Had a top right wisdom tooth removed today. I was very nervous at first but after talking with the nurse and the doctor I relaxed fairly quickly. The nurse (I wish I could remember her name but it escapes me now) explained what was going to happen and answered all my questions. Once I was numbed the doctor was in the room less than 5 minutes and my tooth was out. The doctor told me everything he was going to do before he did it which I greatly appreciated. I didnt feel anything and was surprised how quickly it was taken care of. It has been 6 hours and I feel pretty good at this time. Thanks to everyone today for the professional care that I received. I am very happy with results and will recommend you to anyone. Again Thank You!

I usually don’t do reviews, but I felt compelled to.I have had three teeth extracted in the last few years by Dr. Foss. He is terrific, kind, polite and so good at his skill that he was done almost before I realize he had started. He also has a wonderful, knowledgeable friendly team that makes you feel at ease. Everyone was very nice. Even though I had to have 4 teeth removed, so it wasnt exactly a good day for me, it all went pretty smoothly. I had really no pain whatsoever. They did a good job of putting me at ease.

Had two difficult extractions. Dr. accepted my input regarding my history with numbing therapy - I need lots. Once under way the task was quickly completed with only minor discomfort, scooting me out the door with necessary post-op information and supplies. Perhaps the easiest extraction I was ever awake for.

I have had multiple oral surgeries with them over the past 20 years and they are a class act.Very friendly staff,great service and excellent follow up. I highly recommend them to everyone!!

I just had my initial visit for a planned implant. They used the images sent to them from a previous dentist. The visit consisted of a 5-10 minute slide show about implants from the assistant and then the dentist came in and looked at my mouth for about 15 seconds. The dentist was in the exam room for about 3 minutes. That was it. I was fine with the visit as I am sure they need to lay eyes on the mouth before they know they can do the treatment. I have a problem with that visit costing me $175 at the desk before the consult.

The doctor seemed extremely competent. Billing was a bit unusual.I prepaid for the procedure because I dont have dental insurance.Not opposed to dental insurance but it generally is not economicaland not even taken by most dentists. I dont really understand why a copy of your drivers license is required even when you prepay with a prior approved credit card but they still do. Maybe they should accept insurance for retirees if they all want us on insurance? Just a thought.

I had an appointment this morning at the Oral and Maxillofacial Facial Surgery Associates, Ltd. office in Bemidji, Minnesota. I am a left leg amputee and needed a wheelchair From the beginning of this first visit, the staff was responsive, competent, and gracious. Today my daughter had a tooth extracted. She had a good experience, and everyone there was so friendly and kind. I just wish they allowed me to be in the room with her. Thankfully she did ok, but had she not I would have been really upset.

This was my first time ever going into an oral surgery office and everyone was so wonderful! Not one of them wasnt helpful and they were so kind through my difficulty of calming down(I was very anxious). Finished under 30 minutes and had made sure I was okay every 5 seconds. Very welcoming staff. I asked for Novocain and gas to have my wisdom teeth removed. They not only accommodated but made sure to check in with me frequently to ensure that I had the right levels to numb me up. The whole operation took 15 minutes. I would 100% recommend these guys. Top Notch!

I was recommended to Dr Foss by a local dentist office. He was very good at explaining everything that was going to happen during my wisdom tooth extraction. His assistant was really good at calming my anxiety. I arrived a few minutes early for my appointment to complete paperwork and was promptly taken back to a room and prepped for my procedure. I also had a molar pulled as well. My husband had 2 extractions which he says went wonderfully. He said the injections of Novocain was pain free. The only thing he said they could have done better is gone through his home instructions better. We did not know he had a prescription of antibiotics to fill. We had to make an additional 40 mile round trip to pick up this med. This could have been easily prevented. The instructions could have been gone through with him while he was waiting for the Novocain to work. He felt like his instructions were just thrown at him.

My dentist sent me over for a consultation regarding an implant Ive had for several years. Courtesy and professionalism marked my time at Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, from the initial intake (demographics, insurance) to the doctors assistant to Dr. Menghini himself. Straightforward and unambiguous, Dr. Menghini assured me there was no issue with the implant. I appreciated his understanding of my question, his clear explanation, and his positive attitude.

I had to have removal surgery for my wisdom and two other teeth and they took have all of my medical and dental insurance and still wanted 1,300 upfront even though I had medical and dental insurance and I didnt have the money so they denied me for everything, Im better off just ripping my teeth out myself then paying that price just not even a two hour appointment, so if your not a wealthy I do not recommend this place at all.

Dr. Foss has taken care of my extraction and implant needs for many years. His main concern is keeping me comfortable during the procedure and he excels at just that. I rarely feel the Novocaine going in and if I do, the needle pain is minimal. The procedural pain is non-existent. I DO NOT LIKE PAIN and that is why I keep going back to him. I would recommend Dr. Foss at Oral and Max to anyone contemplating or needing dental surgery-they are the best as is Dr. Foss. My highest rating for them is easy to give and is also well deserved. 5 1/2 stars please. Bruce G., Nisswa, MN.

