Dr. Noonan Is a great psychiatrist, he actually listenes to you unlike some other I have seen throughout my many years on this earth.. he is also a really nice an sincere man and I really enjoy talking to him but this pandemic really sucks because everything has to be FaceTime but hopefully this will be over soon so that I can see him face to face I do better myself when Im in front of a Dr but I just wanted to post here so people know how awesome of a Dr he is ,,, thank you Dr.Noonan

I have a close family member who saw Dr. Noonan. Hes great, but his staff leaves a lot to be desired.Dr. Noonan is patient, understanding, and super easy to talk to....but only during the scheduled appointment time. Anything else you need, his office staff guards him off like hes the freakin Queen of England.Buddy who dresses for work like hes in a rap video to work his doctors office job once told me on the phone, No money, no medicine when I asked for a once month extension on my family members medicine because we couldnt make a timely office visit due to my work obligations.Mofo, I had the money to pay for the office visit...I just didnt have the time.Dr. Noonan has amazing bedside manner, but the staff has to pick it up.EDIT: I spoke with Dr. Noonan and I think all will be well.

Dr. Noonan seems to love helping others in a very individualized, personal and professional manner. His approach to helping my two sons is so well appreciated by our family, that even though he is not with our ins, we will pay out of pocket to see him over switching to another Dr within network. May God bless him and his staff for working with us on scheduling, Rx refills and anything that comes up when life happens. He truly loves helping others, and he truly feels great when he finds the right medication for your particular need. Highly recommended.

At 27 years old, I had been struggling with anxiety and depression for at least 13 years. As a child my mom tried the best she could and brought me from Dr to Dr but never really made me keep up with it. Fast forward to 27 and I was struggling hard, I had been spending 3 months at a time with a different Dr trying out meds for the past 2 years and felt like I was getting nowhere. I was just a number to every Dr and felt like no one really wanted to help. Then I remembered the one Dr from my adolescence that had made an impact, Dr. Noonan. I reached out and found that he was in fact seeing adult patients as well. My treatment completely changed, not only medications but the feeling that my Doctor truly cared about my mental health and not just flipping patients. I am now almost 32 and still have hard days but 90% of the time Im doing great and always have the support of Dr. Noonan and his staff to fall back on if necessary. I can honestly say he is everything I could hope for in a psychiatrist. Intelligent, knowledgeable, down to earth and reasonable.

After endless searching for someone to help me and having horrible experiences with mental health professionals, a friend referred me to Dr. Noonan. Hes amazing, attentive and really listens and cares. I hope to stay with him for the rest of my life. His staff is also incredibly compassionate and helpful when I call with questions or concerns. Best Dr Ever. Always takes the time to listen to you and whats going on. Ive never even heard of him not having the perfect solution for anyone I know that sees him on their first visit. This man is THAT GOOD at what he does. Has helped myself and multiple family members and friends. Would suggest him over any Dr Ive ever had dealings with. I really wish I could leave more than 5 stars hes worth 100 in my book.

He cares. Hes my Doctor and my teenage sons. He treats patients as equal. Though no longer takes insurance and its a painful pay out each visit for two of us...well worth it. I did not want to go into my usual doctors office because of Covid, so I called Dr. Noonan, and im very satisfied with the video conference format!. Dr. Noonan did a fantastic job of easing the negative connotations I had created about being on a specific medication. He explained exactly why its working and why I shouldnt feel bad about taking it. I had my appointment at 315pm and my medication by 730pm. I called the office thinking they made a mistake and prescribed me less than we agreed, but turns out I was wrong and they took the time to VERY quickly verify how much I was previously taking, and saved me from taking more than I needed, which im very grateful for. I just referred a friend to him today and im sure he will be equally satisfied with the service.

I’ve struggled with test anxiety and mood swings for a very long time until I started coming to see Dr. Noonan. He got all that under control and now I’m more focused and doing better in school. The staff is super friendly and caring. Appointments scheduling is reasonable and the staff does work with you.

