I gave an extra star for the front staff at Central Vet because they were friendly but I recommend looking elsewhere. I just took my dog in for teeth cleaning and I ended up paying $796. That was with zero teeth extracted (Vets will charge extra for each tooth pulled). To put it in perspective, my Mom just took 2 of her dogs for teeth cleaning. 1 had 2 teeth pulled, the other had 3 teeth pulled. Her bill was $625. My sister also just had her dogs teeth cleaned and the bill was $599 (no extractions). Bottom line, shop around for a vet that has nice staff AND won’t take advantage.

Cannot say enough great things about this clinic. They have been taking care of my dogs and rescue fosters since I moved to the Bay Area 8 years ago. They have fees for every budget and pet desk rewards to use towards visits or procedures. Love the Doctor:-)

This vet has really taken care of my dogs! I saw them for an emergency visit when my current vet wouldn’t see my dog. Central took us and provided excellent care for my dog. All the doctors and staff are very nice. I never went back to my old vet! I will stay here at Central.

We needed a urgent appointment and Central was able to get us in the next day where as every other place I called including Charlies current vet had over a week wait. Once we were there we were happy with the care given. Also he is need of dental care and they gave us a fair estimate for care.

I had to switch hospitals recently and came across this hospital. As always, I am a little bit nervous at trusting my fur baby with new people. I was extremely impressed with the doctor, the nurse, and the staff! They were very loving and very sweet to him they listen to my concerns ran the test that they needed and found out what was troubling him. They were able to schedule the surgery right away and actually they didnt have to do what they originally thought and it was so relieving that I could trust that they were so honest about the whole entire process. I am very grateful, to have found people that I can trust that will take care of him and love him the way that I do.

I had moved to the area new at the time and my dog started to feel sick. Without an established vet in town, they were still able to fit me into the schedule quickly. The vets were diligent and got my baby healthy, while offering lower cost options. Great service and personal attention.

I had to take my dog in to be euthanized, and they were so kind and compassion. They made the experience much less horrible. I took my other dog in for medical reasons, and they were just as awesome. They took him to the back for tests and a shot, and he came back to us showing off his new friend. As long as I have pets, I will be going to this vet. They are amazing. I love them.

I needed my cat seen as soon as possible and they made an appointment for me immediately following the next day. They were reasonable in the fees charged and even called to follow up with me after a few days. I know the dewormer they gave me was actually cheaper then Amazon and they gave me extra incase it didnt work for no additional fee, and it was vet quality. Overall very happy with the care they provided, it did take time for the whole ordeal, but I was a squeezed in appointment so I understood. Other vets wanted me to wait to be seen because I called around, the soonest they had was one week and another was two weeks.

We came to CBVH because our regular vet was closed with COVID restrictions causing them to have troubles opening back up. Concerns for our pet’s pains and complaints were throughly listened too and taken serious. From the Vet Tech to the Vet, I felt comfortable and thought the level of care and attention was great. As new customers, it would have been easy for them to give us the work up and nickel and dime us, but they were focused on our pet and did what was needed for the pet and money was not even a concern. The quality of service and care for our dog was worth every penny.

Honestly for the circumstances of why I was their, their was nothing I could of asked more from you all. Great staff, very understanding. You know these people are really here to help the animals! That means everything. I was having trouble trying to find a really good vet with reasonable prices. Ant central vet is the one! Very humble and understanding staff! This will be my one and only vet!

We brought Daisy to Central Boulevard Vet because she was in pain when squatting to urinate. They did the blood work and Daisy’s kidney enzyme was 1.8 which Is slightly elevated from the normal threshold of 1.5. Dr. Dhuwan recommended iv fluids for 3 days to flush the toxins. Daisy was moving so much but they were able to manage the iv. I called the vet office the following day. Daisy was taking a nap and I requested them to send me a photo which I received. I called on the second day and realized that a different vet was on duty and that Dr. Dhuwang was off duty. Daisy was doing well and had more energy per attending vet. On the 3rd day, Dr. Dhuwang called and said Daisy was not doing well. We were so surprised with the bad news given the past days’ positive report. We brought Daisy home. She lost so much weight. She was a picky eater but they should have advised us if Daisy was not eating - imagine for 3 straight days with no food other than the iv fluid! Daisy died the following day. We were devastated and we did not even get the chance to be with her on her last days. Daisy was not lethargic at all to begin with but being cared by Central Boulevard vet, it accelerated her illness and death. I did not see the vets and staff being animal lovers. They lack compassion and care. They don’t even greet the animals when they come in. Dr. Dhuwang and staff lack the TLC to calm a nervous pet. Not to mention that Daisy’s name was misspelled on the urn!!! What a way to add to the grief!

