Had to do a warranty claim through them (from a purchase in another state’s VisionWorks location) and they were super helpful and reassuring. Then I accidentally squished the frame a bit and they courteously and quickly repaired them. Yay!

Visited this store for the first time and only impressed with half of our visit. The Doctors office was great and helpful; highly recommended. The employee assisting my family in picking out our frames was not too friendly. The salesman is very dishonest and lied to us on what our insurance covered. He constantly tried to upsell products that we didnt have to pay for. After he constantly told us that what we were asking for was not covered, we both (the salesman and myself) looked up my insurance plan and thats when he agreed that I was correct. This is not to mention how this employee tried to make us feel that we were beneath him and his knowledge of optometry.I will highly recommend Dr. Giardina, but I will tell you to run away from purchasing your glasses at this location.

DO NOT GO HERE!! They will take you for all the money they can!! I went in for vision issues and decided to get contacts. I paid my copay and had to pay an additional $90 for a follow up “contact fitting”. I was told this would cover that next appointment and the cost of trial lens. After my contact fitting i reached back out because the trials were cheap and causing me lots of discomfort. After half a day of phone tag i was told i would have to pay another $60 to schedule a follow up appointment and be re-fitted. They couldn’t explain why when i just had been fitted and only wanted to try a different brand of lens. If you like having money in your pockets and your stress levels low AVOID GOING HERE.

I had an eye exam done by Dr. John Giardina, O.D.. He was very professional, knowledgeable and gave an excellent comprehensive eye exam. I had some eye concerns that he addressed very clearly. I am healthcare professional and I highly recommend Dr. Giardina for your eye care exams. Maverick was also very helpful in fitting the frames and lenses for my prescribed glasses.

I purchased my previous glasses from Vision Works when I was visiting up north loved both pair the sun glasses were great told them I wanted dark and thats what I got,but cant seem to get the same here even though the staff was great Im very unhappy with the tint on the sun glasses.Ive already returned them once for a different color tint but still have to squint out in the sun, not good for me.I will b returning them for another pair of regular glasses and hope they understand. I still have 90 days to return them so will be doing that soon. Again the staff was great try to be very helpful

Staff wasnt very friendly. No one offered to assist us with looking for new frames, just gave us a tray and told us to put anything we touched in it. It was my daughters first time getting glasses and she was nervous. Person making appointments didnt make eye contact and said as little as possible. Another employee was standing right outside the entrance smoking. Nice store, maybe we just went a bad time. Went to another establishment down the road and service was much better.

Staff was very rude all 3 times I have been there.Had no interest in being personable just wants to sale sale sale. Did want to hear about the problems I had and the one girl was very very rude and smarty pants like she was above me.I got glasses with search resistance and got a big scratch on them at eye level all the guy wanted to do is give an eye exam and check my insurance.Well Ill never got back to that place again hope that place goes under.I am 66 years old and they had no respect

Really happy I went to this Visionworks for an exam and purchase of 2 pair of glasses. Best exam Ive ever had: comprehensive and thorough. Dr. Giardina is easy to talk to and was very helpful in explaining my test results. Staff was helpful, kind and funny. Great experience!!

Had eye exam today, fantastic new Doctor, went well. I took advantage of the 50% off coupon I received in the mail. Picked out new frame & lenses for my new RX .The Manager Tony took care of me & also adjusted 3 pairs of glasses & replaced the nose pads. Great service , advice , comfortable clean & cool . I needed help with my glasses. I spoke to a gentleman named (highly recommend) Maverick. He corrected my issue and I was out the door in 10 minutes. This young man has a wonderful disposition and goes out of his way to help. This guy needs promoted!

My husband (aka S. King) and I went in this weekend to look for his new glasses, as the store where he had his exam was less than lacking in options, knowledge, and customer service (aka Optical Outlet).We were greeted cheerily, but not obnoxiously... as we perused for a new pair, Chad took our existing pairs, adjusted the fit on both and replaced the original hard nose pads with nice soft ones.. AT NO CHARGE!His chosen new pair was found and they handled the insurance and payment with great care.We definitely recommend this location (and in fact other locations such as Clearwater - as Ive always had good service there). The staff is professional and knowledgeable!

