Dr. Katz takes the time to listen and answer questions. I like that in a doctor so many of my others rush you.He treats me for my left Shoulder and both knees.

Handles Workmans compensation cases and takes insurance. Wont force you into anything, but gives you all the options available. Honest. Great doctor . Performed successful rotator cuff surgery on me after a baseball injury . Was back on the diamond within a year with a stronger armAlso saw him after a no fault car accident where a drunkard driving a Ford 250 rear ended us at the corner of Frank and Main then tried to push us aside like he was ( Gravedigger) driving a monster truckWhat was most disappointing about that experience was he was connected , told me so, and sure enough the corrupt Bridgeport cop put him back behind the wheel of his vehicle without a sobriety testBut back on point, Dr. Katz diagnosed me with a neck injury and sent me to therapy with Park City therapistsIm also currently seeing him about a shoulder injury and the reoccurring neck pain

This doctor was a complete waste of time. I think i may have injured one of my hands and my knee after a crash on my bike, he saw me for 5 mins & his solution was for me to take ibuprofen & to test me for arthritis.He had another 5 min follow-up with me to tell me the arthritis tests came back negative so his conclusion was i definitely have arthritis & i need a stronger anti-inflammatory.I am not sure what kind of orthopedic completely glazes over the information when you tell him you hurt yourself doing something, & cant even be bothered to do an x-ray (he said his machine was broken, it must be the only machine in town). I am also not sure how a doctor diagnoses arthritis by looking at a patient for 5 minutes (i must have looked arthritic), and expects to put them on stronger anything when the one test he did came out negative.He got annoyed when i seemed dissatisfied with his no-basis diagnosis, & finally agreed to send me somewhere else to get an x-ray, huffing & puffing as though i were inconveniencing him. He asked me to call him at the end of the day to discuss, & i was told he was with a patient & hed call me back... which he didnt. I called back the next day to get told by a receptionist that the doctor had tried to get ahold of me (no he didnt) to tell me the x-ray was negative. No explanation of the results, no info what to do next, nothing. Great help!

Saw him for less than 15 minutes and he handed me a waist brace and sent me on my way. Horrible!

Kind. Caring. I drive an hour just to see him. Ive been a patient of his for almost two years.
