Im having trouble understanding how it is that my daughter who is 7 months pregnant and has a 4 year old son. She has turned in all required forms and has been waiting for the approval. To our surprise, she was denied medical for her and my grandson. And thats all she applied for. She cant return to the OBGYN for anymore check ups because she has no medical coverage. But yet, they can supply my almost 40 year neighbors (husband and wife) with medical and food stamps for them and their 2 children. These people dont have any disabilities and have no reason why they cannot work. They havent worked in over 10 years. But yet deny someone who desperately needs medical assistance. I sure hope that nothing happens to my daughter or my future grandchild. I will find someone to hold accountable. This is unacceptable

Service was very good. The lady behind the window was vey kind and pleasant towards me.

Ottawa county was a million times better. Many employees treat you like you are trash. Almost every person you talk to has the tone of I dont care and I dont want to be here.

Very fast In and out service when I was recently there.

The front desk lady was helpful and knowledgeable and I was able to resolve my issue quickly and in a timely manner. The most important part is that they were kind and respectful to me and of my situation. Its not easy needing welfare the last thing you need is to be judged by the person youre handing your paperwork to and I didnt feel judged in the least.

The staff here is friendly and helpful. No shame in getting some help if you need it, just dont abuse it. Taxpayers are NOT your babies daddy and theres too many generational families in this office. Get a freaking job.

Always polite when I go here. workers are very efficient. although there are no caseworkers in the building to speak with, they do their absolute best to answer questions.

And when trying to get help with food(Snap Benefits) I’m getting asked such STUPID, MUNDANE, And ARBITRARY questions that are completely IRRELEVANT!! (Am I filing Taxes next year *scratches head*)I NEED Food to eat. Why make every excuse possible, and look for EVERY Reason not to. Are you not suppose to help. WHY ARE YOU HERE?You goal should be to help people Not keep money in your pockets.

The girl made him fill out paperwork to turn in paperwork. Hes a non reader had to ask a stranger and give social security # to stranger. Yet while doing this the lady took paperwork from others without filling out form. This is bad. Should be more helpful.

Worst staff around. The people there really need more job training and learn how to interact with people! Its your JOB!!! BTW wasnt there for bady daddy issues. I receive kinship care for my two nieces that Ive been receiving money for them for 11 years, I move and going through a seperation screwed their case up badly, TWO months went without their money because THEY made the mistake. SMH, speak before you know of ALL peoples situations, regardless!!

Parenting isnt always easy but thankfully theres plenty of understanding and helpful souls in JFS that can find a program that fires your needs if you need help.

My 1 Star goes ONLY towards the receptionist. The older lady. Ive seen her be so rude to other people and act annoyed that people are even there. So why are you even working somewhere with high traffic of PUBLIC? Thankfully shes never been rude to me, because Id say this exact review, to her face. No need to be snippy to people who are there for help, its your job to direct them to the proper place.

I dont like this place at all i go here to visit my son its a 2 hour visit and bcuz i come from a different county they make us stay in the eating room its uncomfortable i cant hold and cuddle with my child and theres very little for us to do for 2 hours

The staff was quick. But woefully inadequate to help anyone trying navigating the labyrinth of red tape and pitfalls in our great government programs.

They have made copies of the required documents. The answers have been timely.

Very clean and updated facility, I actually loved that it is right beside the sheriff dept.

Would help a bit more if the staff at the windows knew a bit more knowledge about in inner workings of Job and Family Services

I went here to clear up some confusion. While it was cleared up, it was entirely too early in the morning for getting talked down to and getting somewhat yelled at.

I like they give out tickets to the mud hens

Went out of the way to help get me the services I needed