As a past veterinary assistant (I was an unlicensed technician) for nearly a decade, I thought a veterinarian who provides care I deem worthy of my pets care was going to be hard. I absolutely love the care that Dr. Dhawan and Dr. Singh provide. Highly recommend!

My dog was attacked by another dog and needed to be seen immediately. Central boulevard vet was so kind to take him in right away, even though they were closing soon and had other people with appointments waiting. They took such good care of him and called the next morning to check up on him. I’m so grateful for everything they have done. Highly recommend taking you pet there and they will be in great hands.

I recently took my dog to central boulevard vet for the first time and had a great experience. They had two entrances for either dogs or cats which was nice because my little dogs do not know how to act around cats. When i walked in i was greeted by the receptionist who was very nice and treated with respect. When we were called into the room for our appointment the assistants took very good care of me and my baby. They played with her and got to know her a little because we were new. The doctor came in and was very gentle with my dog which made me feel comfortable. They were honest with me about what was going on with my dog and explained what procedures they could do to help her. They also talked to me about the ones that were necessary and which ones that would not have to be done if i could not afford it. I felt like they were being friends to me, not a vet that just wants my money. I have had very bad vet experiences before but this one changed my feelings on bringing my dog in. Everyone was nice to me and respectful. They are very good at what they do and i am happy to say that this is my new clinic of choice. I came across this vet a few years ago through a mailer coupon. Im glad I tried them out because theyve become the primary vet for all of my animals. Took my dog in for eye infection, they did what they said they would do. Get call from dr wanting to do more work to get more money. I refused. Then i pick my dog up. Bill was almost 250 dollar more than the estimate that i signed for. I asked why wasnt i called and told they were going to do more than i signed for. They took off the charges which was nice but i bring my dog home now has very bad case of kennel cough. So now has virus and trying to recover at the same time. Ive brought my fog to other vets and never had these issues before. The front desk help took the dog from me when i got there then asked me to weigh him when they just took the dog away from me. Then i get there to pick him up they were confused again after i delt with the bill the whole time he was in my arms. They saw him in my arms and asked which dog was mine to go get him for me. Not the brightest.

My dog has had bad allergies causing ear issues since he was a puppy, and it’s finally gotten out of control in the last year. We have tried various local vets over the years and found some to be dismissive of his condition or giving only “natural” treatments that never worked long term. In an emergency situation due to his ear, we found Central Boulevard Vet and haven’t had to look elsewhere since. Everyone who works there has been great.

Weve been going to Central Boulevard Veterinary Hospital for about 4 years. Our dog has had a few procedures and has always been taken care of competently. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Prices are very reasonable, as well.

I called in to get my cat checked up, and was able to get an appointment for the same week. The staff was extremely friendly to both me and my cat, and were also very gentle with him. They calmed my nerves as a concerned cat mom, and they explained everything I needed to know about my cats possible condition and what to expect for when the blood test comes back. Over all, I am very pleased with they service they provide and Im confident in their ability to treat my pet well.

What a pleasant experience. Took our 10 year old rescued border collie in for a growth on her tummy and a abscess between her front toes. Not knowing her history the staff and the Doctor were awesome. We were really afraid we wouldnt be able to afford the surgical procedures but I think the doctor was very very fair with all the costs incurred including blood work, lab work, prescriptions and follow up. I will definitely come back and will always recommend Central Blvd Vet Hospital.

Our chihuahua dog into a fight with a bigger dog. I called the hospital and they were able to fit us in their schedule within an hour. The girls were very caring and helpful. The cost was reasonable also. I would have had to pay another $400 if we had gone to the nearest emergency hospital. Thank You.

I came home late on a Friday after work to find my dog very sick and lethargic. I found Central on my maps app and saw that they were the only place that was open after 6pm. It showed a close time of 8pm. I called and they were able to see him as soon as I hung up on an emergency basis. They were $20 cheaper than the exam fee at the Antioch emergency vet on Sunset. Their estimate was reasonable as well. The staff was so friendly and the doctor was very thorough. They called the next day to check in with me too!