I was able to get in for an emergency tooth extraction a week earlier than at other locations. After the necessary paper work I was immediately treated with minimal pain and discomfort as I was on laughing gas and Novocain.The procedure was very quick. Melody and Dr. Anderson did an excellent professional job. I highly recommend this clinic and would return there if need be. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Ive been to numerous dentists and doctors in the past but this was by far the worst experience Ive had. I was told to arrive a half hour early for my appointment (which was not a problem for me) but when I showed up, they were not open for another half hour yet. When I finally did get in, my appointment was a delayed due to them not opening up so I could fill out the proper forms. After filling out paperwork, I was seen by Dr. Anderson and her assistant, they were very vague on answering any questions or concerns that I had. Once my wisdom teeth extraction started, Dr. Anderson was very aggressive with giving me novocaine to the point my entire body was tensed up and I was almost tearing up. At one point while Dr. Anderson was removing one of my wisdom teeth, I could feel a little pain and had asked to stop for a moment but she proceeded to tell me to hold on and continued to pull my tooth out the rest of the way. Things were so rushed here, I felt like I was in a mcdonalds drive thru being pushed through a line. I will never step foot in this place again.

I go to dentists, etc., with dread. I have to say I did not leave with dread. I was treated gently and without scary pain. I did not have anesthesia , just a local, and am not dreading the next. It was quick too.

I have had dental issues since I was a small child and have endured many horrific dental appointments but Never at the Brainerd Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery offices. He is sure to make you feel comfortable and doesnt want you to feel a bit of pain while he is working on you. The entire staff is super friendly, compassionate and helpful. Great personalities in this staff and you can feel the joy as they work side by side in support of each other. Its helpful in relaxing during a procedure when you dont have to feel that office tension that so many other places have. I would, and have, recommended Dr. Menghini to my friends and family members over and over again. If an Oral Surgery appointment can be enjoyable, this is it. I wont go anywhere else!

I,Tom,was referred to OMSA by our family Dentist. While dealing with dental issues is not a lot of fun, the Staff immediately put you at ease. Ashley Gibson, the Implant Coordinator, is very professional and a joy to work with. She explains procedures in layman terms, and answered all my questions and concerns.Dr. Menghini was very thorough and explained in detail a number of options that were available to address my issues. His experience and expertise in his field allayed all of my concerns. I look forward to getting my dental issues fixed!

Very informative first visit with Dr. Menghini. Was referred to him and our discussion and his experience made me confident in my upcoming surgery. The office staff was very friendly. The only discomfort was in their Covid protocols, the front desk staff both had their face masks under their noses.

With my own dentist retiring just a few months before Covid hit, I was unable to get into any local dentist that was taking new patients & also my insurance. I saw a dentist finally in Bemidji & he referred me here to extract a tooth Id broken in March. I really liked the warmth & helpfulness of the receptionist & of the oral surgeon, Dr. Anderson. She answered every question & pushed to get me in soon, as Id already been waiting so long. Im having oral surgery next week with her and glad to be in her care!

The doctor who took my appointment was running late and only spent about two or three minutes with me. She said she had someone waiting and she was late for their appointment. The charge was $165. A biopsy was scheduled but I called and cancelled . Another doctor agreed to do the procedure but there would be no consultation - I had questions that I was unable to ask and wondered if my after-treatment would be handled in the same brisk manner. I scheduled at a different clinic. The staff was very nice, however.

Efficient and professional dental surgery options! Wish the option to video tape or view in real time was available. What a world of pain after the fact though. I have never experienced a pulled tooth before.

This is one of the few clinics my insurance will cover me going to, which is how I was directed to Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates.The building was clean and the staff all very friendly; I have no complaints there!I know that many businesses (especially clinics!) are having a hard time adjusting to the new hygienic practices during the COVID-19 pandemic. I was still pretty uncomfortable with getting my temperature tested by a device out to my face the desk helper wasn’t washing off at all between people! Fortunately after letting a nurse know, she went to correct the helper’s use of the device. I am glad I said something.Again - very friendly! They also showed real concern for the issues I had with my teeth, and were very quick and efficient in explaining what needed to be done, how to do it, and what my options were.My next discomfort was probably a result of an overworked doctor trying to see too many patients from a backlog of dental work during shutdown, but it was still nerve wracking sitting in the chair; he got his gloves out after digging through several doors - then left the room to get a tool he was missing or something and came back - touching all these things all over the place, while holding gloves meant to be clean for my mouth, and never washed his hands or got a fresh pair of gloves! His sterile dental instrument he kept away from anything once opened though.I want to say I’d have been uncomfortable even under normal circumstances; I was only made more-so because I am potentially a high risk person for COVID to affect dangerously. I’m glad for the staff making corrections when issues were mentioned, and wish I had gotten over my nerves to speak to the doctor right then about my concerns.All in all, hoping for a good surgery to remove my wisdom teeth, and willing to give them a second chance. They have their hearts in the right place... actions will catch up in time.

Great Experience, needed to get into the office to have a broken tooth pulled, the staff took my name and followed up with a cancellation, got me in right away. My Surgeon explained what he was going to do, numbed things up and it was quick. Now I’m looking forward to a Bridge! Very Professional from check in to the procedure and out the door! Thank You!

My appointment started on time. I didnt have to wait alone in the surgery room at all. A nurse? was there and began the numbing process immediately for the surgery. In a few minutes the surgeon came in and administered the local anesthetic. I waited about 15 or 20 minutes for the numbing process to work and then the surgeon returned to pull my broken tooth. It was done in less that 5 minutes and I was led to another room where I received instructions for caring for my mouth after surgery, given a prescription to take to my pharmacy and written instructions for the next 7 days along with phone numbers to call if I have any problems. I thought the care was superior and I do not hesitate to recommend this dental service to anyone. I will certainly be willing to return if I need this type of surgery again.

I would recommend other people to oral & maxillofacial. They did a very good job on my teeth and the dentist and nurses were all very kind and caring!

They did a great job on fitting me in with mine and their busy schedule. Also, the procedure was fast and as painless as they could make it. I would recommend them to anyone!
