Theyve done an incredible job with Covid strategies. I worked in gyms on cruise ships for years and this is impressive and extremely clean. The cycling instructors rise to the top when they entertain the young and the old (like me) with fun music, high energy and positive encouragement. My day is always better starting it there! Thank you for doing such a great job!

Very clean, following Covid protocols the entire time and in all ways. Love the classes and all the different things they offer. It feels safe and welcoming and staff are great! I love all the equipment too and they do a good job of keeping it up to date and are willing to buy new things periodically.

Poorly run, especially the tennis center. There’s a reason this place is going away, no support or accountability from management and the staff is clueless. I was threatened with physical violence by another member at this facility recently and nothing was done about it, not even a phone call. They also have non-sensical policies such as you can bring guests but ONLY if they’re from out of town, locals are not allowed. They can’t even provide a reason for this policy when you ask. I’d avoid this place and look elsewhere - ever since they announced it’s closing, they seem to have given up.

This is the best Y in town for any reason you can think of.

They are always welcoming as you enter the building. They are always willing to help if you have any questions. Everyone works to keep all areas clean and ready for members to use the machines and classrooms.

It’s great to have so many YMCA options when I am in the Middle Tennessee area. This particular Y caters to the tennis crowd. So that is a rating I cannot make. I swim.It’s a very nice pool with a rare wooden a/framed arched roof. I swim a lot on my back! The only reason I would give it a 4 instead of 5 is for three reasons.1) the pool area is dim. Ok, but dim.2) the locker room doesn’t exit onto the pool deck. You need to walk a few feet through a back hall common area. Again, ok.3) the way back to the pool is a literal maze. That being said, the staff understands that and have personally walked me through that maze - great customer service.So while tempting to give it a 5, it’s not quite where the very best Y facilities are, but overall you won’t be disappointed to use this facility as a member or as a Nationwide Y traveling guest.

The Y makes it possible for me to exercise on my schedule in a family-friendly environment. There are 4 big factors that make the Y right for me: Y-Play childcare service while I work out, fun group exercise classes, an affordable membership, and community involvement (example: my child attends Fun Co at her elementary school).

Giving The YMCA a try was the best thing that could of happened to me. I was a regular gym member at another gym for years and they closed so I had shop. I was asked by a co-worker to give them a look. After I visited several gyms including the YMCA and realized this was my place. It was much more than I expected It blew me away at the amenities that came with being a member. So much to offer for a great lifestyle change at an affordable price. Very clean well run and super friendly staff. Kaley greets me by name every time she sees me which is impressive. Great job !!

No day passes for out of town guests

Well I have sort of a history with this particular YMCA. My sister used to work there and my Father goes every day. The staff are friendly and nice. They have an indoor pool, indoor tennis courts, indoor running track, and a massive weight/exercise room! You can definitely get a total body workout there!

It is the best Y in the South!

Summer Camp at the Maryland Farms YMCA is fantastic. Not only is it economical, my daughter gets to swim every day, meet new and old friends and build amazing friendships with the other campers. But the best part are the meaningful relationships she builds with the counselors. These teenagers are amazing and really do connect with the children. My daughter looks forward to seeing them every summer. Some have moved on and graduated from college and she still talks about them and misses seeing them.

The YMCA is great! This one is especially nice. They provide towels! A really nice touch to save you form having to bring one from home and wash every time you go to the Y. The equipment is also newer and always in good condition. The locker rooms are pretty big, and I have never had an issue getting a locker. I do kinda wish the workout floor was spread out a little more. Sometimes I feel a bit crammed i certain areas. I know the tennis club is huge, but might be nice to have a little more breathing room.

Excellent facility overall. However, there is one wellness area that is inaccessible to people in a wheelchair because the only entrance is down a short flight of stairs. There is great equipment in that area that could be beneficial to people who have disabilities if they had access to it. Everywhere else is easily accessible by elevator, though. Also, the equipment here seems to have wider seats which facilitates use by those with disabilities.

Very friendly staff. Our favorite YMCA in Nashville. I highly recommend. The swimming lessons are excellent. The facility is always spotless clean. My kids enjoy every minute of it.

Excellent facility. My family has been playing here for the past six to nine months and we love it. You can get different memberships: YMCA only, tennis only, or a combination membership. Seven indoor courts (twelve during the winter. Clay courts outside. Club leagues. Its a wonderful place!

I love this Y! The YPlay workers are incredible and the facility is huge with lots of amenities. The pool area is really beautiful. One of my weekday go-tos consistently.

My family and I enjoy coming to this Y. The tennis and swimming is a major plus! The location is convenient to our home and the staff is always helpful. I would recommend this Y to all of my friends and family!