Central Blvd Vet Hospital has taken care of us since we moved to Brentwood. We had driven our bullies 75 minutes to a bulldog specialist in Modesto for nearly 20 years before discovering CBVH (just 5 minutes away). We love the short commute; and were happy with their professionalism and care for our bully & frenchies.

Really like this vet- friendly staff, clean and they would not even let my dog come in until tests came back clear so the safety precautions protect other animals so that is good! Awesome place!

I would not recommend this vet. My dog needed a dental extraction, I also wanted my dog to get a teeth cleaning in the same appointment. During the consultation, the vet never once even examined my dog or his teeth, asked a couple of questions, and that was it. During the extraction I was notified by phone call that my dog needed additional extractions, I asked why and the vet tech on the phone replied “his teeth are really loose”, thus recommending the extra extractions. No xrays, no probings, no evidence. The vet tech was pressuring me to give the okay for the additional extractions (for additional $$$) since my dog was under anesthesia, but I declined and was extremely upset. When picking up my dog, the vet tech still was on about the “loose teeth”, and said if I just touched them they are extremely wiggly and still would recommend him to come back for extra extractions. When I got home, I examined my dogs teeth and NONE of them were mobile. After that incident I lost trust in the vet and the staff, and I am not returning ever again.

I have a 15 year old 11lb dog in pain and peeing everywhere. Sassy has had a long and good life. I called Central Blvd to schedule sassy to be with my dad. She rode on his lap all the way from Oklahoma 14 years ago. Central told me it would be $140 To put her down plus an exam fee and some other fee(I think it was disposal fee). She could not tell me the cost of the two. I have had to put down other dogs in the past and never charged those fees. I was able to get it done at the vet my brother uses for $79. THANK YOU CENTRAL BLVD FOR MAKING ME FEEL CHEAP.

Loved my experience! Staff is super sweet. You can tell they do really care about the clients and especially the pets that come through their doors. People are always so quick to write bad reviews and flip stories but never have time to write a good review. I have never felt like the staff and the doctors didnt care about my pets best interest. They worked with me, and they never made me feel like i HAD to do what was offered in the estimates given.

I absolutely love this vet. The doctors and staff are absolutely amazing. Last year I started coming here for my yorkie when she appeared to be paralyzed and found out she had compressed disks. I came in thinking she wasnt coming home and they gave her the proper medication and educated me properly on how to help her and she hasnt had a problem in a year. Well today I noticed her back was starting up again and they got us right in and are getting her up and going again with ease. And to top it off they are not breaking my bank (which I would pay and arm and a leg for my baby for feel better). They truly are here to help our fur babies. Thank you guys you rock!

I am a non-profit rescue. If it werent for the incredible care and services of Dr. Chaudri and his staff, I dont think I would be able to continue saving these dogs. Always compassionate and caring about the animals. Always do their absolute best to get you in. Sometimes the emergencies cause a wait but the wait is so worth it. I have expanded my rescue into a larger facility and sadly have had to move. I can NOT replace Dr. C and his staff and although I have found a new vet, they will never compare to Central Boulevard Vet Hospital. I truly miss them so much. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this veterinary hospital. You will NOT be disappointed.

3 weeks ago I had to take my Dog to emergency care because my larger dog attacked her , this had never happened before and I was so heart broken !! In fear that my dog was in shock and slowly dying , I brought her here , based on the reviews , I can understand why now there is 5 stars and if I could give 10 I would !!! The staff and Dr Raj were absolutely amazing !!!! So supportive and sweet !!! He saved her life after a 3 hour surgery !!! I will never go anywhere else from now on for my pets !!!! Yesterday my dog must’ve got something in his eye or poked it so It was very irritated red and watery. I get very nervous whenever something happens to my dog(son).. They took excellent care of my dog! My little sancho can be aggressive and uncooperative and they handled him so well! He had an issue for years with his breath and even the last vet I took him to said it was just how its going to be. I saw Central veterinary hospital was having a dental promotion so I figured Id get his teeth cleaned and they ended up finding a rotting molar and removed it. My dogs breath smells amazing and his teeth look great! They did a wonderful job!

Words can’t explain how happy and thankful I feel of finding this place !! They saved my baby, it was some rough times , I am beyond blessed and so thankful I crossed paths with Central boulevard veterinary.

