I deeply appreciate the help I always get from Griselda (The associates director of admissions) ! She is great in helping me with any questions I have or if I need help with anything in general. She is fast and very nice. Always a pleasure to communicate with her. She was the first person I made contact with when I was initially interested in the school. She was one of the reasons I ended up attending. 5 stars would recommend!

I was very nervous about the process, doubted myself and had a bit of anxiety of not knowing if I was going to be able to navigate the apps., and the curriculum properly as I am not very tech savvy.Griselda Calderon has been amazing throughout this whole new adventure. Griselda was and still is completely available and patient with me. Stay away. THE NURSING PROGRAM HAS BEEN ON ACADEMIC PROBATION FOR THE PAST FOUR YEARS. Most of their students do not pass the NCLEX exam. The school fails to disclose that the program has been on probation. When questioned what would happen to the students if the school doesnt get out of probation, the dean of the school gives an attitude and says she doesnt know. When asked if she would contact the State to find out, she stated why would I contact the state and Im not going to do that. Its clear the school is only there to collect money and doesnt have the best interest in the students. The program, which is an associates degree, costs more money than a bachelors program. If youre interested in wasting your money, dealing with a dean that doesnt care about your concerns or your career, than join them.On a side note, the technology is horrible. The internet is so slow that you can barely load the professors materials online.

Let me just start by saying this. The advisors are amazing great spirited people. However, nc is a completely unorganized mess. The system is outdated. I did enjoy a few of my professors however the technology there is not up to date whatsoever. Clinicals are a hot mess. I did enjoy my professors Monique Barnes, Kimberly Williams and Dianalyn Newman.Additionall Northwestern is not good with keeping students in the loop regarding policy changes immediately as they come or notifying students about things that are of importance to their academic success. I was in a car accident and withdrew from one of my classes last session and the new withdraw policy only allows for 1 withdraw before you are dismissed. The school did not take into consideration my car accident and did not care. The Dean Lauren Spraggins practically said “wellp” in my opinion when I was dismissed. Even though I could appeal and return It iS MANDATORY to sit out a session after an appeal. Northwestern costs way to much to be this run down.I only gave this school two stars because I do like the advisors and some professors.

Homework and the stress that goes with potential failure is no help to the everyday pressures that I contend with on a daily basis. Brenda Williams/Success Coach helped me to keep my goal in sight. Through the murk of responsibility that I wander through her messages and quotes were a light that kept me on a positive path. Her consistent messages and inspiring words also allowed me to feel like someone cared about my progress. Not to say that my professors didn’t care but they are just as distracted as I am wandering in a fog of their own. Online classes are lonelier than traditional school without peers to speak with or teachers to interact with without the need for a keyboard or 24 hr waits for responses . There is so much need to be self motivated that consistency can become difficult to manage. Thank You Brenda Williams /Success Coach . My experience with this college will be rated differently however my nursing advisor Griselda C. has been great and extremely supportive since she’s been my advisor. I remember I wanted to drop of Med Surg and she was very supportive letting me know my options, understanding me being frustrated and indecisive during the entire process up until I passed the class, I was even happy to tell her I passed because she stayed in communication with me. Later I after passed pediatrics my financial aid and loans had gotten messed up and my classes couldn’t get updated and I wouldn’t have been able to start school on time, I called Griselda and not only was she polite and supportive and responded fast she stayed in communication AGAIN gave me people to call and remained supportive until everything was done so I can finish my nursing program and for that I am extremely grateful. It’s not every school that has people who care and are willing to make sure there students succeed but she did and that’s worth everything to a student.

Honestly do not waste your money, the lab is out of date. We are not getting clinical time when other schools/hospitals are allowing students to come back to the hospitals . Emails are not responded to and information is not given. Everything is always last minute or just not communicated to us. Professors are good but there is only so much they can do. You cannot be a nurse without getting hands on experience. I did my research to find the right school for me and I was wrong. I thought the comments people made about the school were based on the student failing. This is not the case. I am aware we are in a pandemic but they are not setting us up for success. If nursing classes were transferable others and myself would have transferred to another school.

Even though you’re in a smaller class learning, you learn something once and that’s it, you better remember from the first time. Starting here, I was told I was going to learn all these things to benefit my healthcare experience, I barely learned. 25k is honestly down the drain. Ive been out of school for so long and I didnt know where to start but an Angel, Griselda Calderon, has been nothing short of Amazing. Griselda has made my transition so seamless from start to finish with the enrollment process. My goal is to advance in my current profession and I have found a good start here with the courses provided. In short, I give 5 Stars as with each visit, I encountered friendly staff, immaculate facility, and an overall personalized experience.

I haven’t been enrolled in college in 20 years. I have loads of work experience in the customer service industry and medical field and as more opportunities presented themselves, the necessity for a degree became paramount. I honestly didn’t know how or where to start but once I showed I was interested in NC, I was immediately contacted by Rachael Miller; the rest is history and my future! Rachael made herself easily accessible, answered my questions or directed me to someone who could and by making herself readily available(even on weekends), she has made this journey all the more easier! What seemed like it happened too quickly( I reached out for information at the end of May and was enrolled June 22nd), actually became a great fit because she made sure everything was transparent! There were some hiccups with financial aid, however, myself, my patient FA(Eloisa Romero) and Rachael, made sure everything worked out for the best and I am proud to be a student and future graduate of the HIT program at NC! Great faculty, professors and programs/classes!

I had the pleasure of working Cynthia K., a student advisor at Northwestern College Bridgeview campus. She was amazing to work with. She is very thorough and quick in getting all the paperwork done. I wanted to be enrolled in the nursing program as soon as possible and Cynthia helped guide me in the right direction. I was very happy with her work and her effort. I can tell she enjoys her work which is why she is so good at it.

My experience at Northwestern College so far has been a good one. I have been here for a year now and I can say I have ran across some great and helpful staff. Two of them being from the business office and they Ms. Booker and Mr. Wolfe. They have been extremely helpful and anytime I needed anything they have both went above and beyond for me. You can tell they really care about the students and want nothing but for us to succeed. I definitely appreciate them for always being an advocate for me. I honestly can say I probably would not have been able to make it this far without them both!

Im in love with my new school. I walked into a very welcoming environment. I love that my admission coordinator Rachael Miller took everything step by step with me and really broke down what i would be doing. I love how she hold me accountable and believes in me its always great to have that positive energy . I also love how my financial aid advisory Alexis Brown did everything she could to best fit me and my pockets and I love how everything was very planned out and I was suited to the best of my ability to become a great student. Im very proud to be apart of the northwestern family.

First I am NOT paid shill. I am totally reviewing this as an independent person acting on my own. These are my words. Also , Its interesting that some people are giving bad reviews and some are giving good reviews for the same program for example nursing.I am a former NC graduate from the radiography program. I was able to skip the waiting list that other schools had for radiography and get right into this one although at a premium price. It worked. I graduated 3 years ago and I have been working the job in radiography that NC career Department referred me to since then. Those are the facts. My only main complaint is the price point. Its too expensive. Otherwise, I would have gave it 5 stars because it fulfilled its purpose: it gave me a job in the career field I signed up for.

Northwestern College have been a great experience and all the instructors you have are very helpful. Even student services is always there to help you on anything. Especially Kelly Shaver, she is awesome person to talk to. When I have question about something she was the person I would go see. Even my advisor David Pena was awesome because he would check up on you to see how things are going and even was there to answer any questions to. I always recommend friends about Northwestern College when they say they want to go back to school.