Maryland Farms YMCA has been a wonderful place to work out, play tennis, and enjoy some after exercise food. In the summer months, the very large outdoor pool and snack bar are a bonus to my year round membership. The facility is situated in a beautiful part of Brentwood with a wooded surrounding and easy access from the main street running leading from and into down town Brentwood. I have been a member for 11 years and really enjoy all of the options for exercise.

We took our child here throughout the summer for their themed summer camps and she loved it! Great staff, awesome themes, fun field trips, and basic pool safety lessons for the kids.

When they arent closing the main floor for repairs which seems to be about at least a day to a week every calendar quarter (just what it seems like) it is a great facility. The main exercise room is spacious and well laid out; though it consistently gets very crowded at peak hours.

This is only for their Tennis membership : Took a tennis membership last year and just cancelled it. Chance of getting a court to book is worse than chance of winning a lottery. I. The evenings their indoor courts are blocked for their coaching. The remaining if theres any will be gone in split seconds of when it becomes available at 7AM. Its the same group if players who gets to play there, not sure what they do to get the courts. Its a waste of money.

I work at Subway here. The staff is always friendly and helpful. My car wouldnt start and they had a battery charger quick start machine and got me on my way. The whole building is beautiful and unique.

What a terrible experience! If you have kids that like to swim don’t take them to the indoor pool at this facility. The Rutherford YMCA is 100 times better than the Maryland Farms location. We decided to try the Maryland Farms today to change it up a little. What a joke. My three year old daughter and I were told by a staff members that we could used the pool but had to stand next to the wall in the pool if we wanted to get in.This is the third time I have been at this facility and I have not had a very good experience any of those times. The place is always crowded and the staff is not helpful. With the exception of the cleaning crew. They are extremely nice and courteous.I am not contemplating dropping other YMCA’s from my membership. The only reason I wanted access to all of them was to use the Maryland Farms because it seemed like a lot of events were offered and it is close to work. But after having been there a couple times it is definitely not worth it. We may try the outdoor pool but if it turns out to be another bad experience we will stop going. Anyway, just an FYI if you are looking for a place to have fun with your little ones....this is not the place to go. At least if you try to use the indoor pool. I have also read other comments regarding the indoor pool access or lack there of.

The Maryland Farms YMCA is the nicest Y in Middle Tennessee. Its amenities resemble a country club more than a typical gym. From the hot tub, sauna, and steam room standard in men and womens locker room, to the towel services, and the 25 meter indoor-pool with an additional hot tub on the pool deck, the amenities are amazing. During the summer months, the olympic sized outdoor pool and water park are excellent for entertaining children and families. The media room, that allows guests to watch full-length feature films while doing cardio is another excellent feature. I drive from East Nashville,where we recently moved, to experience all of the post-work out amenities.

I highly recommend it. Friendly staff except for a couple of people. Amazing trainers very clean AND safe.

Go to this Y so many times and I have a tangent about it. Foodwise, they, are building another restaurant and they have a smoothie place. Have an abundance of workout machines. The pool is basically a mini water park. I focus on tennis and the tennis facilities are plentiful. Have like 20 courts. Also the tennis programs are great.

This place has all the luxuriousness of a country club (which it used to be) without the snobby attitude! There is so much space for working out & tons of variety in equipment. There are some top notch classes, too (I love POUND, BodyAttack, and Kickboxing.The locker rooms have hot tubs, steam rooms, saunas, showers & lockers - what else do you need! Like I said, its like having a country club membership, but with Y prices :)The pools are outstanding! They can be busy on the weekends, but if you have time during the week, go lounge with a book! Granted, Ive gone on weekends & been able to enjoy myself, I just find a place as far from the kiddie pool as possible & enjoy the sun.

This YMCA has everything you can think of! I really enjoy going but its very crowded at any point. I usually go swimming in the mornings, but there is always a crowd as soon as they open and its a race to get to the pool. The staff and people there are very friendly!

The Barre classes with Sarah and the Pound class with Sara are great! Really good workouts that increase my strength, stamina and flexibilty. Highly recommended.

The staff and leadership team are professional and great people to work with. Always greets the guests with smiles. The equipment is well-maintained, and theres hardly ever a wait for equipment I would still avoid busy times (Sat: 8a-10a and M-Th 530p-630p)

Maryland Farms YMCA has a fantastic fitness facility. Getting back into a workout routine can be difficult. This YMCA has so many fitness options making it fun and enjoyable. The staff is also super friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place to all of my family and friends.

My company paid for us to be able to go too gone to some other the YMCA while our gym was being remodeled. I loved this place so much I applied and got a job at this Y so I could keep going after our gym was completed. My favorite room is the cardio cinema room. The people are so nice. I have gone to some other Ys and enjoy them but this is my favorite Y.

