I highly recommend this facility for people who have Alzheimers. My grandmother visited this place in 2013-2014 and she refused lunch there. My family was looking for care options for her because she had Alzheimers. I like looking at the facilities online. The best part of the memory care unit is the structured activities. Bingo, Target Toss, art, Singalongs and other activities are done in the memory care unit. I think the Singalongs are fun because the people with Alzheimers will most likely remember the lyrics to the Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin songs. The Singalongs are at various times a day. I love many of Frank Sinatras and Dean Martins songs. The one thing that I would donate for the memory care unit is lots of baby clothes. Years ago, there was a resident who liked to fold baby clothes and this was around the time my grandmother visited the memory care unit. Unfortunately, the woman who folded the baby clothes passed away. I would like to donate baby clothes because a lot of women with Alzheimers had children and folding baby clothes made the women reminisce of raising young children and babies. The assisted living section has multiple activities including computer use and games. The games are played in the Card Room. The facilities are very clean and there are different outings for the residents in both the memory care section and the assisted living section. I know the facility is beautiful. The memory care unit is locked. Family members will have to get the access code when their loved one with Alzheimers moves in. The people answering the phone are very nice and they told me that bingo is an activity they do at night often. I called Heights Crossing about bingo and they took their time to tell me that bingo was that night. I love the rooms in the Assisted Living side. One is the Card Room. I love the layout of the Card Room. If I need Alzheimers care or assisted living in the future, this place is for me. The reason why I will look into Heights Crossing is the various types of activities and that the Singalongs are very popular with residents. I love singing along to music and the Singalongs will be perfect for me in the future. I love doing things in groups and I would make friends with other residents. There are two floorplans. I love the memory care program because they also do trivia activities and supervised outings. The Compass Memory Support program is well run and I recommend it to family members of people in the Brockton area with Alzheimers. I love how people can join the residents for lunch if they are on a tour. Assisted living is not like a nursing home because it is less medical and people maintain their independence. There is a salon on site. The lobby is gorgeous!

There could be no assisted living facility that has a staff that cares more about their residents than Heights Crossing. This has always been the case, but became ever more apparent during these challenging COVID-19 days. The love, the care, the concern and dedication of the staff and management is extraordinary. Our mom knows how lucky she is to be a resident at this special place. We, her children, are so grateful.
