in the Brookings area and Oscar is the best work for the best price for sure! Many employees are very friendly as well. Only coming here from now on.

Not a great pedicure. My nails werent even.

I made appt to have 4 pwdicures. Appts were scheduled for 230.. 3 of us got in at 255, the other at 315. My moms basin of water was cold, not room temperature but cold.. not very relaxing.. the guy laughed when he felt her cold wet foot.. never did get her warm water! One in our group had very dry heals on foot and the guy (I won’t name names) kept saying they were as tough as shark bites, rough as ... u fill in the blank, basically very loudly said anything u could think of that was sharp and would giggle w guy beside him.. the men would talk in a different language back/forth to each other, laughing constantly, and as a paying customer, it was very uncomfortable. Downright RUDE! The first thing my poor mom said when we walked out the door is she wondered the whole time what in the world they were joking about back and forth.. made for very UNCOMFORTABLE pedicures.. time which should b relaxing...My Mom and I added 2 strokes of glitter polish each to the TIP OF OUR BIG TOE and we’re charged an EXTRA $10 for this.. 2 strokes of glitter polish.. no design, artwork, creativity, nothing... just 2 tiny strokes on tip of 4 toes total = $10? 🙁 The other gal in our party of 4 rcvd a total of 15 minutes from start to finish, including soaking, pedicure, polish, etc.. I believe they felt rushed as we had all been done for awhile.. I don’t believe we will b back. Quality was fair, (price was not worth the $160) cleanliness/sterilization was fair AT BEST, and service was one step above horrible....

Horrible! Horrible! Horrible!... I went in to Oscar nails to get a full set of acrylic. I asked them not to make the tip too wide because I dont like it. Although she didnt make the tip too wide, she did put the tip halfway down my natural nail bed. When I called back to let them know that I did not like my nails, they said there was nothing they would do for me. So I just pretty much wasted $45 for nothing... I would not recommend this place for anybody to go to EVER... they were absolutely unwilling to make the situation better....