Dr. Noonan is very reliable, he listens and has put me on a treatment plan. that has actually helped me, Ive seen so many doctors that have prescribed me medication that didnt help at all and he finally prescribed me with something that helps me unlike these doctors that act like youre a test rat. My son and I have been seeing Dr. Noonan for many years and there is No other Psychiatrist that comes close to hid professionalism and knowledge, He is an exceptional listener and has diagnosed correctly anything that I had going on in my life, psychologically, I have been a nurse 20 yrs( yes, we have problems too). I wouldnt waste my time or money seeing anyone else. Plus, he is understanding and very reasonable!!!

Have you ever thought that dealing with an insurance company was easy? Well, I just did.Unfortunately for Dr. Noonan, his office staff is impossible to deal with. They have refused to listen and have been extremely uncooperative. A simple action could have helped me immensely, but their outright refusal to listen and problem solve has made a small situation into a large and complicated one. My insurance agency has been the problem solver in this situation. Who would have thought? Usually, its the other way around and providers are the ones trying to help patients.An office staff can make or break a doctors practice and this one is just not worth it. I rather find another doctor, because this office has been the awful. My recommendation is to go elsewhere because this office is not worth the days of hassle. In todays competitive world, I expect great service from the physician and the office staff......otherwise theres always another great doctor.

The staff working with Dr. Noonan is accessible, supportive and accommodating with assisting their patients. Ive never experienced anything that was difficult. Dr. Noonan is a pill-mill doctor. Cash pay. No diagnosis beyond the disorder you claim, like anxiety. Five-minute sessions. Packed reception. He’s also reckless. He had my boyfriend on Benzos for 30 YEARS for anxiety. This damaged him mentally: short-term memory loss;; complacency leading to no drive to finish nor accomplish anything;; similar effects as long-term alcoholism since benzos act on the same receptors as alcohol... In trying to get off these benzos after so long, he became suicidal (4 Baker Acts since February) and may now have a dissasociative disorder. I see lots of 5 stars, likely because he hands out these benzos out to anyone. (Please take heed of this. Benzos should only be used for short-term anxiety and disorders such as epilepsy.)

Never had any issues if your in need help is there, it may take time to get an appointment, but some people think there gonna be fixed in a day. This type of thing takes time. Having a full schedule shows hes a good doctor :). If you dont have insurance its 90$ a visit but he will work with you to help make the visits less frequent to help save money. I go about every 6 months. also if you have any prescriptions try downloading and using the blink health app, as I have no insurance this helps. Brings my medication down from 70$ a month to about 24$. Give him a call.

He is great. I moved to Orlando and still travel to see him outside of Tampa. He really cares that the patient gets better and knows what the patient is going through.

Was called this morning about my 9:30 appointment at 8:50, while I was on the phone I asked what sort of fee Id be charged when I showed up. They took my insurance info and told me for some reason they were having an issue with finding me and told me theyd call me back with what I would owe. By this time its 9:10 so I rush out of the house and manage to make it barely past 9:30. They tell me Im late and the appointments already started but theyll give me the paperwork to fill out and schedule for another day. I tell them thats fine, when they then tell me that I also will owe them $275 for the appointment as well. I tell them I cant possibly pay that and tell them Ill just cancel instead and find something else with my insurance and they then start to tell me that Ill have to pay for a no show to an appointment that I was already there for. That was just my experience with the lobby staff, Id like to leave a better review if I had maybe seen Dr. Noonan, but unfortunately I didnt even make it past the lobby.

I was beyond impressed with my experience at Dr. Noonans office. I was blown away by how helpful, kind and attentive he was, and how quickly he and his staff were at getting back to me. My appointment ran on time and Dr. Noonan was very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable throughout the appointment. I would highly recommend this medical group!

Dr. Noonan is a very knowledgeable doctor thats not afraid to try new approaches to treating your specific condition. Ive been seeing him for a year now and his knowledge of the pharmacology of the meds he prescribed me is very impressive. Most docs give you a script and dont really explain how the drug works in your body(some people dont care to know). I was fascinated by his explanation of how these medications interacted with the body.Highly recommend him.Warning: wait times for new patients may be long, try to schedule as soon as you can to ensure you get in at the earliest available spot!.

