Perfect for my kid. The family had fun riding all the rides multiple times. The rides are designed for even the smaller children. My daughter who is shorter than most was able to ride almost all rides. The ferris wheel and the old time metal coaster were a blast. The boat was a little intense the third time. We enjoyed the food and laughter that filled the day. The attendants were very good and making sure that this was all about the kids. There is waiting and lots to do so a bit of preparedness as parents goes a long way.
This place cost us almost $100 for admission for 4. Any time we wanted to ride a ride there was no attendant at the ride and we waiting 20 minutes a couple of times and still had no success with getting an attendant over to any of the rides. These are pictures of all of the rides that had no attendant at 3:54pm on a Sunday (today). There were 3 rides operating at this time. There was even an attendant just standing at the exit of one of the rides staring at all of the people in the lines that were not operating. It seemed liked everybody went on break all at the same time for over two hours. At one point, an attendant had told us that he would be right back, we waited 15 minutes and then he was finally back. Then got us on one ride and then told us he had to go on break. The attendants also yell at these little kids while they are on the rides, trying to scare them…and they did scare several of them (it was weird). We are significantly disappointed with the steep price and the underwhelming experience. If we were to praise anybody or anything, We would praise the teenage workers that had a positive attitude and were awesome at their jobs. Abbie was also great!
Website said it was open. Two hour drive and two anxious kids later We only got a chance to meet the giant blue ox it was still cool enough that the kids didn’t show too much disappointment the actual park was closed. We will be willing to try again some other time with the hopes that the website is updated
Staff is amazing and so friendly. It seriously is a little gem. Worth visiting at least once with the kids before they get to big for the rides. Great prices, so much to see and do. Rides, photos, gift shop, tons of antiques and cute exhibits petting zoo, animals to feed. . My little one had a blast. She loves paul!! They have a camp ground to stay at as well!! I definitely suggest a visit there is so much more. Even the old time photos is a deal it like a quarter what you pay at a place like valley fair and you get a CD to take home!Dont forget Paul talks to the kiddos and they have great place to eat too! He says your name!!!
A blast from the past. This park is meant to take you back into time we spent 2 hours here and had quite a bit of fun. At first I thought it was expensive but if you break it down you get the rides, petting zoo, and a museum all for one price. Dont come here thinking this is six flags... its a part of history and I hope its here for another 50 years at least.
Paul Bunyan is a Minnesotan tale, and this place brings it to life! They offer a reasonable entry price that allows to to go on rides and visit This Old Farm. Theres even a parade of tractors and other antique vehicles during a weekend in August. Highly recommend and being your children with too, theyll probably enjoy the petting barn if nothing else.
Stopped here on our way back home last week. All of the staff was courteous and attentive. Our boys loved talking to Paul Bunyan. My wife went to the admission desk during a bathroom break and asked if Paul could speak to our kids again. They willingly obliged, much to our kids delight. Three times this week, my younger child has asked, when can we go back to Paul Bunyan Land?
The haunted house and corn maze was amazing every one did and amazing job
Super fun place! I was thoroughly entertained by everything there. Definitely a place for all ages. Paul Bunyan was super cool and I really liked the petting zoo (the cow was my favorite). The staff were super friendly as well. Great place!
The atmosphere was extremely nice. Very clean, fun activities for kids. Staff customer service was AMAZING. Would highly recommend.
Ages 5, 8, 10, 36, 56, and 57 all had a fun day! If you have a rustic spirit, you will enjoy Paul Bunyan Land. Many rides are the vintage originals. You will spend some cash but make memories.
Ok so we didnt actually get to go in but we did drive around and looked through the fence and saw all the really cool things you could do. I gave it 5 stars based on that and I will go back with my grandson, pay to get in and make it a full blown experience.
SO EXPENSIVE!! Not only was it ridiculously over priced but you don’t even get anything out of it. Rides are out of date according to the stickers of when “last serviced”. Not enough people working the rides and not very friendly. Rides are designed for a very select age. Our 2 year old was not big enough and the 5 year old was really the only one out of our group 7 that enjoyed his time and thankfully he is an independent little guy as rides were small and not adult friendly. The giant talking Paul Bunyan was cool-ish for the 5 year old…completely terrifying and nightmare inducing for the generally fearless 2 year old. Gift shop was extremely sparse and again over priced. Wish we had listened to other reviewers and gone anywhere else.
Nice place for kids. We take our grandkids there every year for about the past six years. They have a really good time. You pay one fee for all the rides. You can also visit there Old Farm displays.
Brought our grandsons, ages 5 & 7 today. Rides were appropriate for their ages and no waiting for rides. I had as much fun as they did!
Its one of those places you have to bring your kids to see if youre in the area. We had a great time but its the definition of a tourist trap.
Nice lil camping area. Also not to far from town. The owners and workers were very helpful.
Wonderful place. My grandparents brought my mom when she was little, they brought me and now I can bring my kids. Talking Paul Bunyan is a huge highlight. Everyone always has a blast. Many many great memories have been made here.
Should really have a non rider price at a discount. Kind of pricey if youre there just to watch kids ride. Fun for younger kids though.
The ride operator had a swastika tattoo on his right inside forearm… our kids had a great time but the owners are making a statement by allowing this employee to work there.
Havent been there since they moved before this I was really happy to see Paul
Great time.... Nice location. Wonderful people. Interesting events.
This place was fun. The kids loved it and the guy running the giant Paul Bunyan was super patient and friendly with our kids. Was kind of expensive, all things considered. We went on a hot day so we didnt get to ride everything.
