Top curl beauty academy is by far the best beauty school in the area! I enrolled in the makeup artistry course and the instructor was very passionate, informational and just overall amazing to learn from. The learning environment was very welcoming & allows you to be very vocal as well which I love. I can honestly say I have majorly improved & benefited from taking this course at Top curl. It was a great experience from beginning to end and the ambience of the salon is a major plus as well, very pretty & clean. Thank you Shanay !!!

The instructor was very professional and funny, she knows how to teach. I’ve learned a lot so fast, all your questions and concerns will be answered. I’m looking to add more under my belt and if she offering the class I need I’m taking it!

I was getting my hair cut very short (shaved) for the first time and colored...black to blond. Shanay was very professional and explained the process step by step and I couldn’t be more pleased of the outcome. My family/friends love it and I receive positive compliments from complete strangers.

My appointment was at 4:00. Shanay had me in and out within one hour. The environment was clean and very professional. I will return soon. Great customer service and conveniently located near the interstate, restaurants and stores.

I went to Training by Topcurl for State Board preparation. I learned a lot . The quality of education was amazing . Prior to registering for class I had a lot of questions . The owner Mrs.Dudley answered all of my questions . Mrs. Dudley was my cousin’s cosmetology teacher . My cousin passed State Board the first time . After doing my research I learned that Training by Topcurl pass rate was successful. One of the top in the DMV.I am so glad I went there because I learned a lot . It’s best to register for multiple sessions to fully prepare yourself for the exam . If you are looking for a cosmetology school I highly recommend this location for Cosmetology , nails and make up . I was so pleased I went back and I took the makeup class and the eyelash class . Now I have added makeup and lashes to my portfolio.

I was searching for a Makeup artistry program in the Maryland/D.C. area for some time. There were lots of beauty schools but none of them catered to the Makeup program ONLY! I finally came across a Eventbrite advertising for the Makeup Artistry Program at the Top Curl Beauty Academy. This is where my life would forever change. I sent a email inquiry online and someone immediately got back to me. I went to the School and met the Director Ms. Dudley who was very much inviting and professional. After a tour of the school I knew this was where I wanted to complete my training.Top Curl was a excellent excellent experience for me! The Instructor (Mrs. Ciney) for the Makeup Program was very knowledgeable and poised. Mrs. Ciney took the time to really dive into the professional side of the Makeup Industry, and use real life experiences to teach. What I like most is sanitation is a must for this school they don’t play. Whenever I was unsure of how to use a certain product, mix, and or maneuver a certain brush Mrs. Ciney was right there assisting. You can see she has a passion for Makeup and want to help others succeed In the industry as well. I can honestly say I have learned so much more than I ever knew prior to attending this class. I learned how to custom blend!! I was just like everyone else taking social media classes. I got my money’s worth and some! I recommend Top Curl to anyone looking to start their journey in Makeup you will NOT be disappointed!

So where do I begin ,My name is Kayla Williams I happen to be a licensed nail tech thanks to the operation on this lovely school by the owner and exquisite teacher Shanay DudleyMrs.Dudleys success with exam preparation and helping students with her 14 year background in cosmetology and her success in finally opening up her public private school or her own in addition to her own salon next door just was the perfect reason for me to not only invest in myself but into the beginning of her success as a private trade school owner .Everything about this school is worth it I began speaking to Mrs Dudley a week before entering then had a private walkthrough of the school. Its nice located under the clock in Mitcheville plaza and also in a shopping center that had several choices for all walks of life including a grocery store . Her part time hours were a plus for me mon-thurs and Saturday for clinicalDuring the duration of my time at TopCurl I learned a whole lot from Mrs .