I have been seeing Doctor Noonan for years and am so happy he’s my Doctor. Doctor Noonan is compassionate, caring and goes above and beyond what I could ever expect. I have not had the best of luck with other therapist and he understands my frustrations and does everything he can to help. If you are looking for someone you can trust, it’s Doctor Noonan. Doctor Noonan has a great staff who care about you as an individual.

I really like Dr. Noonan. Hes attentive, listens well, and doesnt make you feel rushed. I like his approach to trying new things if needed. If this review was solely based on my experience with the doctor, it would be 5 stars. However, it is extremely difficult to get through to his office. I have NEVER gotten a live person to pick up the phone when I call, not once. They are open Mon-Thurs, and you cannot leave a message during off hours unless its an emergency. Very frustrating. Additionally, he does not accept any insurance. I would switch doctors, but there are no other doctors near me accepting new patients.

I love Dr. Noonan. Both my daughter and I see him. The improvement I see in my daughter far surpasses the fact that it is painful to have to pay out of pocket for both of us. And he always tells us to call day or night if we have any questions or concerns. We havent, but I believe that he would absolutely pick up the phone if we did. As far as I am aware of, he takes insurance, just not mine.

Dr. Noonan is very kind! He came highly recommended from another doctor in St. Petersburg who we loved very much. He takes his time with the patient. His staff is cordial. He is on time and we appreciate his authentic care. I like his professional attitude too!

I have been taking my kids to Dr. Noonan for years now as well as recommending him to anyone in need of help. He is always on time, focused, ready to listen, to discuss concerns, issues, changes; he is completely present at every appointment. He is fantastic at relating to every age group and finds a way to connect to all quickly. My kids think he is wonderful and talk openly with him about even the most personal subjects. He has never failed to treat each as an individual and does not believe medication is the answer in every situation. In 10 years I have never questioned or doubted Dr. Noonans abilitiy, dedication, or integrity and trust him completely with those most important to me. His staff is helpful, polite and always more than willing to go above and beyond to get people taken care of. His office is always clean and welcoming.He is, quite simply, the best.

I have been a patient for over 8 months. I have followed all of Dr Noonan’s orders and advice and am in one of the darkest places of my life. I have had the worst weekend of my life and tried to get in touch with the doctor on call and they disconnected me three times in a row. I do not know if it was the phone company or Dr Noonan, but it was horrible.

I switched to Dr. Noonan because of all the good recommendations. He is by far better than my past Dr. very attentive, he will help you as much as possible.

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Noonan. I have been a patient of his on and off for about 16 years. Dr. Noonan treats everyone with respect, kindness, and he actually listens to what patients have to say. HE IS NOT A MED PUSHER! In my past before meeting Dr. Noonan I went to doctors who did push meds on me, which made me so sick I was hospitalized on more than one occasion. Dr. Noonan has been able to help me when I needed it the most, and has made a tremendous impact on my life. By helping me stabilize myself and get my illness under control, he has made a change in not only my life, but the lives of my kids and my family. I adore this doctor, and I highly recommend him to everyone. In my early 20s I was probably the most horrible patient you can imagine. I cursed at him, screamed, and was so out of control I dont know how he didnt drop me as a patient. He truly helped to save and stabilize me when no one else could, and again, I highly recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Noonan is a good pyschiatrist as long as one understands what a pyschiatrist does. They are the ones who write the prescriptions. No issues there. He is treating my boyfriend and so far so good.However. Their office manager, Christine, should take some time to reflect on her position. She is rude, combative and Im not entirely sure she understands what her job entails in regards to customer service and relations.I myself, run a business and have been in management most of my life. She treated my boyfriend, a patient, with little respect about an appt he showed up to, that I scheduled 6 weeks ago, and said he didnt have an appt. That he missed one 5 weeks ago but they waived the fee. This is false. I personally rescheduled that appointment 30 mins after it was made, for today, and their staff simply forgot to log it. I had to ask Christine to apologize for this mistake and note it wasnt our mistake. I have to clear his appointments with 2 jobs and 3 other doctors so todays appt was well documented on our end. As I told her, these appointments are life and death to us and are our 1st priority to mental wellness and a little sympathy, compassion and admittance for their mistake would have prevented this review altogether. Poorly handled and greatly noted to their office manager. That was a disheartening experience and one I dont appreciate. The nature of a psychiatry office should lend some patience, courtesy and kindness from their office staff, we have plenty to deal with and do not need to be accused of missing appointments that we have taken time off work for weeks in advance... I just hope this review offers a learning experinece so the next person doesnt have it happen.