I was looking for help to buy new glasses with progressive lenses with UV protection, possible Transitions, and a frame to fit correctly on my narrow nose bridge. My current 3 yr. old glasses give me a headache because I have to wear those clumsy over the glasses sunglasses. They add weight and so the headaches. Before arriving at Visionworks I visited a different name eyeglass store...I was treated by blasé attention and lack of details so I left feeling bummed. As I walked into Visionworks, Alane greeted me and said she would be with me as soon as she finished with her current patron and even directed me to begin my search for a frame. Shortly thereafter, she came over to me and began pulling frames that she thought would fit my bridge and look good on me. Alane is attractive, very fashionable, looks chic in her glasses and I could tell she has very good taste. She is funny also. Alane made me feel comfortable and confident and making choices came much easier. We narrowed the choices down to 2 everyday wear frames and 2 sunglasses and finally to one of each. Done! I went with 2 pairs because of a super promotion. Alane explained all the different options to suit my personal needs and I feel I will be very pleased with the quality, workmanship and even fashion of my new glasses. Win, win, win!!!

They have a huge selection of frames but Amy and Alane helped me narrow it down to the perfect one. It was clear that the staff was knowledgeable and that they enjoy their jobs. Used my insurance so my out of pocket cost was ok. Saw that they have great deals for people without insurance. Highly recommended!

I have gone to this Visionworks for the last few years. Always been happy. Today I called at 3:29pm to see if I could possibly get an appointment for my sister and myself. A lady said sure , took our names and phone number and said come in at 5:15 & 5:30 for exams. We arrived at 5:15 and a blonde lady asked if we had appointments. My sister said yes. She had us to sit in the waiting room. No one came in to say anything to us, until 5:50. And said the Doctor was gone. They had first appointment written as 5:00 & 5:15. So we were left with no apology, just the Doctor was independent. Sorry. We drove 40 minutes to get there first nothing and they let us sit there all that time, while waiting on others. No consideration at all for our time and travel.Was going to buy 2 pair a piece. Just lost a loyal customer for Oh well, sorry .

So helpful and polite. I had not bought my glasses there but this young man fixed them anyway at no charge. My next pair I will buy there. So grateful for the help as I had been to four places prior. It renews the faith, as they say. Thanks so much!

EDIT: I went to another eye store to get a couple new pair of glasses as they had a great deal. Well, after 3 tries with the script from Visionworks, the Ophthalmologist did an eye exam and low & behold the script was significantly different. I can see so much better now than with the script from Visionworks and the daily headaches are now gone. I do believe Visionworks got the original script wrong. Because of that, I have changed my review from a 4 to a 3.Great deals. Theres also a staff member (cant recall her name) is that is always so kind and asks me about my sister every time I go in there & she had only met her once.

Such a pleasure to work with Alane at this location. I ordered and received a pair of glasses that ultimately I did not like after wearing them for 24HRS. Alane helped with an exchange to pair that better suited me and she was able to get them back to me the same day. I highly recommend Visionworks!!

I had cataract surgery and needed a new pair of glasses and not only was helped by the most sincere, patient and friendly Baker, I chose a cute eyeglass frame after MUCH deliberation. Baker never bugged me or tried to rush me. He also told me I could get a 2nd pair at a 60%discount and chose sunglasses with Polarized lenses and my distance prescription. Their selection is huge and their prices are affordable even for my fixed income. Looking forward to the text from Baker that the glasses are ready for pick up.

Ive had a horrible experience with the Visionworks on Cortez in Bradenton. Went in for my eye exam on Saturday. Had a fitting for contacts. The dr was nice and everything seemed to have been going good. They gave me some samples with my script. The dr told me to call with anytime with any questions or concerns. Ive called him 3 days in a row complaining that I cant see and Im having extreme dry eye. Ive had to leave a message everytime and I have yet to hear back from anyone. The staff that I talk with says well you probably need to try something else Ill give the dr a message never a return call. I work in the medical field and if a patient calls in with a problem its addressed very quickly within a few hrs. This is not the way to treat your patients especially when they are having problems. I would not recommend this dr and his staff. The rest of the place is great. Hopefully, I will get answers if not I guess I will have to go somewhere else. Unhappy patient. BTW Ive used this Visionworks before and they were great which was the reason I went back.

Great friendly and knowledgeable service!My husband and I walked into the store with the intentions of buying two pairs of sunglasses for me. Amy, one of the stores helpful eyewear technicians, approached us and asked if she could help. We stated that I was interested in a pair of aviator sunglasses and another pair that were more youthful and up-to-date. Bam! She had chosen two pairs of sunglasses within 15 min. that were perfect for the shape of my face, comfortable and attractive. Let me say that I was impressed because it NEVER takes me less than an hour before choosing one pair. In addition, my husband ended up choosing two pair of sunglasses too!Considering we walked in 1/2 hour before the store closed, Amy and her Boss (cant remember his name...sorry) never rushed us and stayed way past closing to complete our orders.This will be the place for ALL our eyewear needs going forward. Its been a couple years since I purchased my glasses from here. The nose pad broke off the other day and came in to get that fixed and Maverick went ahead and replaced both for me. Very fast and frendly, will defiantly be back to get new glasses soon.

