This is one of the nicest campgrounds weve stayed at on this trip. Many parks are a gravel parking lot but this is very nicely treed with lots of shaded areas. Large fenced dog relief area with wooden things for the dogs to climb on. The whole place is very clean and the staff helpful as well as friendly. More money than many to stay here but its worth it.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We arrived for a two day stay in one of the cabins and enjoyed our stay. We played on the air/bouncy playground, fished in the free fishing pond, and played mini golf. The KOA is close enough to town to make store runs, or restaurants. For cooking, they had a firepit, a BBQ grill, and even a covered table/cooking area with a picnic table, sink, and power. It let us use electric griddles and wash/dry our dishes, since the cabin didnt have water. We enjoyed our stay.

Well it would have already been closed due to time of year, but the pool had been closed all season and not one mention of that on web site. Plenty for kids to do and have fun incliding one of those bounce things. Bathrooms clean and functional. But condition of 18 hole output a disappointment. How ever place is under new management and repairs are being made. Biggest downfall. To close to interstate and no type of noise barriers to happen noise. You can hear it easily inside campers.

I’m wrapping up a five night stay at the property. The new owners (spring of 21) appear to be very active updating and tidying up the property. The facilities are very clean and well kept. The crews are actively updating, cleaning and maintaining the property. There’s a great jumping area for the kids and a dog walk and training area. The cottages look great and are tidy with new metal roofs. Further evidence of the commitment to keeping this property really appealing. We stayed in a shaded, full hookup site near the playground. The patio and fire pit were very nice. The maintenance crew was busy power washing the other site the day prior.I would definitely come here again.

We only spent one night here, a Saturday stay. We hardly noticed the highway noise, this could be that our site was in the front half of the grounds but playing on the jump pillow (nearest to the highway) the noise was not bad at all.The space of the sites was better than expected in a KOA. Several of the them are not very level so be prepared for some blocking under you wheels. There is a really nice open area that has horseshoes and corn hole all setup. A sand volleyball court looked very well maintained as well.We would come back here for another visit if we were traveling through.

We stayed here on our way to Michigan and then two weeks later we stayed over night again on our way back home. The first time we thought ok, they are having a few problems. The pool was not open and the ice machine did not work. We had to go out and get ice from a local market. On our second stay nothing had changed plus when we checked in kids were running around in the lobby and people were eating at the front counter. It just looked very unprofessional. Dont know if we will try it again or not.

New owners arent nearly as friendly as the previous owner and are money hungry. They have made minor improvements to the park, but nothing to warrant the HUGH hike in price for the long term guests (which came w/ no notice). Very pricey. High turn over of employees. New owners have run off several of the original employees who were always very friendly. Two of the original employees have stuck it out. Youll know who they are because theyre the friendly ones. Park is conveniently located, but sits right next to the highway, so there is always highway noise. For the price, I cant recommend this park. The new owners are missing the boat on fun, friendly and affordable.

Stayed at this KOA over Memorial Day weekend. Stayed in one of their tents sites. I arrived late Friday evening after getting caught in rain. They were just about to close up up for the day, but they showed me where to find my reservation paperwork. My site did not have any standing water which was great to set up my tent. The site was large and shaded (some have less shade than others). The restrooms/showers were clean and well maintained with plenty of hot water for the shower. The back shower/restroom was not open but the new owners are working on updates and repairs. The office/camp store is well stocked for most essentials and then some. The campground is very pet and kid friendly with lots of activities for all guest to enjoy. They have a bounce pad and had brought in an inflatable water slide for the kids. They have a spacious fenced in dog area and a large grassed area for pets with clean up stations to pick up up after your pet.The new owners/staff were very friendly and outgoing. They were always available to assist and answer questions their guest may have. They are in the process of repairs and upgrades throughout the campground. During the day they would travel the campground with firewood you could buy right from your campsite without going to the office to pick it up. They even offered to deliver the bundle I purchased at the store since I was on a motorcycle.I would highly recommend this KOA if you are in the Bowling Green area. I will definitely be back when I visit family again.

I have come to appreciate the consistency of KOAs and this place lived up to my expectations. I only give 3 stars because no one told me that the camping sites were right next to a highway. I sooooo wanted to lay in my tent and gaze the stars while hearing wonderful nature sounds. The sounds are there but drowned out by constant traffic. We wanted to stay a few nights but left the next day. The only reason I wont go back is the traffic alone. The place itself is pretty nice. Has free minigolf and catch and release fishing. We had a good time the night we stayed but left for a less traffic noise filled place. I would recommend to someone who can sleep hard through horns and semi truck traffic constantly. Also when I used the bathroom and tried to wash my hands, water was bursting from the faucet almost high enough to touch the ceiling. It was nice, but had flaws.

