I had a wonderful time in acute rehab, the therapists, made it fun and rewarding. I came in to the hospital unable to walk and now I can walk independently, which was my goal. The food was so good, and the service was excellent. My pain medication was always on time. My room was clean and straighten up daily. I was treated like a king, like their only patient. I would definitely recommend this facility. On a scale of 1 to 10 and 10 being the best, I would give a 20.

I suffered from a smashed right kneecap and broken left ankle.I would like to say THANK YOU to my Rehabilatators, Nurses & nurse assistants who where willing to listen to me and concentrate on my individual needs to graduate. I know I’m missing some individuals but you know who you are!Dr Cassie⭐️ & Justine⭐️ Who where my main Rehabilatators. Also Bradley, Alyssa, and Kaitlyn(Katy)My Nurses and nurse assistants. Ceciley, Keana,Priscilla, Jalessa, Carmella, Breonna, Shawn⭐️ And especially Sani🌟 Everyone offered me endless encouragement & the food was fantastic.

Debbie my cm was awesome. She was very quick on getting my FMLA papers. I received immediate assistance when needed.

My brother was here and he said like the facility it was nice and clean the therapy staff was really helpful to him also the doctors he said he going to miss us

The staff are helpful and they assist you promptly. They are very professional and give you attention. I feel a 100% better. Ppl

A great place to mend and make friends. Truly a place where real angels abound. I was there 3 weeks-almost dead-and they pulled me back to the living.

I came in to acute rehab at bridgeton 11days ago and was not able to raise my right arm d/t fx shoulder from a year ago and botched surgery. Now i can raise my arm. Therapist was confident in my ability to move my arm. They were kind and great.

Over my 7 week stay I could honestly say it was the worst 7 weeks of my life the staffing is horrible they are always Low staffed, I know because the employees would always complain about it. THE CNAs are horrible and all have attitudes there were only two amazing CNAs that worked in the unit that I was on, the nurses were fine, not amazing, their staff should really be trained more on bed side manors because that’s what this facility lacks the most. The therapist and therapy program was the only good part about this place! Therapist are kind, patient and always willing to help ! The nursing and Cna staff will not take proper care of your loved one. I do not recommend choosing this facility to send a loved one to,, I personally have seen and heard CNAs laugh and joke about patients who couldn’t do for themselves, there is no care or compassion with this staff they are lazy, they never do their charting and force you to take medication that you don’t need as a result.

When my mother was first admitted the staff was nice, well into 2 weeks of her stay, my brothers and I noticed a change, lack of staff over the weekends, they have lazy nurses and especially nurse techs. They are extremely slow when she calls the nurse call button. There are seveal nurse techs that have a attitude, rude as well. There are only a handful of outstanding nurses and they are spread thin. The Supervisor Nurse is no better. I cant believe this location was highly recommended. Seems they hire so many young incompetent employees that dont know what they are doing, they too busy laughing and goofying off. I expected way more from this place.

My father was here for almost 6 weeks. He’s had on and off health challenges for the past 8 to 10 years, and the staff at this facility has been the most friendly and attentive we have ever experienced.

My mother in law was admitted to this place on 1/30/18. There have been issues with these people since the first night of her stay. We have had three major incidents already! Some of the CNAs and the Case Manager (Donna) are rude, unprofessional, and lack the most basic customer service skills and patient care abilities. They are insensitive and lack the compassion required of people in this industry.We reported our experiences to the case manager, Nursing Supervisor, and Director of Nursing, and requested our mother be transferred to another facility IMMEDiATELY!The Nursing Supervisor and Director of Nursing appeared at least sensitive to the needs of their customers and exhibited concern and understanding during a terrible time for our family exacerbated by horrible experiences with some of the staff at this facility. The case manager, however, was rude, inconsiderate, unprofessional, displayed no compassion, and was simply ignorant. We have since learned that she LIED when she submitted the request to the insurance company for the lateral transfer. She reported “the family is requesting a move to an alternate facility because we were not granted options prior to coming to SSM”, which is a blatant lie. We SPECIFICALLY communicated to Donna we wanted her moved because of the poor quality of care, appearance of neglect and verbal abuse, our fear of retaliation against our mother because of our complaints, and the lack of customer service at SSM.We chose this rehab hospital over a skilled nursing facility because we were afraid our mother would be treated poorly and the quality of care would not meet our standards. I’m not convinced this choice provided an improved environment considering either of the aforementioned criteria.
