This is the second time Dr. Boyer operates on my husband. The first time the experience was ok, it was really difficult to get in contact with someone in the office via phone, therefore any time we needed anything we had to go all the way to the doctors office, which was quiet inconvenient. The second surgery, well what can I say, starting with that Dr. Boyer didnt even talk to me after my husbands surgery, we never saw him after that. For my husbands 4 week follow up we only saw Dr. Boyers nurse Peggy, which I thought was odd because of the severity of the surgery he should have at least been seen by the nurse practitioner. Then my husband starts physical therapy and he is not ready to return to work due to extreme pain and lack of mobility of his neck. I dropped off some documents (extension of medical leave) to be completed by Dr. Boyer, what a deception, there were MANY discrepancies on dates, and the physical therapists recommendations were not even taken into account having my husband return to work in a few days. It was made obvious that no one was listening to my husbands concerns regarding his pain, his inability to rotate his head, able to completely move his head up and down nor his concern regarding not being able to fulfill his job due to severe pain. When we realized that there were some discrepancies we went back to Dr. Boyers office to drop off the papers to be corrected. Peggy, Dr. Boyers nurse came out to the waiting room and didnt even allow me to finish speaking when she yanked the papers out of my hands and raised her voice quiet loud saying that the physical therapist did not have the authority to tell my husband when he was able to return to work, that that was Dr. Boyers job and that she didnt have the time to be speaking to us and she stormed away. How embarrassing, there were at least 12 people in the waiting room and there was no need for that kind of behavior, we have always been kind and courteous to everyone in the office, and what happened to Patient Privacy? There was no privacy at that moment. That afternoon when we got home there was a message from Peggy the nurse stating that Dr. Boyer made the corrections and that he was not going to give my husband any more extensions for work so work hard. Putting this comment aside, my husband and my son go back to the office to pick up the papers and once home we realize that only some dates were changed, not all of them, there for causing discrepancies once again and the ones that were corrected were corrected with WHITE OUT, are you kidding me, WHITE OUT on legal documents!!! That is a big no, no in the medical field. So, here we go again. I am almost sure that Dr. Boyer did not fill out the paper work, but if your signature is on it, it is as if you did. There is no reason for this kind of behavior, even if you are having a bad day, it is not the patients fault.

Dr Boyer operated on my C5 and C6, I had ruptured discs, spurs, paralysis in right arm and shoulder. He operated on me at 5 am and I was out of the hospital the following morning. I cannot say enough good things about him. I have a hard time believing these bad reviews.

I did not appreciate the service that I experienced at Dr. Boyers office. I found the intake staff to be very crass and completely lacking in empathy. I have CT scans showing moderate stenosis in by lower neck and in addition I have upper limb carpal tunnel in both arms and problems with my ulnar nerves and median nerves in both arms as well.Dr. Boyer after reviewing my CT scan was unsure of the action to take for treatment. He wanted to perform carpal tunnel surgery on one of my wrists to “See if that worked”, then would do the otherif it did. If it did not work, the the insurance company and I would be out all that money for Experimentation. He also suggested physical therapy and chiropractic which Ive tried for years with no success. So in essence, “Guess Work”.I also have severe lower lumbar stenosis and narrowing of the main canal in L3/L4 and L4/L5 with discdegeneration and osteoarthritis. After reviewing my lumbar CT scan he suggested surgery if the symptoms persisted.I was also very angry at whomever sent the ROF to my primary physician. In the notes it stated that I seemed, “UN-Interested” in seeking their assistance. Well, after reading the reviews of this establishment ,“Botched Surgeries”, first hand experience of the unempathetic intake staff. I rest my case. I did not feel comfortable there and will not go back.

He did not perform a complete surgical excision of the carotid plaque during CEA which is essential to prevent postoperative thrombus generation. Thus causing cerebral infarct in patient. Patient sent home prematurely and suffered CVA upon returning home. Extensive rehabilitation to follow and increased risk of mortality.