Its also big rig friendly, easy-in, easy-out. The staff are very friendly and continuously making improvements on thr grounds. Only reason Im not giving this 5-stars is because there is highway noise to consider. Some hours worse than others. Interestingly, nighttime isnt that bad its mostly daytime where it can be a little loud if a semi truck hits the gas. Everything else is good stuff here. Very quiet and clean (at least in April!) Jonathon the maintenance gentleman offered assistance and was raking leaves and working on sites ... he offered to curtail work because of dirt and dust the equipment was creating ... very nice ... all was good; he got leaves removed and we had a great stay! We come every couple months traveling the states! It was awful about a year ago! But the owner had her niece and her husband working there and man you could really see the difference in the campground! It was cleaner so much nicer and things have been painted. We stopped in this past week! I didn’t see Christina or Jason. The campground had trash all over it, no workers could be found for help, leaves are taking over! Sticks everywhere! The bathrooms where dirty and I’m just wondering where this koa campgrounds best workers went? They differently need them back. They was the friendliest and most helpful staff they have ever had. If this is how the campground will be I will not be back and won’t recommend it to anyone. No stars

I had a lovely stay at the Bowling Green KOA! Everyone there was friendly and waved hello to everyone. It felt safe for me (I was traveling alone). Every morning I woke up to GLORIOUS birds chirping and chatting with each other! And the very best part of all was how welcome I felt, all thanks to Kristina and Jason! Thank you, Kristina & Jason, for going above and beyond to make this traveler feel safe and welcome!!!! Just one example of their kindness were the multiple warm, homemade meals that Kristina brought me after it had been raining for nearly a week straight and my camp stove had broken (and all the local wood was wet from the massive thunderstorms!). It was SUCH a kind gesture. What could have been a daunting week instead turned into an adventure with new friends. If youre looking for good people and a beautiful campground, than this is the place for you! Theres a lovely pool, putt-putt, giant chess game, volleyball courts, and beautiful lakes for fishing or bird watching. What a lovely spot to vacation! Im looking forward to visiting again soon!

I thought the price was fairly high and for that reason I probably wouldnt stay again.

Mini golf was covered in geese poop and all of the golf balls were stained. The cabin I stayed in was okay, TV is very bad, our family bought a roku because of this and it worked just fine. For the upstairs I recommend bringing air mattresses and carpet cleaning products as the carpet smells horrible. Fridge was also completely broken but we got it to work again. There were also no activities going on throughout the 5 days I spent there. My family and I had to go to other places in order to find some fun in the trip. I will say this though, fishing was very enjoyable and my family made the best out of the trip which made it fun despite all of the inconveniences.

Our family stayed here for a week touring the area and choose this KOA based on its location despite some negative reviews. We are veteran RV’ers and use facilities at campgrounds - we don’t just setup and retreat indoors like many do. Some things about this KOA. The full hook up sites near I-65 are mostly unshaded but very large. Yes, there is highway noise. The sites closer to the store are well shaded but not as large. Opt for those if you can for shade if you have a travel trailed under 28’. The cement patios and tables and chairs are thoughtful but a big picnic table would be better for a large family. There are a variety of cabins here for rent. Let me address the geese: There are around 20 in the campground but stay near the ponds. Not an infestation like some reviews suggest.Campground could use some TLC to make things more aesthetic. Replace old wood benches by ponds - haven’t been touched in years. Replace broken wood posts near bathhouse, tighten volleyball net, clean up clutter near pavilion, invest in some decent, uniform fire rings and scrap the semi wheel drums. We snagged a patio fire pit from an unused site. The pool was closed during our stay so no review can be given. I think that most people who stay here are travelers like us looking for a place to park for a few days and come back to at the end of the day, not locals out for a weekend camping trip. During the weekdays, the only spots occupied were the larger pullthru sites. The mini golf area was clean and looked ok - just didn’t see any kids on it. The campground is very quiet at night- not many people outside. It’s been hot and humid, but we still enjoy a fire after sunset.Summary: With a little elbow grease and minimal expense, the park could go to five stars. It can’t be relocated so the proximity to I-65 is what it is. There is open space to allow for additional amenities, like a new shower building or playground. All pics were taken on a Sunday evening. In a world where we drive on paved roads most of the time, I think that if the gravel was replaced with paving, the rating would go up. It would not affect my rating, but I think the expectation is for paved roads and sites in campgrounds. Just MHO.

The prices have went up some since last summer but I don’t mind, the workers are very friendly especially the young man and women they have working in the office (Hunter and Lexy). The grounds are being very well kept compared to the summers before. The pool is very clean this year, last year all the chemicals bleached out my bathing suit. The nice couple that lives in the double wide Jason and Christina brought wood to me and are very hard workers. The picnic tables being painted is a nice touch. The pond is very nicely stocked, and the pond is kept clean from trash. Things are looking up for this campground and I will definitely be back if things keep improving!