Visionworks has over 700 store locations however the Bradenton store on Cortez has to be the best of them all !! The staff was not only professional but friendly. The selection of designer frames was excellent. The staff helped to find the perfect frames and gave suggestions on options such as the warrantee and glare resistant lenses without being pushy. Highly recommend this Visionworks!!!!

This place runs circles around Optical Outlets. Chad made the shopping experience unique to say the least. While we were shopping frames, he was busy working on our current frames to improve their fit and appearance. I am hoping the final delivery and adjustments of my new glasses is as pleasant of an experience. The only negative is my final recipe is very confusing. I can’t tell what I ordered, what I was charged by option and/or what VSP saving by options amounted to by option. VSP states exactly what my price/discounts should be based on options selected yet the receipt is very basic. Since Visionworks and VSP are merged I would have expected better paperwork. One star for the invoicing.

I just had to stop by and say thanks to the fine folks at visionworks here in Bradenton. I had the nicest people assist me as I got my first pair of eyeglasse (and an exam)in years. It was super easy and the people could not have been nicer. I even get to go back to pick them up today! Thank you guys so much. My mother plans to come back soon too for a pair!

We have always gone to Lensecrafters for over twenty years, but we received a coupon in the mail for the new Visionworks store. As we are both over seventy we were offered 70% of a complete pair of glasses. This seemed too good to be true, but we went along - ready to be disappointed. First they have a huge selection of frames and their staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We both picked out some very stylish frames and then chose our lenses. We both picked no line bifocals in the upgraded HD lenses - lightweight, polycarbonate, scratch resistant, no glare and Transitions Signature. Then came the price! We were ready to be disappointed, but each pair came to under $200. We each had a very thorough eye exam for $79 (about the going rate). The glasses took three working days to complete and when we went to pick them up they needed just a slight adjustment and they are perfect. I cannot believe we had such a great experience for such a good price. I would recommend this store one hundred percent.

I went in this morning to ask about pricing. Tony the clerk was the only person there. I must have interrupted his morning coffee because he was so rude to me while explaining pricing that I turned around and walked right out. He sounded like he hated his job.Disgusted. On their facebook page I had to put this in a post for all to see, because there oddly is not an option for Reviews! Went for their special on glasses and eye exam. The reason we came to this location because it was so close and convenient ...which was a complete fail! They said we didnt have an appt. and instead of an apology we got oh the girl that you talked to must not have written it down - WHAT!? No Im sorry, how can we make it up to you?...perhaps a FREE exam for your time and travel? Nope! We wasted the time and travel only to add aggravation to our disbelief of what transpired. When I got home I called Corp to explain the extreme poor and rudeness of the pretentious woman that works there. She is so fake and more in tune to her make up and attitude, than helping people! So the rep from Corp, Joann said she would take care of us and have the mgr call me to make a new appt...this was a Thursday - I waited, Friday, Saturday...Monday, Tuesday...yup! Thanks for the follow up! Store level and Corp failed majorly! Sad...very sad! And extremely disappointed! Bye-bye... Onto Optical Outlet with a less expensive complete exam as SCHEDULED and a wonderful special offer on 2 prs of glasses with ALL the bells and whistles I needed for my unique prescription!

The Dr. blew me off when I tried to explain the issue I am having and my reason for being there. I repeated myself four times and each time he said NOTHING!!! The only thing he said to me the whole time was right before I was leaving he said the new glasses would fix it. Well, the new glasses did nothing. Spent $500. Went back and they just wanted to do it all again on my dime. Walked out. The dr ignores you and doesnt want to be there. Were taking our money elsewhere.

I went with my wife a month ago no one helped us the girls there seemed to be more distracted with checking their phones and looked very unproffessional one was wearing track pants and the other one looked like she stayed up late the previous night for she was sleeping behind the desk. I would only recomend this place if you would like to get ignored and not attended to, I am sure they had good deals but apperantly no one wanted our money. We went to lenscrafters probably paid more but we were taken care of there not ignored. These days its worth paying a little extra money if you recieve good customer service.
