AJ is amazing! I did full highlights this session with her. She did one inch sections, wedged and sliced (I think) was the term she used. Turned out great! Highly recommend AJ for any hair needs and look forward to my next visit with her.

So, there’s a girl stylist by the name of Kat that works here. She is amazing! I have curly hair and always have trouble getting a haircut I like but she always does an awesome job!

Kelly did an incredible job with my balayage and haircut! The blend looks natural and flawless. Would definitely recommend!

Chuck was amazing!! He really took me from a hot mess to a gorgeous silvery/purple and made sure I knew what was happening every step of the process! Hes extremely thorough and does amazing work! Color and style are beautiful. They got me in as a walk in due to another salons screw up. He will be my stylist from now on! Not to mention the receptionist and the other stylist were very nice! Very clean salon, very well organized, great music and an all around excellent experience! Thanks Chuck!!!

Poor service. My stylist was Beth and she did everything in her power to make a good service, however her supervisor told her to apply the wrong whatever number they use, her lack of communication, consideration and service made me really wonder why is she even a supervisor. Beth had to get me another appointment to fix the color.

My stylist is Alysa and she does excellent coloring and hair cut/style. Would definitely recommend.

Got my hair trimmed and layered and I am IN LOVE with what they did. Definitely recommend going if you’ve never been 😉

I went in today & was able to be seen soon after arriving. I got Jennifer who was amazing! She has a wonderful personality & did wonderful work on my hair! I thought it was reasonably priced, but she did just start so that may have had something to do with it. Either way, definitely a great experience! Will be going back the next time i get an itch to get a cut.

At first I was very happy that my hairstylist was being very thorough. I didnt realize that she was thoroughly burning my hair. Never again.

Ok so ive been here several times i keep hoping that ill get the right stylist one lady was pretty good but next time i came in foubd out she left as did another lady who was ok anyway they dont keep the same staff and last time i was there i was told i could get a haircut for 30 didnt want it blow dried or styled i told her; i didnt notice until the last minute she was really cutting my hair she was just combing it then proceeded to blow dry and said no extra cause she wanted to see it styled then when i got to the register apparently got charged anyway she snunk it in the price so i only gave a 5 dollor tip she didnt look happy but neither was i i asked her to cut the dead ends off shouldnd have closed my eyes and everytime they charge different prices what the heck im dont with it nobody seems to be going there probably hurting like the rest of the store to bad jc salon better customer service and exact pricing listed clearly

I really liked Angelica, but Im not comfortable with the funky pricing. I agree with writer who says they make you feel like a cheapskate for inquiring about the tiered pricing for certain stylists, for the same services. So as your stylist gains tenure, they can charge more. I dont know how they are still in business.

Honestly the salon or hair stylists in my opinion arent even qualified to charge over anything past $30-$40. They dont have the same level of expertise or experience like actual REAL HAIR STYLISTS that have to keep continuing school way after they first graduated many many years ago to be able to charge the higher prices. Where a cut is a minimum of $50-$65 . JC Penny should NEVER EVER charge morw than $20 for a cut because Id definitely go somewhere else. I go to a salon in hyde park and the owner does my hair, typically youre not required to tip them , anyhow, I always have the owner do my hair and hes worth the $75 and up for cut,color and style its about $320. And Ill pay that anyday than a $65-$80 cut and color at JC PENNYs!! Id rather go to WALMART just a trim or cut! No style or anything but JC Pennys starting to think theyre a 5star salon is absolutely Mind Blowing!! Lol hahaha never in a million years wud I ever go there and pay!

We didnt get to make an appointment because we were discouraged before we even entered. A very nice lady was at the counter outside who was friendly, acknowledged and greeted us as we entered the foyer, thus the one star rating.My friend and myself, both retired ladies, were in search of a new hair salon in the Brandon FL area and hoping we could be walk-ins that day, and if not to be able to make appts for the next day or for one day that week. When we asked about the price for cut and color, another woman without a smile came up to us and handed us a pamphlet which was NOT self-explanatory. Prices were $65 and up. When we asked about the up part, she proceeded to make us look stupid for not realizing that there were certain levels of designers - and later said the same system of pricing existed all over the country although, at our ages, my friend and I had never seen it, and weve been all over the country.She explained something to the effect, from what I could grasp anyway of her explanation, was that wed either want an ordinary designer or a senior designer (and there was a third level which I now cant remember what, perhaps it was master..., and the prices climbed as we went up the scale)..? We asked if that meant the $65 level designers were students or just inexperienced, and she said it meant they did not have much experience at JCPenneys whereas the more expensive designers did.What we finally came to understand is that you practice a form of segregation making the newer employees look like crap (despite how many years theyve been working at their craft elsewhere before joining your company) while the others are made to automatically look better at what they do, and the customers that didnt appreciate that fact were both stupid and cheap. We had never in our life seen an act of such offensive segregation OR such an unfriendly attitude to two potential lifelong customers as we could have become OR of purposely trying to alienate customers due to a refusal to an inability to be friendly.Your employee without a smile may have personal problems that I have empathy for. Nevertheless her unfriendly and totally hoity-toity attitude simply turned us away.---- Are you NO LONGER our one and only JC PENNEYS friendly and welcoming store AND hair salon?? Or have you become a Neiman Marcus wanna-be...??.., although even THEY are friendly and DO cater to many of the citys hoity-toities. Needless to say, we will not be doing business with you or your hair salon.And also I might add, weve both had, through the years, some of the BEST HAIR SYLISTS EVER for $65.00, so good luck on your $80 and up prices youre charging JUST BECAUSE someone has worked for JCP and are therefore better than everyone else. Shame on you.Leslie