Clean facility loads of tennis everywhere. Lots of remodels and upgrades since my last visit. Nice to have. Very busy place.

We are an interracial family. It was our first time (and last) at this YMCA. We spent literally less than five minutes in the women’s locker room. We were led there by a member. My children are well behaved and remain close to me in new places. After all of us had changed quicky (my husband and son were waiting) and I was finally stuffing things in our bag, a staff worker came in, obviously put out.She advised us that we needed to leave and stood there staring at us. She then looked at my African-American daughter and asked how old are you? My daughter respectfully replied 13. “Well you’re not allowed in here either. You’re supposed be over 18. “Somehow, the woman had assumed that my 13-year-old , (who was VERY clearly helping me) was not connected to our group. She continued to stand there staring. After a moment with a slightly raised and agitated voice she asked “Would you like me to show you where the children and moms changing room is?“ Again I let her know that I was packing our last things (literally our last towel) and we would be out the door within moments.Another member had been conversing with us prior to the workers arrived. She finished her conversation with us and we left.Within minutes we went to an exit of the building. Upon leaving, the woman who confronted us was at the entrance.Again, I apologized and said we were new and had never been there before. After that, I said simply “There was no need to be rude to us.” Her response was not anything close to apologetic or even concern for a customer.“ I was just conveying a message from one of the members.” Is what she said.I let her know that I understood the complaint and had no qualms with it. But that it was her rudeness that bothered me and that there was no need for it. We left.I have my suspicions. I hope they are wrong. My family will not be returning.

Clean. No machine is left broken (usual complaint). Seemingly well managed. Good variety of activities. Good amount of weight equipment and work out areas. I think its a steal at the insurance subsidised rate I pay. I really enjoy that they still have a hot tub, steam room and sauna along with the pool, tennis, and racquetball. Id suggest they fix and paint the walls in the racquetball courts otherwise good place.

This is my favorite YMCA out of all of the locations in Nashville. All of the staff are amazing and truly care about each person as an individual. From the front the front desk people to housekeeping, in the nursery and child care workers are amazing with the children. This facility has a special energy to it. I am a single mother with 6 kids and I can honestly say that this organization has saved my life. Its helped me to stay an amazing physical shape spiritual and emotional.

I love working out at this YMCA. There is so many different things to do. I really enjoy the boot camp classes which are now included in your membership. They are very challenging which is just what I want, and the exercises are different every time so that you never know what you will be doing. We also have good camaraderie in the class. I also really like the spin bikes here and the cardio cinema.

The Maryland Farms YMCA has the best spring break and summer day camp in the area. Not only do they swim in the pool everyday, they have great special guests and take fun field trips. I recommend signing up early, they fill up fast. My kids love it!

Nice facility, although the weightlifting area is just a tad bit short on squat racks. All the equipment is in such high demand at peak times that its nearly impossible to conduct a complete and uninterrupted leg session.

Great amount of resources, with workout equipment and massage and physical therapy resources. Has Subway and Smoothie place. Big draw is the indoor tennis courts.

Great gym with plenty of space for cardio, free weights, and machines. Great spin room and many other types of classes.

The equipment is latest-- and updated each year! Excellent, friendly professional services eager to help will impress the visitor! This is a superb facility on all three floor levels. Swimming and whirlpools aplenty. Exterior swim and slides are here. ..A variety of programs for everyone in each age group! There are areas just for Women! ,As well as common workout spaces ! YOGA,STRETCHING, BOXING- type exercise - you name it ! A healthy drink bar , or sandwich can revive you before you leave! !

There are constantly things broken at this Y! I have been a member for the past 2 years and it is progressively becoming more of a problem. For instance, tonight there was no hot water throughout the ENTIRE facility and all of the wet areas and main locker rooms were closed indefinitely. They are great at sending emails when things are this serious, but never in a timely manner. Other instances like broken hot tub, poorly constructed sauna (that they have been “trying to fix” for the past year), broken showers, broken motor for the indoor pool (caused it to shut down for 2 weeks), etc... The main problem is that they fix everything with a bandaid instead of spending time replacing their old facility...it’s all cosmetic so it appears nice but still broken. Workers are great here and are super friendly, but for the amount I pay in membership fees and for things to be broken, id rather spend my money on a nicer/newer gym that isn’t as expensive.

Great outdoor 50m pool, inside lap pool, and weight room. Mens locker room is dated and can smell pretty bad sometimes. Other than that, great facility. They do provide towels there for the pool as well.

I think the best swim setup for adults in the Nashville area. Indoor and outdoor pools, lots of lanes in both, can usually get in and swim without any hassles.

Ive been told this is the largest and best equipped YMCA in the nation. A former private tennis and athletic club, and it shows. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools, whirlpools, cardio theater, child care, there isnt really anything that this lacks in an athletic club.