The lady at the front desk is an amazing employee, very sympathetic and you can tell she loves animals and has a great sense of intuition! Shes the reason for the stars. She needs to become a doctor and open her own animal hospital she would be amazing! With that being said there was another behind desk staff who was rude and stand offish, very little interest in peoples animals. If you are allergic to pet dander like I am, I would suggest taking allergy medicine right before entering. I forgot to take some but after entering and sitting down my head had this strange sensation come over it as if waves of the sea was washing over my head and sinuses. The place is filthy. After entering a room to be seen my injured cat went crazy, I mean Hell hound psycho! No one cleans these rooms and every animal scent is in there. My cat was in pain and became extremely aggressive, scared my family half to death, we NEVER seen her act in such a hostile way. Then to make matters worse there is a cat that freely roams and kept taunting my cat! We had to leave it was soooo freaky how my normally docile, even timid kitty became a raging bull! I didnt get any care, but barely missed the doctor. Im not sure for care, but cleanliness is a 0 out of 10. They seem over booked too.

Loved the same day appointments and that the Dr. and Tech listened to our concerns and addressed out issues with my daughters cat. I have 2 dogs and will go there again when needing care for my pets!

I cant express how happy I am with this Veterinary! 2 weeks ago I had a guinea pig that was sick. My regular vet didnt have a doctor in at that time. I went to the Internet and called here. Dr. Raj answered my call. I was very emotional and explained that I needed a doctor today because Im sure I would have to put my Bella to sleep. Dr. Raj explained to me he doesnt see guinea pigs, but he would make an exception for me and he would be able to give me what I needed. I rushed down there. They were pretty busy, but after my paperwork was filled out they got me back there. Dr. Raj confirmed what I already knew. It was still very difficult to hear though. He patiently waited while I cried, and asked a million questions. And not once did he rush me or my decision. He was very patient with me even though he was very busy. I cant thank him enough for being so compassionate and caring! His staff was also very caring and patient with meà I highly recommend this Veterinary! And thank you Dr. Raj from the bottom of my heart for being there for me when I needed someone the most!

First time here and very welcoming from the start. My dog Bailey was in need of surgery to remove a growth from his inside right leg. Turns out it was malignant cancer that had attached to the main vain. It was absolutely imperative to have it removed immediately and it was the very next day.All went well with surgery, recovery was great and going back to have his stitches out was non problematic. Definitely looking to use them as my go to vet.Thanks from Bailey, hes back to running around like a crazed dog.

After years of feeling like I was getting the runaround with my former vet, I came to Central Boulevard Veterinary Hospital. This hospital, Dr. Dhawan and his staff are wonderful. Dr. Dhawan found a serious health issue with my dog within the first couple of days/exams that was likely years in the making. My former vet never found this and blamed the issues my dog was having (for TWO YEARS) on allergies. Dr. Dhawan and his staff tried hard to save my beloved pet, but unfortunately, there was very little to be done at such a late stage in my dogs illness. Through it all, the people at Central Boulevard were upfront about possible treatment costs, honest about probable outcomes, and SO supportive when no more could be done, and we had to make the very difficult decision to end my dogs suffering. Overall, I never felt pressured to spend more on treatments that likely wouldnt work, and I am so grateful for all the help and support I received from the people at Central Boulevard Vet Hospital. I only wish I had found Dr. Dhawan and this vet hospital years ago--perhaps my dog would still be here if I had.

We adopted a Labrador dog from the shelter with sores on her belly and we were able to schedule an appointment with this veterinary hospital sooner than the others. We brought her in and she was shy and scared with an anxious bark to any new people. Dr. Chaudhri was really great with feeding her the treats we brought with us and even got on the floor with us since she was too scared to get on the table. We appreciated the doctor being proactive with getting her on the right antibiotics and treatment early while the hair samples are being tested. We have used them the 4 years we have D lived in the area so far. We have two chihuahuas, two cats and a parrot. They are always caring and attentive to our pets.