Noonan is great! The manager is not! I made an appointment over the phone around the beginning of January. Less than 10 minutes later I had to change the appointment date. I called again and asked her if there was a charge to reschedule, which she replied only if the appointment is reschuled or canceled 24 to 48 hours before the appointment. I said, ok great and she rescheduled and gave me an appointment for 3/26/18 at 8:45am. Great right? Nope... come in on 3/26/18 at 8:30am for that appointment and Im not on the schedule. No big deal right? Except for the fact that they said they charged me a 65 dollar no show fee. I asked them to please bring up that charge, they instantly jumped to We will waive that fee. 1. They didnt charge me a late fee as its not on any of my bank statements 2. They couldnt pull up the fee being charged and 3. The lady was combative and told me that if Ive never missed an appointment before they could waive this one for me. So, to my understanding. I was never charged a no show fee. Why? Because it wasnt a no show, because it was reschuled the same day. Now I am stuck without the option to have a fee waived because they didnt want to own up to a mistake. I am ok with mistakes. We all make them but it is not professional to cover your own by punishing the customer. I will have to think this over before I decide to go back or not. Again, Noonan is great!Thank you

This Dr needs to have his head examined. You dont take someone off a controlled drug abruptly and make them suffer. By doing so he not only creates the worse withdrawal symptoms but prescribes anxiety meds and blames the patient for taking them. Something is not right here. Suggest a thorough evaluation by the state department of health.

I implore you! Do not go to Dr. Noonan. My 19 year old college daughter had visited Noonan last year for some light anxiety. He gave her medication. She recently moved into an off-campus apartment and requested a letter from Noonan so she can have a cat for emotional support. He requested she come into the office. I later found out he charged her $275 for the visit. To make matters worse, the apartment complex needed another form and he charged another $50 to fill out the form. I called and talked to the office manager Christine. She states the $275 is for an evaluation. My daughter spent less than 10 minutes with him; she was not evaluated. He gave her the letter she needed. The office manager did not want to discuss. She hung up on me. I’ve never had a medical professional hang up on me. I called back and told her I expected a call from Noonan himself. The fees he charges for this simple service is unethical and immoral. There are a lot of good psychologists that got into this business to better the lives of people. Noonan may have started his career in to help others, but it’s clear his motivations have changed.

Dr. Noonan is great. We had numerous problems with the office staff. The office was rude, unsympathetic, would not listen to what you were saying. Tons of office rules that actually prevented you from connecting with the doctor if needed.

Ive been seeing Dr. Noonan for several years, and not only is he a very personable and easy doctor to speak with, but he genuinely cares about his patients and their standard of living. I honestly dont know where Id be without Dr. Noonan. One last thing, and a very important one; Dr. Noonan doesnt judge you or view you as a bad person. He treats you like a human being with legitimate mental issues. That may seem trivial to most, but when youre trying to cope with general anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, agoraphobia, and just about everything else...it means the world. Thank you Dr. Noonan!

This Dr. is terrible. My daughter went to him didnt even care what we told him. It was like talking to a tree. Pushed pills on her said come back in a month.

Waited 2 months for appt, was seen 30mins late then was talked to for 10min given pills n said come back in 5 weeks, these arent doctors just pill pushers, dont waste your time unless your looking for pills.
