H4h they build homes and provide real good items and goods at a fraction of the cost! Buying and donating there is in line with helping the human condition...ask for Karen or Luis (Director and Manager, respectively)...they are the best!

We had numerous pieces of furniture we no longer needed and decided to donate to Habitat for Humanity. The entire process was very simple, I called and made an appointment for pick up. Jason and another gentleman (sorry I didn’t ask his name) arrived as scheduled (both wore their masks the entire time). They had all the paperwork in order, were very polite professional and efficient. They treated our home with care and respect and for that I am grateful. Kudos to the entire team for helping others in our community!!!

So impressed with the scheduling, communication & promptness when I donated a large bedroom set. The pickup driver, Jason, was friendly and efficient. I certainly recommend donating to this group.

I was sooo pleased with your pick up service because of one person -- Jason Kadem. He was very respectful of the doorways and our home when removing the furniture. He was very professional and friendly, which made us comfortable having him in our home. I will recommend Habitate highly for any donations because of Jason. Our congradulations for having such a wonderful employee. Again our sincere Thanks for a great experience and your quality of employees. Howard & Linda McAbee

Youre gonna love this place!! Huge. Tons to search thru. Unbelievable selection of everything! Gigantic selection of furniture and clothes. Housewares and even remodel needs. Keep in mind delivery is a minimum of $50. I got a great deal on a nice Lil loveseat that I adore, was $100 but on sale for $50. Now I have to pay $50 for delivery so no sale price but free delivery... Depends on how you look at it.

This store is incredible you never know what you’re going to find. Everything is very well organized and the prices are incredible. The staff is extremely nice I would definitely recommend everyone try this one of the best thrift stores I have ever been in ... and by the way it smells amazing not like your typical thrift store

They have a lot of good stuff but I feel they are way over priced. Much like Goodwill, I dont know when the pricing went up so much for free things that are donated to them. Ive compared Habitats pricing to retail and found little discount.

I have volunteered with a number of different groups (Habitat for Humanity and Lutheran Social Services to name a few) around the US and Internationally, and I have volunteered with Manatee County Habitat for Humanity on a regular basis for the past year. I have found this specific group to be very professional, safety conscious, and they provide fantastic support (tools, teaching, oversight) for the volunteers. The structures that they build or rehabilitated are designed well, are sturdy and built with quality.

Fl
Review №32

The people, mostly volunteers, are very nice and interested in what they are doing. I have shopped there and found the store interesting. I also had them pick up an antique slipper tub, but those 2 volunteers were not quite strong enough to handle the cast iron tub and the lip was tragically chipped. This week we sent our old kitchen cupboards but when we called to find out where it was so we could get the sink flange thingy back, they said those kind of Big Things do not go to Cortez and put us through to a number that didnt answer. I guess they need more volunteers at the Big Thing Place, wherever that is.

Big disappointment. Having shopped in the Sarasota locations for a number of years with great success I was disappointed how unfriendly the store was and the quality of the merchandise. No one in the store greeted me or spoke with me during my entire visit. Employees were hanging pictures, working on displays and standing around in groups having discussions with each other. I mentioned to the cashier as I was leaving that since I was traveling from Sarasota to see the new store I wanted to know their hours of operation before making the trip after work. I was unable to find their hours on their website and when I called the listed number it went to a voice mail that asked me to leave a message. The young man acted as if he couldnt care any less and didnt even offer to notify a supervisor or manager. Ill continue to support Habitat and shop in their stores but I think I will stick with the Sarasota locations, they seem to be a much nicer environment and better organized.

Way over priced. You can buy new stuff for not much more. Have done a lot of business with REStore in RI, and gotten some really good stuff for very reasonable prices. The people in this store seem to think it is a consignment store.

Everything is overpriced I suggest you search for prices at other locations to compare before buying here! Some times even new items at other stores are cheaper than the used item here...

You should be more aware with customers about the high prices, remember that all these items are donated to help humanity. Not all the people of low resources can have access to be able to buy in this place, the prices are very high and the articles of uses, abuse a lot with expensive prices.