I am always in the brainerd area in the summer. This was my first year having my daughter be old enough for the rides. She has gone on a few fair rides but these ones here were so unsafe that we ended up just leaving! A few days after we left I had heard a story about how a ride broke with people on it and that it wasnt handled appropriately. I dont know the truth of this but regardless I wont probably come back solely for the rides. Big Paul and Babe are always fun!
We brought are 4 year old grandson there and we had a great time he love it ,
Found this little gem and had a blast for several hours! Paul Bunyan says Hi to the kids by name when they walk in, took them by surprise! Nice rides for all ages. Food was good. Petting zoo is always fun. The kids also had fun walking through the old buildings although they didnt care much for the mannequins 😆😆. Really nice, friendly staff. The old mine building was trippy! Will be back!!
So much fun! The rides were awesome
The rides are old but still fun for young kids. (Teens wont be as entertained) Ye Old Farm has more than Bonanzaville in West Fargo, so worth a trip if you like that.
Great price for the historic village tour and all the included fair rides. Kids had a great time!
Amazing!!! Dont be surprised to have a full on conversation with Big Paul! Wish I wouldve arrived sooner to get old time photos!
This place is a joke. Barely any animals and no rides for smaller children under 4 and nothing for older children. Barely any staff and extremely expensive for how little there is to do. Safari zoo down the road was so much better for the whole family and the rides were much more fun.
Been coming here since I was a kid now I get to bring my kids and grand kids we love it
I been here for the first time the other day after my lady told me her childhood stories about it.What a rip off. 20 bucks a person for fair rides and a town that just sits there, kinda open, void of people. Also I looked in the gift store, it was bare and a small paul bunyan doll for 19.99. Avoid at all cost.
Endless amount of entertainment old farm old farmhouse Paul Bunyan Land with rides. just a whole day of fun.
We had a great time!!! Loved the tractor ride around the park.
Meh. Was ok. Definitely more for kids
Our 10 and 8 year olds really had a great time! Price was quite reasonable.
The kids and grandkids had a blast!
The rides aren’t fully staffed. Waited forever to get on a ride but the attendant skipped the one we were waiting for to operate one that someone just walked up to.Ryan the manager was great though, if he saw us waiting too long he would run over from what he was doing and operate the ride for us.
Me and my cousin had a great time. the staff is all amazing, especially steve and joe! we even played hide and seek with paul bunyanthis is her cousin. my review is i had a 10/10 time. joe and steve deserve raises because they were awesome. we had a great time on the rides and talking to the creepy anamatronic pual bunyun.
Terrible park, not enough workers to run the rides, when I was a kid and THIS was in BRAINERD it was awesome, now its a run down park, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY, the only good thing is Paul Bunyan and babe his ox
On this particular visit, we only took quick photos with Babe the blue Ox. The parking lot was near empty. Having visited multiple times, we knew its was too expensive for what you get.
The ride attendants were very nice!
Wonderful place for children 3 and up. Only downfall is that the price is a bit expensive.
A bit out of the way but a damn good place to take the kids and contribute to the local economy. Its not that expensive and it is quite fun.
Great place to visit and awesome people that work there
Very kid friendly! Had a great time.
Great place for all ages! The kids loved the rides, rock climbing wall, petting zoo and attractions! The adults enjoyed walking around Pioneer Village too! We appreciated that the admission was basically all inclusive (except food of course). The staff was super friendly & park was very clean. Plenty of staff to run the rides. My kids never waited more than a few minutes for anything, even on a beautiful Friday afternoon in the summer.
Staff were very nice and great with kids!
Nice place to go with your children and grandchildren
Its neat but the rides are pretty old and may be dangerous.
Grandkids had a lot of fun.
This place is amazing for birthdays!
Lots of fun! A little understaffed but staff did great job keeping up
Great. Paul was kinda scary but it was fun
Kids had a blast enough to do in a day
I went to the original location when I was a kid, but this still has everything I remember. We had to bring it kids when we were up this way. The biggest draw is the giant taking Paul Bunyan to be sure, but theres loads of fun rides for younger kids. Our oldest (11) still had a fun time. The old time village was also fun and the kids got to see some cool old stuff. The only downside was the petting zoo. It was sad. All in all though a fun afternoon.
It was closed but it was nice to visit the Blue ox I havent been there for 50 some years
It was my first time there and i loved it
Its a good place to camp and visit
Its nostalgic, its kitsch, its the same old Paul Bunyan! Some rides I swear are the same as the from 1991. The park brought me a lot of joy as a child, and my children got to experience the same feeling after our recent visit. The rides and attractions were just right for my 3 and 5 year old. The price is what it is because it is unique and youll probably only need to visit once or twice! We arrived in the morning, left for lunch and came back for the afternoon. The place isnt Disneyland but it was just right for us and a fun day trip. Its a rite of passage for Minnesota kids, and I hope it will around for many years to come!
Life time of memories... Thank you for keeping Paul Bunyan in the Brainerd area!
Always a wonderful family experience ❤
Water, wheres some darn water I dont have to pay an arm for?
For the 138.00 i paid for was very boring and big disappointment. Barley any workers for rides and some of them were kinda rude. For sure a waste of money!!!!!!!
Always a great time with the kids.
Wonderful family time.
Very run down not at all what I remember as a kid
Great family fun!
Great fun for the family
Great amusment park. Very clean. Campground is new, bathrooms spotless. Host even carted my family to entance of park and back several times. We will be back. We recommend the campground and park.