My dog was suffering with Pyrometra and was near death. Our dog needed to be seen asap. We found out about Central Blvd Vet Hospital by a kind referral from another hospital. I call and spoke with xena who was very concerned and professional. He scheduled us for an immediate appt to come into the after hours hospital. We took our dog in at 8:30 pm and she was seen by Dr Dhawan who display nothing by love and concern for our dog. The Dr and xena work fast to diagnosis her and gave the best recommendations in the area for our dog. I was Shocked because the assistance was far beyond any that we had received at previous Vets we took her to. Our dog received her surgery immediately and we were able to pick her up after about 3 hours. She was sent home with meds and everything she needed to make a full recovery. She was up walking around the next morning and has made a full recovery. The Dr gave a friendly call a day later to check on my dog and reminded me to bring her back the next day for a check up. When we did it seemed our dog knew that the hospital was the place that saved her life, when she seen Dr Dhawani she kissed him. I would recommend this Vet Hospital to anyone that needs compassion when dealing with your sick animal. The hospital took my dog in on an emergency late Saturday evening. My dog was throwing up and lethargic. The doctor was very through with examination and said she most likely ate chocolate. He started the treatment immediately. Thank You Central Boulevard. You saved my dog and saved me from a hefty bill if I had to take rosa to the Emergency Vet Hospital.

I called and made a same day urgent appointment for my dog who had ran away and his poor little paws needed attention. I spoke to the receptionist and asked for a same day evening appointment. She offered me 3:45pm. I told her I needed evening because my dog could not walk due to the pain and I needed my fiancé to carry him. I asked if there was anything later. She said sure, there was a 5:30, 6 and 6:30 was the latest. I asked to take the 6pm and she confirmed that would work. Then she asked what the need for the appt was and I told her about my concerns not only for his paws and pain but also since he escaped I didnt know what he could of got into. I told her I was worried and wanted him checked out asap. During registration I was asked my phone number twice for confirmation, she gave me directions, and said she would see us at 6. I thanked her so much for getting him in same day. There was no confusion because everything was repeated twice!! So my fiancé gets home, we carry our 70lb dog to the car, and drive to the 6pm appt. Get there and its closed. Call and no answer nor an option for voicemail. We were so upset. I called the next day and spoke to the delightful receptionist again (sarcasm). I asked to speak to the office manager or doctor whom she informed we were not there because they are closed on Thursdays. I proceeded to recap what happened and told her I was upset. She said the doctor had left early at 5:30 and they tried to call. I said I got no call and that this was our first time with the office and I found it extremely unprofessional to do that to a customer. Furthermore I went into detail with the receptionist as to why we were coming and for the doctor to have known that yet still couldnt wait 30min to see us as they promised the doctor showed no compassion and to just leave was horrible. Thats when the story changed from the receptionist. Now all of a sudden the doctor left cos they had an emergency. The receptionist was curt and defensive. She said if I was really that worried about my dog I should of taken him to emergency vet. Unbelievable! Im in healthcare and you just dont behave like this! I told her not to try to manipulate me. That they made it clear earlier that they had several openings (indicating a slow day) and that if the doctor wanted an early day they should of have just been honest from the beginning and not booked us. To make comments stating if I was really that concerned I could of done better. In healthcare or vet care you know the difference between an urgent issue and emergent. My dog needed to be looked at that day, but not emergent which is why I waited until my fiancé was home to carry him. If there was a life threatening issue OR had they just been honest and said that they had no evening appointments I would of looked for another vet to see him. I put my trust in you as a business to honor your commitment to an appointment and clearly that proved to be the wrong choice. Either your staff is completely incompetent and despite a phone number being read back TO ME correctly they still couldnt manage to have the proper customer service or plain respect and call ahead and cancel or its worse and you just were plain insensitive and lazy and left early. Either way the best thing happened for our pet, he got care elsewhere with a Vet office you can DEPEND ON AND TRUST!!!

My dog was suffering with Pyrometra and was near death. Our dog needed to be seen asap. We found out about Central Blvd Vet Hospital by a kind referral from another hospital. I call and spoke with Angela who was very concerned and professional. She scheduled us for an immediate appt to come into the after hours hospital. We took our dog in at 8:30 pm and she was seen by Dr Dhillon. who display nothing by love and concern for our dog. The Dr and Tech work fast to diagnosis her and gave the best recommendations in the area for our dog. I was Shocked because the assistance was far beyond any that we had received at previous Vets we took her to. Our dog received her surgery immediately and we were able to pick her up after about 3 hours. She was sent home with meds and everything she needed to make a full recovery. She was up walking around the next morning and has made a full recovery. The Dr gave a friendly call a day later to check on my dog and reminded me to bring her back the next day for a check up. When we did it seemed our dog knew that the hospital was the place that saved her life, when she seen Dr Dhillon and Dr Raj she kissed him. I would recommend this Vet Hospital to anyone that needs compassion when dealing with your sick animal. Thank you Drs and the Friendly staff at Central Boulevard Vet Hospital for helping our family.
